Damn man, was seriously impressed by this. Inspired me to experiment with Serum and really just get back into producing again. So many possibilities with this plugin.
I couldn’t help but realize the milk used to make the coffee expired on the thirteenth of July. The video was made 8 days after. This means that either the coffee was made at least 8 days before the video or made with expired milk. Also very good sounds.
Could you duplicate Oscillator A settings into Oscillator B, change the unison in B and then cross-fade between osc A and B to increase/decrease the unison effect - using a macro or an LFO?
Great video really learned a lot of sound design. Can you make a video where you explain how to write chords, create tension, use inversions etc? that would be really helpful.
Not in this case. Post = after. So because all the effects are inside Serum it wouldn't be post processing in this case because he's trying to make the entire sound "within" Serum. I mean, you *could* think of Serum's onboard effects as post-processing the original waveform. Post-processing is a relative term.
@@petertaylor9371 Yeah I get the general idea.. it's just that the whole schtick of Serum effects is bundling post-processing in the synth, just with the added benefits of being able to modulate parameters with the same modulation as the source.
it would be pretty counterintuitive for someone to make a payed serum patch while also showing exactly how they made it so... if he ever does make this downloadable it will be free lol
It's generally used to describe sounds that are made to be imperfect intentionally to give character. Yes I'd say a lot of that comes from the intentional detuning
An analog synth in music production is a synth that isn’t digital, rather it’s a physical synth. This tutorial isn’t analog, its inherently digital because he’s using serum. its made to represent an analog synth
@@prodplanes This doesn't say much about how an analog synth should sound. I like Oversampled's videos, but in this one it's difficult to know which tweaks are for "analogness" and which are just for generally sounding good. I'm aware that people love analog synths, given half of the available softsynths are emulations or approximations of analog counterparts, but throughout all these years I've never quite understood what do these analog synths have that your everyday digital one don't. I only know of the slight tuning imprecisions and apparently the basic waveforms themselves are approximations.
NitroAnilin Music It’s basically the fat and warm sound an analog device can produce. When reaching higher and lower octaves as well, it doesn’t sound too muddy or harsh in those regions. The filters are also what makes a good analog synth, with each filter being incredibly different from another counterpart, like an Oberheim to Roland. It’s also about the effects, which add character and are not just a really clean reverb or chorus. They also add the fat and warm texture to the produced sound. Among other factors, there are a lot of things that get that “analog” sound that is much easier to produce with a hardware synth rather than a digital one.

Hi Ace , big fan here XDDD, could you do a production stream or tutorial maybe? i wanna make music like you :CCCCCC
imagine getting to say a legendary sound designer learned something from your production video

Oh yeah! Awesome stuff!
Congratulations, you are now Serum level 2! 🎉🎉🎉
ikr
No kidding, that sound is one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard
That sounds amazing, dude. Well done. It also sounds like a cool woodwind when it's 100 percent reverb. Perhaps another thing to experiment with?
Oh yeah, definitely, I loved that sound when it was full reverb wet
Never used Serum, but it sounds pretty contemporary, I like it! Great video man!
is nr 1 on music market
Great sound design. Really enjoy all of your content. I don't make Future Bass, but I learn a lot from your videos.
Yes we need more like this

Another quality video. You should do another video on serum chord stacks and the sound design behind that!
I'm really learning a lot from his tutorials ❤️🤧
Let's Go ❤️
This sound is so demented and eerie sounding!
I love your room man
Like OMG that sounds amazing
Sick digital analog synth

You should try to make hardwave genre, I think it would be really cool and challenging :)

Awesome tutorial !! Can you Make a future bass sound design pls ? It would be amazing !!
so how do I snag this preset?
Don't the Serum effects count as post-processing?

10:53 has to be a song. wowee
dawg, how to use the matrix part of serum?
what does it do?
It just lists all the LFOs and Macros you set. You can use it to fine tune them and add aux sources like Peter did in this video.
@@real__ thx man
is this preset available for dl/purchase? great work :)

Your smile reminds me of Cillian Murphy. Unexpected but the best.
Reminds me of the end of Rufus du sol - innerblume (whatsonot remix)
oof that transition in the beginning xD
what coffee machine is it and do you recommend :D
Also, honest question: what makes this analog? Is it the detuning? I never quite understood what people mean by "analog" sounding patches.
