maybe some rubber handlebar mounts and filling the bars with silicone would help the vibes, also I seem to remember the anti vibe mod for early alloy framed crs used to be filling the frame with expanding foam from inside the headset, cool vid series 👍

Hi Dave, Tim here again, hurry up with the dyno vid!!!! Back to back with a stock carb will be very interesting! It has to be said she sounds good rolling on the throttle with the lectron here! As for the crack, rocol do a 3 part crack detection kit, really handy to confirm material flaws.......
Id be speaking too MRE and get a decomp head asa and a recut bring the comp ratio up too 13. With later design on the chamber, also get the crank n piston balanced spark plug centrally located by the same guy, and the bikes got a strange sound for k5 if your looking for a bike with more snap throttle response go with an internal flywheel stator set-up. Can we have some close ups of the fixings that reduce the vibrations.
Looking forward to the dyno video... I’ve got a Lectron on my 300/2 KTM. It runs great, so crisp and clean, any conditions, all the time... no mods, 4-2 metering rod on stock length. Stock PWK was fine but only ran well when it was jetted leaner, used to load up and rich bog a lot. Running it in the dunes of the UAE though. 😄 S3 high comp head, Lectron 38HV kit, SXS CDI, FMF Fatty and PC2, choice of PV spring to fit. She rips. Good to see people keeping the smokers going! 😎👌🏼
Just found this channel I can see you know how to ride because I ride the same monster Kx500 af only ever ridden 500s on my bike I have a hydraulic clutch big difference for when you get tiered if you do fit it you need a 5mm space where it goes on eng lug so it’s nice and straight there’s not much room to work with cheers 🍺

Its about time you found yourself an AF500.. Even though I prefer the CR500af. The KX500af is an incredible machine as well. Both 500's in a modern chassi will destroy any 450 4puke.

I hope in the very near future you race this KX500af. Against the 2021 450 4pukes. With lap times. Plus side by side.. good honest video. But, you have to use a tire combo that can handle the 500. Dumblops suck. Go with the New Maxxis Jeremy McGrath design. Or the Pirrelli MX32.
Hoosier is making a tire that another utuber is using. And he feels like it works well with the 500's. Kaplan Cycle in Connecticut...from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s stay safe
That's the problem with aluminum it does not Flex KTM makes their motorcycles out of chromoly and yet they are still the lightest bikes out there. Get rid of that aluminum junk and put it inside of a KTM chromoly frame you'll like it a lot better.

Thanks mate. Yes I have a Boyesen Reed block already. I’ll look into the flywheel and price up the VHM

Believe it or not the Keihin 38mm Airstryker carb with the JD jetting is much easier to set up. Plus, way cheaper.

Put the twenty billet clutch lever off 24mx made my cable clutch better than a hydrolic
