Logic is tripping. We have even less fathers in the household than in the 80s and the 90s. Yes there are less babies and that's because of the culture. Abortion is through the roof, recreational sex, schools teach kids to use birth control and condoms and there's an LGBTQXYZ epidemic where some cities like San Francisco, and Atlanta half if not most the people is gay.

I know for my family, when the great aunts, uncles and my grandparents passed away, the family split in all directions. Family reunions and big family get togethers essentially stopped. Little cousins and younger family members don't know who all of their cousins are. Hell even I need a reminder from time to time nowadays.
It was that generation that died out that created the "village" she's speaking of. A generation of married family members who had that stable family unit. Growing up a good amount of them also didn't live that far from one another too. If I rode my bike down the road into a neighborhood two blocks away and acted a fool, there was a family member still close by enough who'd pull that switch off of a tree lol.
A bunch of broken homes full of people who know each other don't make a village. It was a bunch of aunties who was always home because their husbands were at work. Always around to line you up no matter where in the neighborhood you decide to go.

In my opinion single motherhood is the problem , not fatherlessness . I say it because its the women who are single mothers by choice , they literally champion it & wear it like a badge . Next i was raised traditionally but i was also taught to adapt . As such i no longer feel that as men we should exhausting our resources to allow women to hoard and stack hers . We also have to protect ourselves now days . When i grew up my father took care of the home and paid all the bills . He made around 50k and we never missed a meal , had summer vacations to va beach , 4th of july trips to camden park if anybody remembers that place 😂 , great christmases etc . He drove a ford thunderbird for a everyday car & had a cadillac fleetwood brougham for family trips and occasions . We had video games , nice huffy bicycles etc . All the trappings of a firmly established middle class family . It can be done cause i lived it .
