- Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons was one of radio's longest running shows, airing (October 12, 1937 to April 19, 1955), continuing well into the television era. It was produced by Frank and Anne Hummert. The sponsors included Whitehall Pharmaceutical (as in Anacin, Kolynos Toothpaste, BiSoDol antacid mints, Hill's cold tablets and Heet liniment), Dentyne, Aerowax, RCA Victor and Chesterfield cigarettes.

I found this thru the lost episodes of "The Honeymooners". Ralph lost his razor blades & he blamed Alice bcuz he couldn't find them. Alice said, "Who am I Keen Tracer?" I had to find out. This is a hidden treasure! Thank You.
My Grandmother would joke about Mr. Keen whenever I needed to find something! (Incidentally, the theme music is "Someday I'll Find You.")

Thank you for uploading this old time radio record album. I checked it out from the library back in 1976. Middle aged people in the 1970s became enamored in the nostalgia craze as the Greatest Generation looked back into the past. The baby boomers were into the "now" scene and didn't care about the past. I enjoyed listening to old time radio shows , because I was able to read and study. Now we boomers are the elder generation and we look back on our old TV shows , movies and music as our bridge to the past, lol!

I do home health care and my clients wife lost her glasses so I found them for her. It happens a lot, today she said there used to be a show called Mr Keen tracer of lost persons, and said I’m mr Fuller tracer of lost things. So I said check this out and I went to RUclips and looked it up. Blew her mind.. now she’s in the next room and I’m sitting here enjoying it!

A very good episode of "Mr. Keen" from seven decades ago. Most radio programs were ceasing production by the early 1950's, so "Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons" lasting until 1955 indicates it had a following. There were few radio programs on the air after the 1955 - 1956 season. Most radio "voices" and announcers did not find comparable work in television because it required a different skill set.

Thanks for sharing another fun "blast from the past" with us ! My gosh....for a radio program to run from '37 to '55 is totally incredible ! Many people still couldn't afford TVs or had no TV signal where they lived well into the 50s, so I'm glad the networks continued to provided programs for them to listen to !
My high school principal always referred to me as mr keen tracer of lost persons. Now I know why. Last name is keen. No relation. Haha
