In Tanya's ending, it was revealed that Li Mei was just used as a scapegoat to hide the blunder of the Matron Superior, which led to them to be arrested and Tanya to be the new Matron.
As for who killed Jerrod. It was speculated in a leak that turned out to be false, but I think it still could be possible so I won't mention my guess for his murderer here.

I'm so hyped for the story expansion!!! As for Onaga, as much as I want him, I believe NRS is saving him for probably the next game given he's basically the Thanos of Mortal Kombat!! I wouldn't be surprisd if he is pulling the strings in the shadows and he finally reveals himself in Mk2!!!!

The ending of the story mode left on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the expansion Story mode.
Personal theory: What if in the second story mode, Bi Han works with a sorcerer to change his powers and become noob, while kuai and smoke are training Hanzo to be the next sub-zero. So no one has to die for past events to match up, which means there could be noob and a possible second sub for a future game.
Love the theories! Not quite right with how he becomes Noob but I think people will be pleased with the way it unfolds.

Honestly, I can't wait for the next story mode. I really like the theory that Noob Saibot is the father of the Lin Kuei brothers. I can imagine how cool that would be. I'd like to know a little more about Madame Bo's past, what role Hanzo and Harumi will play and whether we can get her at least as a cameo. Because I'm absolutely sure that Harumi will appear in the story. Well, I would like Jerrod to also play a serious role in the plot, because he is an incredibly interesting and important character. oh, and Sektor with Cyrax in human forms!! maybe that could be possible.
Interesting take on Noob, my own thought is that (because a consistency i noticed in the multiple reboots, where things like cyber lin kuei and noob always happen)
Instead it is kuai liang who may become noob saibot. Another consistency is Sub-Zero killing Scorpion’s family. So the result would be Kuai becomes Noob, and Hanzo reclaims the mantle as scorpion.
Granted, this is something meant more for a sequel than a dlc expansion… but i like to think of that possibility
Shang Tsung was the best thing in story mode. Truly one of the best villains in MK's history. I can't see Havik pulling that off.
I can see it so long as the narrative is done well, it only makes sense that some other villain with Titan would also be up to some shit, Havok kinda fits the bill but he isn’t really evil and neither is all his beliefs of chaos tbh Havok is neutral for the sake of chaos, he believes that chaos is a natural order of life and subverting it is defying nature it’s just another form of free will is what he taught Shujiko
So it’s like Havok goes to a realm and sees it’s orderly that there is no issues or conflicts among people, he would by nature have to disrupt that peace because he believes that puts the people and nature at a stand still, and if he sees a realm that is ultimately comfortable with destruction for the sake of lives lost he would have to balance that and topple their beliefs as a form of introducing chaos to them, this is why he hates Order realm and dreams of demolishing the Saratei because they are so strict in their beliefs, laws and way of life it literally goes against everything he and chaos realm stand for

I really hope that the story expansion could introduce the Black and Red Dragon clans, maybe not as the main focus but would be cool if the clans were teased at same point with Kano and potentially Kabal showing up as well.

That would also explain their character (Kano, Tremor and Mavado) being Kameos. But OIA. Black and Red Dragons I think will play a smaller role and stick to being kameos. But I could be wrong though
Remember earth realm basically lost the lin kuei and even tho the ryu is a powerful clan, it depends where they start at cause the ryu are still finding people, so special forces are definitely bout to come in next game as too help protect earth realm
In Quan Chi's tower ending he says Ermac freed him from Lei Chin prison, so it must be really difficult for Jerrod and Sindel to maintain control.

Considering that the Arcade endings all appear to be set shortly after the Story Mode ending makes me think that Story Mode 2 will either be during those endings or begin shortly afterwards. I kind of like the idea that we have a few chapters that reference those endings but go beyond what we saw. One thought that came to my mind is the end of Scorpions Arcade story where he and his brothers two clans square off. It would be cool to act out that fight but my thought is instead we see the aftermath of that fight and maybe have one or two people lose in a way that makes them want to seek more power. Hanzo is one such person and maybe that is how we get Noob Saibot because he searched for more power and becoming Noob Saibot was the result of the search. If that is in one of the leaks than sorry I forgot about the leaks. To put it simply I think this story mode is either during the Arcade endings or shortly afterwards
Bi-Han starts the cyber Lin Kuei so I think Cyrax and Sektor has the highest possibility of making a comeback.

I am personally hoping to see Hanzo Hassasi scorpion and kuai liang sub zero teaming up again which for me would be really awesome and badass in my opinion.
I hope Nube does come back but he has more of an impact on the story mode in Mortal Kombat 11 all he really did was fight a few people and he lost both times

It will be so cool to see the friendship between Countess Jade and Kitana in the story DLC. It was disappointing that Kitana in MK1's story took such a back seat and did absolutely nothing so I hope that she gets her own chapter in the DLC. Titan Onaga does exist and is mentioned in intro dialogues so I hope he is the true big bad and invades Liu's timeline.
Titan Onaga is mentioned in Liu Kang’s and Geras’s intros. Also, Reiko is currently trying to find Onaga, so, that could happen also. I hope the story expansion goes crazy👌🔥🔥

1)after sindel's death, Kitana's and Milenna's cousins will be back as Sindel who banished them is dead, Maybe Tavin and Daigon
2)As Jax was in kenshi's ending so that means Jax and Sonya maybe will be back
3) as general Sho's betrayale, kotal will replace him
4) For jade as she is a countess and Sindel was asking who she is I have no idea what is going on here

Onaga won’t come back in the main game tbh as the main antagonist he’s too big of a character for one and also he’s always portrayed as a doomsday character

I think the story expansion will have Sareena be a good girl since Ashra purified her heart and Sareena will be fully playable but instead of demon like attack and form she will be a regular looking human almost exactly like her in mkx story mode and will have angelic attacks and will play a big role in the story expansion

My personal hope is that the gamemode they bring back is the "Kreate a fighter" mode from Armageddon.
it also makes sense with the ending of the story mode having a bunch of mix and mashed characters.
In the datamines there are intro dialogues and one of reikos is that he actually tamed onaga. So onaga being a big bad is unlikely more than likely being a sub boss
I think Smoke and Hanzo are going to have a close bound either in Storymode part 2 or the next game.
I think the cyberpunk lin kuei is one of the coolest ideas that could be implemented in the story expansion

It would be great to see Jade in Kombat Pack Part 2. Maybe she’s the one who was the bad apple and killed Jerrod in the story amongst the umgadi? I would love to also see Skarlet and Noob saibot make their appearances as well. Maybe skarlet will work alongside reiko like she did in the comics or work under shao like in Mk11..
Considering how the introes suggest Jade is somebody to trust I doubt she is bad. I would love to see that Skarlet is still Gen. Shao's daughter like before partially because I don't see a reason for why they need to change that part of her original story. So maybe she has almost like a sibling relationship with Reiko who we know is almost like a son to Gen. Shao
Or maybe Jades being a villain is the reveal. But no one knows shes evil

I really hope MK1 story mode pt2 isnt rushed like the 3rd act of MK1 and the entirety of MK11 and aftermath.
Personally one thing i would like to see in the DLC is that they find a cure for tarkat disease but the cure only prevents dying from tarkat and spreading it.

Would love to see MK2 take a step forward from a lot of the OG cast. Smoke, Kuai Liang, Johnny Cage, Lui Kang/Kung Lao, Kitana; all old mentors (and still playable). Then the game is led by young Hanzo, young Shujinko, Takeda (maybe?) and any new charcater ideas NR have. Maybe even a prodical son from Lui Kang and Kitana. I'd love to see that direction after Onaga, or during Onaga's return.
I'm ultra curious about the story mode and how it mixed a shokahn ice character or a Baraka slash whoever. And it was Awsome. I wonder if we will see more of this in play modes. That would be raw!!!!!!

I think it would be interesting for the story mode extention to have a tragic death. As we know that Tarkot is deadly I think that perhaps either Baraka or Mileena bites the dust. For impact reasons and because I think it will shake things up more, what if Mileena is the one who dies?

If you tell people there’s a twist, then there is no twist to be surprised about.
Considering that in this new timeline, we sort of have two Scorpions (Hanzo + Kuai Liang), I think that a focal point in this new story will be that Bi-Han will kill Kuai Liang, which will bring Hanzo into the mantle of Scorpion at some point later, and then Kuai Liang will become Noob Saibot. Maybe Bi-Han could even become Cyber Sub-Zero to really make a role swap between the brothers, and maybe that could happen as a result of his guilt of killing his brother, or his augmentations could deprive him of the morality he had left and make him kill his brother. This is all theory btw but I would really like to see it happen.

I would love for the big reveal to be some injustice characters interacting with the mk characters which would signify mortal kombat vs injustice. Big dreams I know but man that would be awesome. Kind of like mk vs dc part 2.
I honestly wanted mk1 to just be about the outworld civil war and end with Shang Tsung with the crown and he’s powered up or something and the part 2 after math reveals the titan Shang Tsung instead because instead of this being a complete reset so new fans can come in and fully understand what’s going on, it just feels like Mk11 part 2 towards the end of the story

If Kano were to come back I think a cool twist would be if he was special forces along side Sonya and got tragically hurt from conflict and lost his eye, and that incident would lead to bad blood between the two. Something similar to Rorke from COD Ghosts.

I've always said I hope for the dlc they make cyrax and sektor humans but there suit is nano tech. So like in an intro we see there faces and then with nano tech they put there helmets on. Cyber sub and smoke could get a skin a skin to match the theme or idk. That would be sick tho

I think (or more so I hope) with all of the things teased in the character endings that there is just going to be utter chaos in Liu Kang's timeline. Just like a total war with all the heroes and villains and the things set up in there endings.The Lin Kuai while at war with the Shirai Ryu decides to bust out there new cyber ninjas. Ashrah's quest to free her fellow demons and stop Quan Chi from ascending to godhood. Reiko some how getting Onaga to follow him or Reiko dies trying and Onaga escapes his prison. The OWIA having to deal with all of this going on all the while fighting the Black Dragon. With all of this chaos happening and more, Titan Havik will use it to his advantage. Planning to plunge the timeline into a endless war!
They better add tag team back because that’s stop why mk9 is still my favorite me and my friends spent hours on tag team mode it made the matches longer and could make for some intense fights

Kameo Cyrax and Sektor would already suggest that there is a Cyber Initiative before Bi Han started it. i Could also see Hanzo becoming the new Noob Saibot minus the undead part.
I really like the theory that Bi-Han and Kuai Liang's father in this new timeline could be Noob Saibot. A neat callback to back when Noob wasn't explicitly said to be Bi-Han ngl. It's a bit similar to the, now disproven apparently, theory of Hanzo becoming Takeda.
But I thought, since you brought up the way Ermac works in this new timeline... What if Ermac this time around is briefly possessed by the father of the 2 lin kuei ninjas, now this is easily disproven in MANY ways but still could work somehow. just a random crack theory of mine lol.

I honestly hope the story expansion is free. I hate how we had to buy aftermath and experience the full story. But I hope we get some returning characters we all want as well as some completely new ones or ones that haven't been used much. I'm also waiting for Madame Bo to be playable!😂

Also in the IMDB cast for mk1 we have confirmed voice actors for Ghostface, Doomslayer, Sektor, Cyrax, Sareena, Kintaro, Jade, Noob Saibot, Kung Jin and Onagas blade? (whatever that is) however the voice actors for Cyrax, Doomslayer and Kung Jin were removed recently so it’s either a troll or more likely is true and Netherealm is trying to hide it as quick as possible, also take this as a grain of salt none of this is officially confirmed by Netherealm or Ed Boon himself

For story mode part 2, I want to see Titan Havik create the chaos realm in Seido, which would split it into the chaos realm and order realm, in order to stop this possibly li mei and ashrah seek to find warriors to stop this. possibly hotaru nightwolf kabal and (this is my personal hope) Oniro to join the other fighters to defeat and stop Titan Havik from going along in his plan.

My theory on the big reveal for the next game or more; 3v3 tag team of Mortal Kombat. Instead picking one person to fight one or two people when they are literally in the same cutscenes together, why not have them do a 3v3 fight gameplay so we don't have to to see another protagonist or antagonist get their butts handed to them and you gotta be the one cleaning it up as the single individual.
