The avata 2 is the best road ever for newcomers. Start with the motion controller and headtracking. Fly from you balcony over your city, sometimes a full km in every direction! Make some nice aerials, you got a good 15 minutes to do so! Now you go home and plug it in to your computer and enjoy the 4K 60 fps. Then a week later you switch to the controller 3. Wow, this give me 10x the control. You start in normal mode, then sport mode. Before you know it you are racing around a school on a saturday, you can go behind so much and still have signal. You learn to move your angle 6 degrees up so you can race close to the ground. At 60 km/h in sport mode close to the ground it feels amazing. Everyday you go out now to fly fast as fuck in sport mode. At home you connect your controller 3 to your PC and you practise acro in the simulator. Uncrashed, liftoff or velocidrone. You also practice hitting that pauze button. You need that in muscle memory as it will safe you many crashes. You are bound to lose oriantation when you fly in acro, but the pauze button will safe you. Then after enough sim time you find a nice open field with soft grass and start flying in acro (manual) but with bank limits on and slightly lower rates. And finally the day will come the bank limits go off and you are zooming around in acro. Within a year you are ready to build and fly a racing quad or something freestyle. The avata 2 is destined to become a big gateway drug between having a drone that flies itself with a screen and actually becoming a angry insect zooming and buzzing and doing flips at 150 km/h.

HARD disagree; beginners should not fly drones off a balcony altogether, that's idiotic advice. You are putting something that can harm someone into the hands of someone who doesn't know what they're doing.
Avata 1 had the benefit of being sturdy for beginners to practice; the 2nd one is an expensive toy for entry-level professional work at best.

TLTR: "Makes FPV more accessible" is the best way to say it!
I just started flying my Avata 2 a couple weeks ago, it is my first ever FPV drone, or even the first drone I've had worth more than $100. I know it sounds silly, and I am practicing manual mode on a FPV sim called Liftoff with the DJI remote 3, but using the Motion controller is crazy easy! I can easily go from 35mph treetop surfing to slower tree dives where I can explore all of the gaps in the branches. Tight gaps are rather easy. I have some of the coolest footage of my family and local parks, footage you can only get with a drone. Getting registered with the FAA isn't all that fun, but super worth it. To someone who is used to Manual mode already, the motion controller would probably feel super limited considering I think the top speed in Manual is 65ish mph (35 in Sport Mode). But for a noob like me the motion controller is the easiest way to get the thrills of FPV without the anxiety off messing up your inputs.
Also it took a few days to figure out all of the software I needed, but GyroFlow for stabilization is the best! Make sure to turn off rocksteady, EIS should be off, and the camera should be set to wide mode ( not sure is ultra wide mode records the gyroscopic data that GyroFlow needs to stabilize.
I use Video Proc Blogger to edit color and clip and stitch video, as it is free like GryoFlow.
Optionally I use Video Proc converter AI ($45 for a lifetime key) mostly to convert videos to other formats depending on what I want to display the video on. Video Proc converter AI also has a different video stabilizer for regular hand recorder video if need be, as well as AI super resolution, and Frame Interpolation (using Ai to increase the frame rate of a video, I have not tried this yet, but it is there.)

I still use my DJI FPV (Had it since day one) to do my R/C plane chase vids. I need 80mph+ and the adj on the fly cam angle helps a lot.
I got the Avata and now the Avata 2 for close in work. (Under 60mph) Also for teaching. I've taught my Grand Daughter at 6 and adults older. All flying for the first time.
I also have the first Mav and the Naz 6 and about 10 more much older ones.
I have a saying: "Get in where you fit in." I use the one that works in the place I need it to. I see too many commentors try to show it in lights that are basic user apples to pro user oranges.
Everything you said is only valid for pro user oranges.

Sick video! I never really had interest in getting into FPV, but I think if I was to, I would buy the Avata 2 for ease of use, space and battery life like you mentioned, or go the total opposite direction and build custom drones to fit an action camera. But I would not consider the original DJI FPV. Hi, I'm Gustavo, the cinematic, Mavic guy ahhahaha ❤

I finally got to fly my avata 2 in manual mode today and I loved it, sure it isn’t as fast as some of my fpv drones, but it’s definitely easier and the vision in the goggles is so clear that I don’t really care that I’m not going as fast, because I feel confident flying fast close to the ground.

I just signed up to the channel, I noticed that in the video when the DJI FPV flies with the action cam it makes a strange noise, the same thing happens to me, but I find many videos where the drone flies well without making strange noises, could you tell me any suggestions or answers? To be honest I'm not totally sure what you're referring to sorry :( When I fly the FPV with the Ace Pro on top I don't notice any weird noises. And in the video there's only the sound of the drone flying but there's no audio from the actual Ace Pro clips from the fpv drone.

I’m glad the battery bank is attached to the head piece on the avata 2 because on the original fpv the extra cord dangling was a bit annoying for me at times, but is it a bit concerning with the battery bank being right behind the head now, what do you think ?

    • @Markchristiankc
      @Markchristiankc  Месяц назад +1

Although I only used it once I didn’t feel any warmth coming from the battery when I was wearing the headset. I’m pretty confident in DJI’s battery technology to feel comfortable wearing it on my head. Plus it is way more convenient than having that dangling wire. But I totally get your concern. I think it’s fine :)

Coming from the FPV world, I am really enjoying the A2! The image quality is amazing! The image quality of the O3 system with the googles 2 is fantastic also . It really depends on what and where you are filming !. My tiny oddity XI20 is a 4s bundle of fun with the O3 on it! You can go places that even the Avata 2 wouldn't think of going, but the pilots skill level has to be much much much better! With all that said other than the lack of repairability of the A2, I am so totally enjoying the many cool features of the A2! First of all the battery life is crazy long.! I love the ability to switch from the motion controller with head tracking to the RC3 . Head tracking is such an amazing feature! It adds a whole new dynamic to FPV! Will that trickle down into our regular FPV drones one day!? I hope so!! Next, the ability to hit that brake button and chill out is really nice! One neat example, 3 of us were flying together. One buy had A2! We were chasing him which was pretty easy, but then. We lost him and couldn't find him to save our life! He kept laughing and said I'm hiding in a tree!. We were like WHATTTT!. Yes you can you the MC and maneuver into the tightest of spots and just sit there! That's amazing 😂😮
There are so many other things to talk about!
Lastly, I want to mention the portability of the A2 ! The entire flymore combo plus the RC3 all fit in the really nice , compact bag supplied ! I find that so attractive compared toy FPV backpack and 2 battery bags! One for charged and one for used batteries. So,. In conclusion, DJI knocked it out of the park with the A2!
By the way you have a new subscriber! Happy flying!!
