- Bar's stop leak can damage your engine well watch and find out. we start with how to stop a leaking radiator for under 5 dollars. so if your car is leaking or dripping antifreeze fix the problem quickly. please let us know should we try k-seal & Liqui moly stop leak along with blue devil next?
#Nia #stopleak
What should we test next?
Can u try again, u should put anti leak first without mix with coolant, let anti leak flow first before water flow, or need more anti leak if mix with water
You should try with Conklins Dike!
I made for certain the product was mixed.
Thanks for sharing
try Liqui moly Radiator stop leak
I missed the answer. When did you tell us whether it worked out not??
😅
The key to this is get to full temp at least 20 mins and all the pellets must go in that's the active ingredient they disolve in the hot coolant ,
The largest scientific testing organization in the world, ASTM, has standards for these products, to ensure they work and cause no engine damage, the main standard being ASTM 6107. This product passed the standard.
He added bars without the actual pellets!!! 😂
There's white pellets in the container that sink to the bottom. You just put in the solvent from the top. Why would you expect that it would work if you're not dumping in the whole bottle? Or at least scooping out some of the pellets from the bottom?
😁👍 👍 👍
It worked for me
but I put the whole bottle of course with pellets like instructed
It worked for me. My radiator had a bad leak too! Beware though this stuff is super thick. Almost like a milkshake. Only use a half of it though if you have a 4 cylinder.
Did you pour the beads in too?
What about if you have a V8?
What about a 6 cylinder?
Thank you for making this video!
What it showed me is that this product changes the color of your coolant to a color that almost resembles / can be confused with the milky color that comes from being contaminated with engine oil. i used this stuff yesterday and it worked to stop the leak in my radiator, but then my coolant turned this color and i thought i was going to blow my head gasket. Very relived to know that this product turned my coolant this color and not oil!
absolutely , i'm here bcause of this exact same issue!!
looks like you added WAY too much stop leak. That bottle is for 3 gallons and you used about 15% of it, which would be for 1.8 gallons. I agree with other comments. cant tell what happened...
What kind of math is that ?
Uh, 3 gallons x 0.15 = 0.45 gallons. To make it more simple for you. 0.15 + 0.15 = 0.30 Then 0.30 + 0.15 = 0.45.

But he didn't add the active ingredient, the pellets which melt in hot liquid. SO it doesn't matter.
It works 90 percent of the time, Why do you think they have been selling it for decades. would I put it in a nice car, Hell no. These are poor mans fixes and have saved people thousands of dollars.
This stuff worked for me, make sure the pellets go in also.
It has a lot of pellets
Do you put all pellets in a bottle
Ehh, the amount you pored into the antifreeze is about half of what you would for a 4 cylinder engine. On the bottle, it says to use about half for 3,4, or 5 cylinder engines, and the full bottle for 6 cylinders and up. And the radiator is tiny, so that may be a big contributing factor.
No pellets
I used this product of a massive leak. And it stopped it. It works. But you need the pellets.
Just a suggestion, a more accurate way of heating the coolant would be to put the container on an electric burner. Then you could measure the radiator tube temps with an infrared thermometer. Great concept though!

Bars aluminum formula fixed my leak. ‘Twas leaking coolant into my motor causing misfire. Bars fixed leak. Ten dollah fix. Use bars now !
First, you didn't get the pellets in the antifreeze. Those pellets need to be circulating. It is the pellets which stop up holes. However, it's pretty clear (as I discovered myself today) that Barr's Leak (note spelling) has oil in it. I just ran 15 gallons of flush water through my coolant system and there is still some yellowish oil on top of the coolant.
So do you recommend it?
@@obedb7163 I have successfully used it a number of times, but it doesn't work for everything.
I would have liked to see the actual temperature the liquid state was in with time frames.
Yea you had to put the pellets or at least a few in the anti freeze and eventually getting warm enough to melt them and flow into the hole. The outer open air of the hole cures the liquified pellets . They have an extremely strong seal once they have done the job... The liquid is an anti rust and water pump lubricant...Good 👍 VIDEO though
Seems he added too much for that tiny radiator. Wgphat was the outcome?
misleading heading. Don't see any danger, though not clear if it's working either.
The liquid one seems to work better. The pellets first would come out the bottle second my car I can't pore in the radiator only a reservoir. I think it just sat at the bottom of it. Will it eventually slide into the radiator?
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no it won't go into the radiator. It very might clog the hose that runs to it because the diameter of the hose is very small. The reservoir is pretty much just an over flow for the radiator. Once the vehicle gets warmed up the system is pressurized and it pushes the antifreeze from the radiator to the reservoir and when it cools then vice versa. If you already tried it and it worked than good deal but honestly don't think it will
1:03 Where are all the pellets gone? I bought a bottle and it contains lots of pellets, which aren't easily melted unlike what it says on the bottle. But where are they in your video?
I have a question if the pellets were whole and someone put the pellets in will it mess it up?
Do you need to drain your system with this brand of of it good to go?
Right the stuff has a brown glue texture. I had to shake it up with some coolant before adding it.👩🔧
k so instructions say put it in cooled engine, then they’re saying it needs to be heated to melt and fill the leak. so idling the vehicle is the act by which ingredients are heated im assuming. it was a bit confusing bc i overthink, n i feel the video did not help with clarity. also the pellets do not go down easy but warmer ( sun-soaked ) water to coerce it all down. didn’t let it idle for twenty minutes
Why are you heating the temperature probe? You didn't change the temp of the coolant by doing this. Very poorly carried out test. You needed to heat the fluid to operating temp, use the probe to monitor the fluid temp, dump the entire bottle in and maintain fluid temp and PRESSURE that's in a cooling system(16psi-ish) for the amount of time it specifies on the bottle. Sorry solid thumbs down for this one
Aluminum dust works great
The whole system needs to be up to temperature including the liquid not just the outside of the radiator. Of course it isn't going to work like that.
I need the coolant in the glass to be bubbling scorching hot to verify if this would work the torch an little wire to keep it heated I mean come on of course it ain't going to work that torch its not going to make the coolant 220+ degrees how's how's bars leak going to heat up an do its job?
This work good yes or not on plastics radiator
Final point. No guess
Radiator out of an F250?
I've use this one and it worked for me, it contains pellets in it that stop the leak.
HERPY DERPEDY did u poor the stop leak straight in the coolant resevoir ?
@@ezramiller5506 yeah, no other place to put it on our Ford expedition.
@@bryanmartinez6600 did you add the pellets directly into the radiator? On the instructions it says not to so im not sure if I just add the liquid like the guy in the video
Dude, do you need a better understanding of physics. It's not going to see you unless it's pressurized.
Did it work? I don't know that's why I'm watching the video. Did it stop the leak?
Not thats great
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO I had a couple of freeze plugs go bad. Coolant would run out the bottom as quick as I could feel it. I used the two-part stuff. One side is blue one side is silver. Might be bars but I don't remember. That was a year-and-a-half ago and haven't seen a drop since.
None the wiser!...how we supposed to know if the stuff worked.?!!!
عمل رائع شكرا لك
Cool
You so exhageratted it, why inhale that dirt alone
I don’t like that white colour
Not good at all.
Thats what i thought.
Seized my engine
Bars is trash
