Stone Coat Countertops That's what kids do - destroy furniture. Don't have sense of the value of money. But hey, it's wonderful to have kids, they give life to the house. Love your new dining table!
My daughter destroyed a $300 computer monitor (CRT, back in the day) by squirting orange juice in the ventilation holes. The kids destroyed a TV similarly.

If that were my table I would leave the last topcoat off it looks shinier and more beautiful before the last step so I wouldn’t do the last step. It looks like you took it from SHINee to Matte? I prefer the shiny! Really nice job on that table!!!!🌸
@@StoneCoatCountertops Not sure yet. Have to decide whether to build my cabinets out of walnut or birch. Walnut being dark and birch being light, I want the countertops to contrast. I LOVE walnut but just don't know yet. Wife will decide. Have been watching your vids for years and at first I was like don't know about this. But over time I've become a big fan. I was really sold when Mike did the torture test for the kitchen. I plan on making up a small panel and setting a hot pizza pan, hot pan etc... to test for myself. Yeah, very impressed. All of a sudden there is this product called Top Coat. Absolutely Beautiful project!! I have wanted to do something like this for a long time but I'm scared to screw it up. Thank you for posting this tutorial video to help boost my confidence and start my very first project! Thank you!!
Beautiful, beautiful work! A piece of art! And no folks, that video was not in fast motion, Mitch works and rolls that fast!!! (I know, discouraging!) Would take me a couple of weeks.
This is a beautiful table. I did a bit of checking on TSP and as suspected it's recommended that waterproof gloves are worn to limit exposure. Just thought I'd mention that.
This is a gorgeous result, and I'm thinking my first epoxy project might be to try this pour on a mission-style coffee table and 2 matching end tables. I did wonder how you did the apron of the table? That gives it a super-custom look that I would love to try on the coffee table. Grateful for any tips, and always for your generous videos. Thank you!

I LOVE you guys, can you do a video on how to make a modern waterfall edge kitchen island with wood or some other inexpensive material and then do a cool marble like finish with earth tones similar to this? Pleeeeaseee???!!! I really want to do this for my kitchen.
Please I really love watching your videos. My question is With the undercoat, what paint can you use.. I’m a pit confused. Can you show me the name since you used white undercoat. What product is that please 🙏🏽
What did you do top get the top smooth? I used this over a counter top I made for our bathroom and it has a definite texture to it. I called Feb 1 to ask if I did something wrong and was told that I did everything correctly and this finish has a definite texture to it. The nice lady on the phone told me she got the same results I did and the orange peel finish is normal. I asked if this could be sanded smokth and she said yes but I would likely need to start with 60 grit and work my way up. I bought this to avoid having to do that! Sure would have been nice to know I was not going to get the same results you did on the dining table and bathroom counter you did in the 4 part videos.
Can i epoxy coat my dining table instead of spray lacquer if I wanted that high gloss look? Which would you recommend for someone who's never done any DIY furniture painting?
I say of all the jobs you did I love this table top number #1 BEST ! I've always loved exotic pours and i did one once with whit marble. But the colors seemed to blend together to much even though I did not stir the mixed blend in the bucket as warned. Have you ever tried or thought of pouring all the mixed colors into paint roller pan pouring them maybe in long ribbons across the pan attempting to not mix colors up. Hoping to have color sections just laying there alone without blending colors together YET. . Now when you pour the colors out from the pan all the ribbon rows will flow together as poured. Take note you have the option to pour at the corner of the paint roller pan or pour from one of the flat spots of pan.
I enjoyed the video, I enjoyed how it was presented. And I enjoyed the family time. I too have 4 boys. Great job. I have an all wood table that has stone inside of it. I had the table for about 12-15 years and wanted to give it a facelift for years. Now I have an idea. Thank you. Do you think it would be wide to use these products to cover the stones that’s on top of it?
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! But how do you keep from getting anything that may be floating around in the air from getting on it when wet!! I have a problem with that on my acrylic pour paintings. I love your products!! Thank you - this was an awesome project to watch.
With the top coat you sand the imperfections out before applying. I'm sure there were some in there. For my small projects I built a cabinet to put things in to minimize floaters.
That's my problem as well, I think there's really no easy & cheap way of really accomplished that. My way to minimize dust is to spray fine mist of water spray across my project room. Then only i do the pour
You should wear a respirator with A2 filtr with lifetime indicator when working with epoxy and better gloves of course and respirator with p3 filter when sanding epoxy or whatever otherwise your kids and will lost dad, and your wife will lost a husband Epoxy and its fumes are very toxic when not cured but also skin contact is dangerous so please safety first Your tables are amazing
@@stilly88888888 Just FYI we did this for our countertops and left them shiny.
