Those m6 wheels look really good on that e91! I would go dct if I was you. The 8hp is great but there is just something about the aggressiveness of the dct that makes the car more brutal if you know what I mean
Can’t use a DCT as a daily especially with the torque they have, your at low Rpms always and dcts sort of judder/ shake at low rpms because of the flywheel. 8HP all the way.

I actually like the Dicase hp2000 over the ones they supply as standard. The 2000 has much better initial bite. Also have a set of thier 3000 on the way for testing
6hp to 8hp feels like you pick 100hp. Now on a dyno in 1:1 gear it wont make any difference. It feels different when you go through the gears, because you keep the engine closer to its peak power. The rpm drop on a shift is less with a 8hp, thats why it feels so much more powerful. You are making more power over the duration of an acceleration.

Turbo lamik controller, dct isn’t worth it in diesels the torque kills the flywheel and it’s just not smooth at all. It’s basically plug and play you don’t need no adapter for the bell housing or anything since you can get a box from f30 320d.
As piovo mentions, you will need a custom harness and a lamik controller. Not a cheap exercise. But considering what i have at my fingertips, maybe i should try it wiht the n47. I was going to wait until this has the N54 in it. But maybe the lamik and 8hp will make it even better on fuel

Sees leaks
Standard answer: "It's okay"
Lol, but you are right. it's pretty common. I just thought it was funny how much you love cars. I'm the same way
Its addiction. One that i can't go with out.
DCT would be great for a special build
I really think the 8hp is better box. But I like the dct characteristics
Time for a long roof build. Single turbo dct e91 will be epic!
If dickass brakes don't work out, you can swap e82 brembos. That's what I've done on car.
This is my 3rd set of dickass, can't fault them at this point. They are in a different leage to the e82 brembos.
Take the dct from your e92 chuck it into the wagon and convert the e92 to 8hp, wagon for cruising and e92 for dragging
That was the original plan. However i wonder whats the fastest 1/4 for a BMW wagon. Im expecting some quick G81 wagons, but for now, i dont think it would be too hard to have the fastest BMW wagon.
ohhh, thats if i use the 8hp. Trying to launch with a DCT is just too painful and too expensive.
Or just convert both to 8hp lol
Would the extra weight but much of a strain on launching it with a 8hp or would you strip weight out of it ?
@@ZeroTo60Tube I'm in the US and built my N54 E91 a year or so ago. On mild upgraded turbos and MHD. I should get a custom tune and run it to see. There is a guy in the Facebook group that went single on his wagon. Never seen times posted. Another local guy had a LS turbo swap in his E91, silly fast but obviously struggled for traction.
I’m watching this sitting in my 328xi e91 on 19 inch m3 wheels
Well my f80 m3 wheels fit sweet, these M6 are a killer offset.
How's Dave's E39?
Unfortunately not much happening with it, just hasnt had time to even think about it.
Well at least finally you know how to properly pronounce the big brake kit brand now.😊
LOL, how is life over your way Mr Rolley? Havent seen you in any vehicular diy vids lately
@@ZeroTo60Tube been busy building high HP Mercedes engines, Darton sleeves, CP H beam rods and pistons, we did a N20 swap together off camera couple weeks ago.
So dope...
wheels look great ... well if the diesel engine works great just leave it for a while you have the cars to play with
Very true!
Been waiting to see whats going on with this. Ive had an lci e91 335i (n55) for 3 years now, with no one doing content on them… especially in Aus. Look better than an e92 in my opinion 😅
Certain more special than a e92. Would have loved a legit 335 wags, but at least i dont feel guilty about modifying this one!
I've also got a e91 lci but with the n54. I've also converted it to a dct with a single mass flywheel and trans tune. Engine is tuned to mhd stage 2. Will upgrade turbo's next year. I recently purchased a set of 437M wheels for it. Will arrive sometime this week hopefully they fit and I won't need to roll the guards.
@@joshfreshwater6459 M437s will fit with no roll. I have a set here from another car. I actually run 15mm spacers on the M437s. With spacers they are less agressive than these M6 wheels.
@@ZeroTo60Tube that's good to know. I was looking for a set of silver ones in Australia for awhile. Pretty hard to come by now. Hopefully will set the car off abit.
@@ZeroTo60Tube love the content mate. Keep it coming. Never see anything about the e91's
N47's camchain needs keeping an eye on! Great engine otherwise
I’m hoping they have been done.
Did your other cars end up seized as collateral for a pending bankruptcy? Been there lol.
No, that would be a much more easy process.
@@ZeroTo60Tube Ah I see. How are the police about modified cars in Australia? I'm told they're super strict about anything that could implicate "hooning" on a public road,
Wheels look awesome on that black sapphire! Btw, do you think an n52 could be mated to a dct box? It never came from the factory with a dct, but maybe could be done with a turbo lamik controller? Or am i dreaming😄
N52 would need a DCT controller. You could DCT with the Canformance controller, which is a brilliant bit of kit. Or do 8hp with the Lamik controller.
@@ZeroTo60Tube interesting, I’ll look into canformance. Thanks man!
@@ZeroTo60Tube thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, canformance seems like what i need. I can’t believe I also live just a couple hours drive away from the company. You live and you learn
Nice wheels genuine wheels are best not a dam of aftermarket unless im will to pay 10k plus for a set
Yeah I agree. You can get good aftermarket wheels, but they cost so much much its killer.
The rear arches on the FL are narrower then the PFL😁
Well i wouldnt have expected that!
That's false.
@@ZeroTo60Tube it's incorrect.
Merry Xmas First
Merry xmas sir Noble.
I think that 335 hubs increases track width by 10mm on each side.
Thats interesting...... hmmm
No difference between 320 and 335 hubs.
One does not simply change an oil filter on a bmw without spilling oil all over said BMW's engine 🤣😅
Aint that the truth....... why do they do it like this.
@@ZeroTo60Tube something about a lack of ecotec v6 i think 🤔 😅
