  • This video contains clips of the various animals that roam around a creek on my property near Lincoln Nebraska. I try to use clips that are interesting or funny or animals just doing whatever they do in their daily lives. Animals included are beaver, birds, coyote, deer, squirrel, my dog, opossum, raccoon and turkey vulture.

Thanks for commenting. I enjoy seeing what the wildlife is doing when there’s nobody watching, except for the cameras. 😀

This was very interesting and enjoyable! Loved watching the coyotes, they've been hunted out in our rural area because of "protecting" livestock. And I'm so jealous, you have beaver too. Our farm didn't, even though we had a creek and the remnants of a dam (small manmade) on it.

I’ve lived here for 14 years and didn’t have beavers either until about 3 1/2 years ago when they just showed up! A lot of folks tell me to get rid of the beavers and coyotes. Too bad… I like them and they’re safe as long as they stay on my property. Thanks for the comment.

Time stamp 6:55 Indigo Bunting. On the left....Beautiful shots of the cardinals. Nice to see what lurks in the shadows at night.

Thanks for the bird I.D. We don’t have a lot of blue colored birds around here, so with my limited knowledge, I figured it was just a bluebird. I also enjoy seeing the creatures that normally go unseen in the dark.

love beavers, but they can sure be destructive. they'll drop every tree in sight, given long enough.

I liked that clip too. First off all, both the deer and raccoon appeared frightened of each other and when the raccoon tight-roped down the tree branch they previously always landed on their feet like a cat. This time the raccoon seems to fall and does a somersault before getting its footing and walking away with an “I meant to do that” attitude. Thanks for your comment.

    Are there any bobcats?

    • @larrypeterson3375

My friends tell me there are bobcats around here, but I haven’t seen or heard any and none have showed up on the three cameras I use on my property. The local newspaper reported a mountain lion sighting last fall about a mile south of me, but they cover a lot of ground at night and it may have been just passing through the area.

@@larrypeterson3375 I know but in theory you're in the bobcat range, while the lions are random, not in their current territory, too east from niobrara for them.
