Just an interesting thing to be added: The announcer voice actor from super smash bros ultimated stated in an interview that they made him record character names of characfers that were not even present in the game or developed as dlc, just so he could have no idea which one they were working on
8:30 maybe Pyoro is intentionally keeping information until it is about to be announced so that if Nintendo would investigate him they would look at the wrong divisions, allowing him to escape every time
Pyoro is an interesting figure. He's not just somebody looking for clout or making random guesses or even straight out revealing stuff. He just likes teasing people with riddles and stuff about games that he knows will happen.
Pyoro >>> that idiot clown Zippo who came up with this bullshit Mario Kart "crossroads" and thought Foreman Spike would make an appearance in 2D Mario 💀💀
I like riddles. When he was talking about dolphins, I already knew that it was Open ocean! And as someone who has dipped into almost every Nintendo series no matter how obscure, you better believe I know my open oceans!
OK, here's my theory. Pyoro isn't leaking Nintendo Direct information. Nintendo creates the Nintendo Direct to fit what Pyoro says..... _by FORCE!!_ He'll tell them to create a remake of The Thousand-Year Door..... and they'll do it, because if they don't, he'll use his long tongue to eat the employees one by one! 😈
I think an important component of this is that I believe Pyoro only has access to certain promotional materials, such as key art. For example, when he leaked Mario Wonder and posted emojis hinting at it, all of those could be determined simply by looking at the key art for the game. So I do think your theory is correct in that he's some way connected to the social media/promotional team, and is only provided with certain materials (and only a few days before they are to be made public) rather than all of the details, the latter of which are probably kept more confidential/internal.
Pyoro recently accidentally leaked his location in a now deleted twitter post. He was in Kyoto, a very specific part of Kyoto at that. He's clearly very closely tied to Nintendo JP.
Wow… By writing the leaks in english, he was deflecting the attention towards the NoA staff, so he f*cked up big time with that (deleted) tweet. Either that, or he's actually playing 4D chess (that deleted tweet could also be a *fake* hint on his whereabouts).
Keep in mind this stuff is easy to fake and I wouldn’t be surprised if the tweet was posted and planned to be deleted on purpose to direct attention to someone who actually works at Nintendo
Something to support your social media manager theory is that Pyoro did not know about the partner showcase last week despite every insider saying it would happen. But then as soon as this week came around he finally leaked. That means he doesn’t even know about the announcements he leaks until almost right before he leaks them.
But the other leakers where wrong, they predicted it a week in advance, while Pyoro when asked said he didn't hear anything about it being that week However, he does seem to only know information a week or two in advance, meaning he's likey a translator
I always thought he was working as like a localizer/video editor on Nintendo Directs. I mean SOMEONE gotta edit those videos, maybe he's somewhat related to this process
I love the way this leaker leaks. He does not straight up spoil the thing that os going to happen. Or post pictures of the thing that is going to happen. He does it in riddles which makes sence after the thing. Like he told us: I hope you like dolphins. So it could be multiple things. The fanous dolphin game coming, or something gamecube related because its codename was dolphin...turned out a other endless ocean game. So we can still hope and do things in the community to talk about the upcoming things.
Plot twist: His profile picture and name are 100% accurate and he just straight up is Pyoro. Like, the actual bird from WarioWare. That's who's running the account.
one thing to keep in mind is that Pyoro is NOT solely a Nintendo Leaker, he has also leaked Game Awards announcements before, I think his focus on Nintendo is a way to blur his trail
A reddit leaker by the name of Practical Brushie (or something like that) was leaking Direct info in 2022. But they were caught, since they were taking it from the youtube backend. So, Pyoro definitely isn't getting info from there as Nintendo likely closed that off.
I can't imagine being this guy and going to work everyday sweating bullets wondering if today is gonna be the day you get called in to the office at work
His leaks are pretty limited, and he's an English speaker. I think that he might work on the marketing team, that's how he's able to get the timeline of things so accurate. That's how he was able to get additional info like when game demo's release, or when Nintendo is going to make announcements.
He posted a poll before the last direct and then deleted it a few minutes later, because it showed his location. I have the screenshot I snagged before the poll was removed. He is in Kyoto-shi, Minami-ku, Japan, basically confirming the Nintendo mole theory to me. The chances he is some rando living in Kyoto, seems unlikely to me.
Then why say he isn't excited for stuff? Or feel the need to disprove the RUclips backend theory? He might work at Nintendo Of Japan, But not actually be a plant
@@jesusramirezromo2037 I don’t buy the plant theory either. I think he works for Nintendo of Japan but is not a plant. I meant he is a mole for his online presence not for Nintendo itself.
It’s important to remember that there are a ton of different nintendo accounts for multiple social media platforms each for a different region. I’m sure a ton of people have access to promotional material and some renders at least a week before any new game is announced.
I feel like theoretically, you can get all the information via laws. I know that (from a business perspective) that when something is set to be announced soon, atleast more than one preson has to know, including most likely the government too or anybody else that needs to know (like if it infringes on copyright or something related to that or a similiar release). Maybe they're just taking advantage of the already set in place laws to get the answers somehow, while posing as something bigger than himself to get those answers. That or he's in Nintendo (English region due to lack of Mother 3 news) or at least his source is.
Pyoro is actually a marketing campaign for the next Wario Land game. It will be revealed that the person behind Pyoro is Wario himself. His goal is to force Nintendo to pay him ransom to fund the next WL game.
While he seems to stick to Nintendo these days, I remember his earilest leaks were actually Sega. Specifically I remember him naming Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth when it was still just known as LaD 8, and he named Sonic Superstars before it was announced. I think there were some others too but I forget what they were.
Bold theories: Pyoro is the video editor of the Nintendo Directs, or the person that translates the Japanese Nintendo Direct scripts into English. 🤔 Although if that were the case, Pyoro would probably been caught by now... and there wasn't any spoken dialogue that needed translation for that Paper Mario reveal, either. 🤷
I just hope as time goes on, Pyoro keeps leaks and rumors as vague as possible with brand new first party releases. Cause…Idk whether clever or not, leakers still kinda suck 😅😅
Despite his namesake, Pyoro did not leak WarioWare: Move It! prior to the June 2023 Nintendo Direct. This leads me to believe that WarioWare games are kept under tighter wraps than Mario games (given he leaked Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros. Wonder), which is incredibly funny if true
He knows about MATLAB so he's definitely something involved or highly interested in IT or mathematics. I doubt he works at Nintendo HQ, but maybe at some third party collabotator who assists Nintendo in some way (voice work, video editing, social media management etc. maybe?)
I would guess he does work at Nintendo, but Nintendo either doesn’t know about it or doesn’t care. If Nintendo doesn’t want him posting they could leave fake info and find out who could find that bogus info.
Remember during the smash 4 hype cycle where someone was leaking smash 4 stuff ended up being the kid of a Nintendo of America employee that later got fired so Pyoru could literally be Doug bowers pet bird 🐦
I believe pyoro is a marketing employee who has a part in uploading some videos to the Nintendo account or does something related to another social media. He only knows certain details in directs nor does he ever say everything that occurs in a direct. He probably only sends these tweets on some outside device that wouldn't be used for work and with a VPN to prevent Nintendo from finding out which employee is sending this information out. Regardless, I think pyoro is a great aspect of nintendo's marketing (intentional or not). He really sets the expectations of the direct ahead of time and doesn't just hype up everything in a direct.
I think it’s an internal Nintendo employee that is doing it intentionally. Why has Nintendo not caught the guy who has leaked everything perfectly? He’s a plant that is placed by Nintendo to drum up hype. Simple marketing.
Absolutely. It’s Nintendo’s way of controlling hype. If Pyoro announces a partner direct a few days in advance, fewer people will be disappointed when a partner direct is announced over a regular direct.
Doubt it Nintendo wouldn't do something like that and hasn't shown to do anything like that, why hasn't nintendo caught this guy? Simple it's not worth their time most of the major leaks are ambiguous and most of the games coming out are remakes
I’m sort of thinking the same thing- the leaks always build up lots of hype and discussion, considering what we know about Pyoro, they could very well be a puppet of Nintendo
Bigger brain take. The dude is doing it of his own volition but nintendo realizes its benificial and pretends to have "not caught" him so he continues to do what he does. If he ever gets out of control then they can claim to have finally "found" him and fire him.
I thought that the "world is a deduction of laws" tweet might be hinting at him being a lawyer who has some kind of connection to Nintendo who gets details about announcements/directs early due to legal information some division of Nintendo has to privately file.
2:10 maybe Nintendo is behind the account but they allow the person running the account to give his personal opinions so that the account doesn't feel corperate personally i doubt Nintendo would do this because i don't see a practical reason to "leak" things when the intire intenet watches their directs anyway
But what company would let someone leak their info? Nintendo sues people when they leak their upcoming games, and they sue them A LOT to the point they make sure their whole life is ruined comepletely.
"What will close the Direct?" = Paper Mario: TTYD Remake? Because "Doors close?" 🤨 There's no way THAT was the hint. Even though he's been accurate with things, I think it's a pretty big stretch to call that tweet one of them.
As someone who works within the games industry and sees how the marketing and social media managers work within a game company I can say that them finding out things a week in advance is absoultely absurd. This is not how games companies operate, these employees would be made privy to information far in advance. There is so much more planning when it comes to a marketing schedule for a game then anyone outside the industry can understand. I highly doubt that these staff even within a secretive company such as Nintendo are not informed until a week beforehand especially due to how much approval is required for each social media post. If you want insight into Nintendo specifically, Kit and Krysta talked about the topic of social media posts in a recent Podcast they did (I don't remember which one), the tldr is that they had to get approval from both NoA and NoJ.
I definitely agree that he seems to be some sort of lower level Nintendo employee, considering he never leaks anything earlier than a week ahead of announcement. If there's one thing I could add for context, I remember hearing years ago back in mid 2017, aka a couple months before Mario Odyssey released, that members of Nintendo Treehouse Live get to see early builds of games, as one Treehouse member made a reference to the "Ruined Dragon" boss months before the game came out. So if he only knows games a week in advance, it's likely he's in a lower position than those in the Treehouse crew, potentially a social media manager as u said.
One thing that seems weird is that Nintendo hasn’t stopped him yet. Your theory seems plausible but if it’s true then it seems like Nintendo might have some methods of tracking down where the leak is. One tactic off the top of my head would be giving a specific social media team a bit of fake information mixed with the legitimate information and seeing if Pyoro takes the bait. I mean whoever Pyoro or Pyoro’s source is, they almost certainly signed an NDA that Nintendo would want to enforce.
Watch it be one of the voice over guys. He has to talk about every single game just about. That, or they have to translate what the Nintendo executives are saying when they speak in Japanese.
The RUclips part is slightly incorrect, mainly: * You can get info from privated videos, namely, because of legacy code, you can still download an ancient flash file, which contains the thumbnail of the video, this is how a lot of the stuff in TF2's Jungle Inferno leaked * Videos you upload as Private, when set to Public or Unlisted, will be considered internally as new uploads * Following the previous thing, any Live/Premier that ends up on the Videos tab will always take the place of when it starts and isn't following the same system, that's why Directs are before Trailers (and if you've noticed, the trailers are made public once that segment ends on the Direct, so you really can't say they aren't uploaded beforehand) And to add my own 2 cents, Poyo always says info from the EN part, so it's most likely someone on that side, either social media, video editor, voice over guy etc.
100% accuracy is actually very easy if you know how to keep your mouth shut. Pyoro's leaks are usually close enough to reveal that he all but guarantees it's legitimacy
Something silly that I think further pushes the idea of him running the Nintendo social media is the fact that they LOVE posting about WarioWare and doing Wario takeovers on their accounts whenever a new Wario game is coming out. Just further pushing that this Pyoro guy really likes WarioWare and pushes his love for it on both platforms he has to do so
I believe he is a official Nintendo Marketer to gauge reactions of the audience. Both as advertising and data collection for the company. Get a read on the audience, and gather last minjte data from excited fans
Always assumed he’s a North American localizer coz most his leaks are just days in advance. That or he truly knows a Nintendo employee and he leaks the bare minimum to not blow the insider’s cover.
Wow thank you for that video, I actually thought the same things on my own and I'm so happy you did a video about it! Liked and subscribed! Have a nice day!
This was a really well thought out video! My only minor thing was the way you pronounced the name Pyoro. It's a two syllable word "Pyo" and "Ro" not "Pie Yo Row". Similar to Nyan like the Japanese Meow for cats. It's Nyan all one word and syllable. not Ne Yan.
An important information, is that effectively Pyoro has leaked even non Nintendo things, that aren't linked to Nintendo in any way, but that effectively could link to the social media theory because effectively he might be doing the job for multiple companies Also I remember there was a post of Pyoro with a screen of Famiboard that said "Pyoro might be one of us" and Pyoro just responded with "Yeah" so there is also that i guess
what if pyoro IS nintendo themselves? and they just put the "im not excited" thing to MAKES US BELIEVE IT ISNT THEM like they just got rid of any suspicion with three words
maybe nintendo doesn't run the account themselves but i think it's highly likely they saw how much hype and chatter he brings that they just let him do it, don't try to track down whoever's doing it or stop him from getting information however he does because it's a net benefit for them
My theory is Pyoro works in a translation agency hired by Nintendo. The Nintendo Directs get translated in multiple languages before they get uploaded. A thing to notice is that Pyoro has been unable to leak info from the Japanese direct exclusives (like Mother 3). I think once the English version of the direct is created, it gets send to a translation agency, at which point Pyoro knows what is coming. Nintendo can test this hypothesis by including a request for translations for content that will actually not be used. If it still gets leaked, they will know Pyoro works in a translation agency.
You are wrong about livestreams. Directs are live debuts, which is not the same as an actual livestream. What this means is that the Directs are already pre-recorded and uploaded ahead of time with a scheduled live release. People who work on YT are known to have access of videos that are awaiting debuts because they are video files that are processed and verified prior to release. It is very likely he is a YT employee, like every major source of leaks before him/her.
I think you should've gone further back on his leaks His first leak for example was 2022's RGG Studio Summit content which belongs to Sega and leaked it 2-3 days before the presentation so because of that I think there's theories that could be debunked and other theories that could be made
Wildest theory: he's the voiceover guy for the directs.
He can’t be! I hate the Voiceover guy
pretty sure that guy now voices Mario. Or one of the past voiceover guys is.
That would genuinely be amazing
That would make so much sense!

One tactic off the top of my head would be giving a specific social media team a bit of fake information mixed with the legitimate information and seeing if Pyoro takes the bait. I mean whoever Pyoro or Pyoro’s source is, they almost certainly signed an NDA that Nintendo would want to enforce.
i think him and that midori guy are employees, and this is part of some crazy new marketting gimmick.
breaking news! smash hit super pyoro has taken the world be storm! and it's selling. Like hotcakes!!
Don't snitch on my goat🗣️🔥🔥💯💯
Watch it be one of the voice over guys. He has to talk about every single game just about. That, or they have to translate what the Nintendo executives are saying when they speak in Japanese.
He could work for a games journalism website based on how Nintendo throws out press releases.
theory:
HE IS MIYAMOTO
The RUclips part is slightly incorrect, mainly:
* You can get info from privated videos, namely, because of legacy code, you can still download an ancient flash file, which contains the thumbnail of the video, this is how a lot of the stuff in TF2's Jungle Inferno leaked
* Videos you upload as Private, when set to Public or Unlisted, will be considered internally as new uploads
* Following the previous thing, any Live/Premier that ends up on the Videos tab will always take the place of when it starts and isn't following the same system, that's why Directs are before Trailers (and if you've noticed, the trailers are made public once that segment ends on the Direct, so you really can't say they aren't uploaded beforehand)
And to add my own 2 cents, Poyo always says info from the EN part, so it's most likely someone on that side, either social media, video editor, voice over guy etc.
Im guessing that he's a worker at nintendo that handles with making or translating the directs.
07:10 Wario was the leaker the WHOLE TIME😂
Always assumed he’s a North American localizer coz most his leaks are just days in advance. That or he truly knows a Nintendo employee and he leaks the bare minimum to not blow the insider’s cover.
The riddle Pokemon leaker is also pretty fun
Wow thank you for that video, I actually thought the same things on my own and I'm so happy you did a video about it! Liked and subscribed! Have a nice day!
Low-key i feel Pyoro is Reggie
Pyoro exposed today
He stated himself he was Miyamoto lol
Imagine if that was true 😅
They got him, I liked him too.
My theory: pyoro does bribe nintendo for info
Maybe he's just another time traveler
This was a really well thought out video! My only minor thing was the way you pronounced the name Pyoro. It's a two syllable word "Pyo" and "Ro" not "Pie Yo Row". Similar to Nyan like the Japanese Meow for cats. It's Nyan all one word and syllable. not Ne Yan.
I love this bird so much he's funny
I think Norm McDonald was on to something…how does Pyoro find out his top secret information ahead of time? You guess it, Frank Stallone.
An important information, is that effectively Pyoro has leaked even non Nintendo things, that aren't linked to Nintendo in any way, but that effectively could link to the social media theory because effectively he might be doing the job for multiple companies
Also I remember there was a post of Pyoro with a screen of Famiboard that said "Pyoro might be one of us" and Pyoro just responded with "Yeah" so there is also that i guess
what if pyoro IS nintendo themselves?
and they just put the "im not excited" thing to MAKES US BELIEVE IT ISNT THEM
like they just got rid of any suspicion with three words
maybe nintendo doesn't run the account themselves but i think it's highly likely they saw how much hype and chatter he brings that they just let him do it, don't try to track down whoever's doing it or stop him from getting information however he does because it's a net benefit for them
Pyoro is Eiji Aonuma confirmed.
If it still gets leaked, they will know Pyoro works in a translation agency.
actually he's my friend brad he's pretty chill
This age like wine
I think he comes from the future.
That Bird is a thug, and he has my respect for not fearing the Ninjas.
but remember. its just a theory. a rumor theory. thanks for watching
He's a localizer working for nintendo
Great video!
Great vid!!
Nice video!
It is very likely he is a YT employee, like every major source of leaks before him/her.
pie oro...
I think you should've gone further back on his leaks
His first leak for example was 2022's RGG Studio Summit content which belongs to Sega and leaked it 2-3 days before the presentation so because of that I think there's theories that could be debunked and other theories that could be made
Used to be a leaker.
Every video needs an editor. ;)
