The best comedies out there are the ones that can be both equally hilarious and depressing at the same time without you really noticing until you're supposed to. Farewell Futurama. You will always be in our hearts and minds.

it's the little touching episodes; fry's nephew, fry's dog, the mom episode,... and the late philip j fry, the ones where he plays that holocorder, this one (of course), and many other touching ones that kinda caught you unawares when you expected comedy. The honey sting episode really threw me until the end.
i'd like one final movie, just for closure ... with the crossover with the simpsons episode, it may just happen.. hopefully.

I never get tired of Futurama. No other animated sitcom could bring so many forms of tear to your eyes within a 30 minutes time span. Tears of joy and tears of laughter, tears of sorrow and loss, of euphoria and awe, of sympathy and pain.
Futurama may have ended, but it's legacy lives on inside each fan as a much clearer and brighter undertanding of what it means to be human.

Futurama has a lot of episodes that make me laugh my ass off, but there are episodes like Lethal Inspection, Luck of Fryish and Jurassic Bark that have feels. The scene where you realize that Seymour waited for Fry and he never came back. Or the one where they show that Fry's brother named his child after Philip and of course the one where Hermes saved little Bender
So many beautifully sad moments in this show. For me Jurassic Bark and the end of Time Keeps on Slippin' where Fry spells out "I love you, Leela" with the stars but she doesn't see it before they implode. It's funny how something so simply such as a cartoon can move you so much with so little.
I love those episodes and the last season as a whole how they tied everything up and things ended happy for everyone pretty much. I especially love the very last episode

Actually. Fry did come back. Season 6 Episode 1. Where they kept going back in time. Fry lived until 2012 in a room above the pizza shop. Seymour was fossilized instantly because Bender shot some kind of heat ray in his room.
I also know of this song from Futurama. The final episode made me ball like a baby.

Fry to Leela, "Wanna do it all over again?". That single line made me cry like a little girl losing her first boyfriend.

Always hitting us with emotions
My cat just passed away she loved this song, I sung it to her before she passed. She would sit in my lap while I watched futurama. Been listen to this alot it what I have left that we shared together.

Like most of you I found this song because of Futurama, also "Baby Love Child" by Pizzicato Five which is at the end of the episode where Leela finds her parents - truly the most moving one for me but there are others including: The Time Button one (Fry:"Wanna go 'round again?" Leela:"I do."), The Bee Sting one (my titles so that I can remember what the heck they are about) - (Leela:"You could use a shower." Fry:"So could you.") Good to watch a programme with such depth in it as well as social satire. That's why I also like The Simpsons. PS FYI - don't go looking for Baby Love Child on iTunes because it's not there (at least it wasn't in August 2014) I found it thru a Google Search as I did this song.

Same here! I never listen to DVD commentaries, but the ones for Futurama are awesome. They're all so funny; not just the voice actors, but the writers and directors and producers, too. And you can tell it's not just a job to them. They genuinely LOVE the show.

I remember when I was little, my mom would sing this to me before bed. After the years my mom stopped singing it to me because I was getting older. Then, when I was watching Futurama, this song came on. It brought back memories of when my mom sang it to me.

As funny as the show is, it also has more heart than most shows on TV.

Favorite Futurama episode of all time just because of how moving the ending was! (And the build up!)

Looked this up because of yet another brilliantly done Fururama scene. Did not expect to loop this song so many times. Very soothing tune, and even the singer's spoken voice is very relaxing. If someone told me she did audiobooks, I'd have only one thing to say: "Shut up and take my money!"
But didn't Bender say his mother was a Bulldozer and in one episode he was manufactured by robots. It was the one where he meets that robot he likes at a bending company, but then she likes her ex-husband. So Bender originated 3 different ways.

But that wasn't actually bender. That was a robot that looked like bender, named "billy west"
Just careless writing.
Then again, they always change the story with Bender, he's always 40%...something.
He arrives for inspection fully built, so it's possible he was built by the robot arm and then inspected afterwards. In fact, I believe in the earlier episode where they show a flashback of his creation, the robot arm gives him a beer, and when he gets to Hermes in the later episode he's still drinking it.
There are a lot of inconsistencies in this show but this one fits together pretty nicely.
This song is making it really hard not to cry. Thankfully the episode right after this one, Dr.Farnsworth did some shit that cheered me right back up.
