    Your tutorials are so helpful. I love that yu show us the stuff that doesn't work, such as the knitting needles.

    This is such a great tutorials. Thank you so much. I want to make different batches of beads. How do I keep them the same size?

    • @UnrulyHousewife
      @UnrulyHousewife  Год назад

      Um... I guess use a similar amount of clay and keep comparing? Be careful about touching baked beads after touching raw clay (you'll get raw plasticisers on them and they might go sticky).

    Thanks for the video you are a great teacher I just started I'm still a beginner and I'm learning I'm a crocheter and I wanted to do something different with my grandchild my question is when you made the stripes underneath did you use the same colors that you did on The strips at the beginning thanks

    • @UnrulyHousewife
      @UnrulyHousewife  6 лет назад

      Erm... The middle chunk was made of scrap clay but it was pretty much the same colours as the strips I added. Those strips twist around as you roll and make the thin stripes. x

    Where can I find an acrylic block like you're using? I haven't found them anywhere I've looked. Thank you.

    • @UnrulyHousewife
      @UnrulyHousewife  4 года назад +1

      They are the blocks used to mount rubber printing letters/pictures. I got mine from Amazon. Look at printing blocks, or papercraft stuff...

      I'm not sure from personal experience but this lady knows a LOT, has a background in Science and does her homework: thebluebottletree.com/floor-wax-on-polymer-clay/

      They are the ones people attach rubber printing stamps to - so any card-making section of a craft store. I got mine from Amazon. x

    when i try rolling on a skewer it make the hole large messes up the bead,,is that why the one direction & the pinching the ends?

    • @UnrulyHousewife
      @UnrulyHousewife  7 лет назад

      Tialisa Chapman Do you roll it with a block, or something? You're not holding the skewer are you, or that will happen. If you are doing it right and that still happens, try making sure that the core is really warm and soft. Also start it off gently. I roll one way to bend the stripes in one direction.

    • @Telenaus
      @Telenaus 7 лет назад +1

      not holding the skewer but im rolling it by hand so maybe the pressure is to uneven?and it may also be because the clay is cold...Thanks!!i'll try it this way instead!

    I live for danger! *grins* I use the glass from picture frames all the time and don't have the edges protected. Of course I also use my cutting blades without the handles so if I am not looking I run the risk of cutting myself. I have too. :P I don't mind it though. Just further alteration of my fingertips so I can't be identified. *laughs*
    Those are really neat looking. Very well done and thank you for sharing. :D - Heidi

    Have you ever made molds for yourself? Not texture plates, but molds of dolls' faces, buttons, etc? I have had the MOST indifferent success despite watching tutorials (some of which are ridiculous, such as the ones that use a hot glue gun and drizzle a pile of glue over an object). :)

    • @UnrulyHousewife

      I have... I like Oyumaru, which is reusable (I think I have a review on here somewhere). Available on Amazon, of course.
