Just bought this one this week. Prefer this over the new v14 version because is 30% cheaper. Is there any significant difference between this model and the v14 model that really pays the higher price ?

Statistically nothing really changes from model to model. There is a new cosmetic and the availability of the racket moving forward. You did great by taking advantage while its still available :))

Do you see alot of the Pro Staff V13s in local club tournaments ? Some complain that its too low powered for todays fast game

We only see this racket used by high end classic players. Adults and almost never juniors are our sales.

Power should come from the user, not the racquet. This is why it's not recommended to be used for players under 4.5.

@@rizahawke2059 I agree. We say the same thing at the end :) And the RF97 is for even more talented players like Fed!

Will you guys do a comparison to the new model?

    • @SolowSports

We do have reviews of the v13 and v14. They have the same specs and each video explains the tech in them. Do you have a specific comparison q?

@@SolowSports They may be too similar for it to be worth it haha but I guess there's always the question for fans as one dramatically drops in price "is the new version worth the extra?" . Thanks for responding either way though!

@@nicholasdoyle4750 Our pleasure :) It will always be 1. a new cosmetic, which may or may not be worth the new price tag. 2. new tech which may or may not be worth the higher price. We outline the new technology, which is always minimal with the Pro Staff. I think the black color and price is certainly the better choice!!! But thats just my opinion. haha

Hi ! And what about the serve? Have you tried it?
    Tks!

Yes! As it states in the video, it’s spectacular on the serve, slice, and volley.

This racket head size is 97 ?

Correct. Specs are always in beginning of video and in the comments 👍

It is not too low powered though. It is very stiff. I really do not like the feel in my playtest :) But serving was exceptional by the way

With a big swing your certainly get power from the heft of this racket, you are correct. Compared to other juiced up frames however, its much more on the control side. Def for advanced players to see the benefit.

    Also no more countervail

    • @SolowSports
      @SolowSports  2 года назад

Depending on the model of pro staff, countervail wasn’t always incorporated. But I did very much like countervail technology, since Wilson added it to rackets.
