    I always love your recommendations Kelly. Jewel Bond has become my best friend. Then after your one Live where you used the lots of thin double sided tape, I got me some tape. The Mouse Shape Glue Tape from Waltons is also amazing but the larger rolls keeps longer. I am currently busy with a big craft project and that roll of tape works amazing.

    The issue I find with "guillotine cutters" (more precisely, swing-arm cutters - there really is something that's more like a proper guillotine, but it's used in commercial printing shops when cutting hundreds or thousands of sheets of paper at the time) is that the paper(s) shift as you bring the arm down, and you can't use it to trim very small amonts off the edge as they will fold into the space between the end of the platform and where the cutting arm swings down.
    A lot of paper crafters in my area (United States) use tape runners and/or ATG tape. These deposit the adhesive directly onto the paper surface while retaining the carrier either in a cartridge or a secondary take-up roll.
    When I need glue I'll often go for Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. Where the project allows, I'll use either paper clips or binder clips as clamps to hold the two sides together while they dry.

      @KellyRossouw  11 месяцев назад

      Yes! I totally agree with you, for larger quantities there are specific guillotines that work better as they have a clamp action to allow the paper to not move while cutting.
      We unfortunately dont have those tape runners as readily available in South Africa - you are very lucky! They are seriously expensive here.

    • @webwarren
      @webwarren 11 месяцев назад

      @@KellyRossouw ATG tape runners and tapes are expensive here as well. What I think happens is paper-crafters have more disposable income to spend on supplies (we're talking upper-middle class to lower upper-class, stay-at-home moms who don't have to worry about where their next meals are coming from).

    I have been using UnDu for years. I recently found a 32 oz bottle on Amazon. It was a little pricey, but worth it to me. I will have to remember about the lighter fluid hack. Thank you.

    Excellent tips Kelly, thank you. I discovered how great the weeding tool is for removing the backing of double sided tape also, I use a lot of tape and it’s brilliant. I find however if you need to use a liquid glue on a larger project but don’t want warping or crinkling of your paper then a solvent glue works well, something like Collall all purpose glue is good. It takes a bit longer to dry but it’s very strong and doesn’t warp the paper at all, you need to use in a well ventilated room. I never knew about the lighter fluid trick, how clever is that, and your little dispenser is excellent. Thank you for sharing another great video. ❤😘

    Great tips & I use the double sided tape “tab” method after seeing another YT creator do it, & sometimes I have used tape & glue together. Hadn’t heard of actual red tape, just the figurative “red tape” 🤭, so I’ll check it out. Personally I don’t ever see me using lighter fluid for anything give what it is, but do want to say it’s very kind of you to offer to help others out with your spout - it’s very clever & I suspect it could be very versatile for other pour-out containers - if it’s your own personal design, I hope you can copyright it! Thanks for these tips!!

    Jokes aside I didn't know you did 3D printing as well. I have two 3D printers, but I bought them used and I'm having. a heck of a time with the leveling and the squish I guess. So I have gotten so frustrated with it, with them, to the point where I was about to throw them out the window. So I have focused my attention back to paper crafting and my cricket.. And I'm just wondering how you have time to do all of these different types of projects, especially at 3D printing, because that's a whole ordeal in itself? thank you.

    • @KellyRossouw
      @KellyRossouw  5 месяцев назад

      Yes! My printer has been out of action for a while at the moment, but ive printed many cricut related things - because why not! It definitely was the biggest learning curve machine I have ever had - I had wanted to throw it out the window many times too! You are not alone 😅
      I tend to hyperfixate on certain things for a few weeks and intensly research it and play around with it for literal hours every day for weeks, once ive figured it out I tend to move onto the next thing, wash, rinse and repeat :P
