    I will just say from experience in upgrading my headlights on my Volvo. They use projectors just like on your Abarth, but do be aware that the lens on the projectors are designed for halogens and not for LEDS, as the beam pattern differs between the different bulbs. Also bare in mind the reflectors within the projects do degrade with the exposure to heat for all those years, which will explain why mine used to be terrible, so no matter how bright your bulbs may be, the light output might only be ever so slightly better. Which is why i bought myself brand new projectors with in built LEDs which are insanely bright, they’re about the same as my dads brand new Audi which has factory fitted matrix LEDs. Just putting it out there that just an LED bulb replacement might not work for everyone, do your research lads👍

      You know that LED manufacturers have figured out how to get the LED to have the same light pattern as the halogens, not all but if you shop around you will find some that make the claim so it should equate to a brighter bulb shooting the same way

    • @sebvds8366
      @sebvds8366 2 месяца назад

      @@danielgriffiths8725 So i’ve got a V50 and i’ve bought aftermarket projectors which have the LED built in. So the glass lense is designed for that particular light output so the beam pattern is literally perfect. Massive improvement over standard halogen. if you’re talking about halogen bulbs on your V60 i have a feeling you don’t have projectors but instead the standard reflectors, but do correct me if i’m wrong. If you do have projectors, go have a look at retrofit lab. I bought mine from there but it did still need a bit of DIY tinkering to get it to fit properly with the brackets they supply. On my V50 i am pretty sure that the bmw E46 projectors are a direct fit but i have no clue if that’s the case for your car.
      One thing to mention if you don’t have projectors from factory, then it’s a big finicky job to convert them to projectors, requires quite the skill but it has been done before.

    I've done the led swap on my car, what I would say is that if your low/dipped and high beam are using the same bulb (most cars) then be careful. You don't want to be the guy blinding everyone coming towards you with your low beam, a lightbar hooked up to the high beam is usually not that difficult to install.

    Dont forget guys. This modification is actually illegal and will most likely result in a failed MOT. You cannot convert Halogen headlights to LED headlights. You'll notice that when he shows the box, it specifically says "off road use only" meaning that it is not for use on main public roads. If you want actual road legal LED headlights, then you should buy an aftermarket entire headlight unit.

      100% correct.
      The government website states that vehicles manufactured after 1986 cannot have their halogen light bulbs upgraded to HID or LED.
      The government website also outlines the MOT which states the same. It also states that bulbs must have an E marking otherwise it's an MOT failure. No car LED bulb has the E marking.
