I facepalmed HARD when Mark didn't use Qasali Pridemage's ability on the Rhystic Study... that Unlicensed Hearse could've done a lot of work on Bryce's graveyard, and no one paying their taxes (except you, Andrew, you're a good citizen) definitely helped him do so well.
@@Spirited_skiing My assumption is that they got too scared of the Hearse's size, maybe? Still, it's just a beater that doesn't even have trample or any form of evasion to capitalize on that size.
@@DarkEinherjar I think you’re right. Mark had me shook all game- not naming Bryce or attacking into the obvious big rift to force it so that mark and the table could rebuild was also tilting to watch.
As someone who plays the first sliver, i honestly have just come to expect it. I just look at the bright side that at least I'm getting the cascade triggers
GG awesome play!! First sliver should have won the game😅 love the blast act with spiteful sliver combo so satisfying when it resolved. Massive damage for the win🤙🏼
Darn, mana screwed Breya was sad to watch at first but the way they built their board was respectable. Slivers are slivers and are always a headache, and considering access to FoW and Rift(that everyone played into lol) and Study it seemed even larger of a headache.
He definitely should have, since each person chooses their own creature type, not just the type the owner of the spell names. Luckily I guess it didn’t matter since he went infinite the very next turn lol
If I'm not mistaken, Brood sliver cost 4 and a green. Even with Herald's horn, that still should have been all of Bryce's mana and the birds, making him unable to play the ancestral vision. I don't think it's a big deal, but just wanted to point it out.
I got a janky sliver deck (like....pretty bad) but due to the reputation of slivers it's always archenemy number 1. I think I won like once. And it was a close win.
This is the first time I've seen your face, and now I know who to look out for when I finally start going to LGSs in the Ottawa area xD. Been having a lot of anxiety about finding a good place to play magic face to face.
The Brood to Root Sliver and the Ward to Sentinel Sliver made my mind dizzy 🤣 I think on the last Bryce too flexing his muscle too much, Yes the Whip could just get Spiteful Sliver then attack or cast Overlord get Lavabelly Sliver
What a strange Saskia build, very control-ly and grindy; and I love me a good control deck, but Saskia? That's a weird one. Still, pulled out the win. GG.
I know this is me talking to myself, but how exactly did Bryce not win immediately when he got all them slivers? Were all of his haste enablers gone at that point or something?
@@DarkEinherjar bro shorikai should be in the 99, it takes so long to get it going onces you have all the piece and plus try to defend it agaisnt other players from screwing you. Its like prosper, you cant have fun with the deck when everybody is targeting it.

@@MTGMuddstah Hey, better than mine. I'm still trying to get mine to work with the Intruder Alarm + Shorikai + mana dork combos, but it's not going well. 😅 By the way, have you tried Ephara, God of the Polis? She's a pure value machine with Shorikai's ability.
I saw a round of the table with rhystic study not getting paid for once and just skipped to the end of the game knowing slivers won. Pay the one folks.
They honestly should have won this pretty easily. The kiki jiki combo was very telegraphed and at 1 hp as long as there was a single haste sliver it was over. Just a misplay + some bad luck and it's gg
The fact that he could have won if he didn't get excited with the Patriarch's Bidding play, plus he nearly won anyway even without getting any additional cascades from Slivers as the First didn't survive, shows exactly why targeting Bryce was the right call each time. If they didn't, it would have been a steamroll from the Slivers. If you bring Slivers to a table, you need to be prepared for Archenemy. His Rhystic Study sticking around so long was madness.

"He cascades into a Rhystic study"
Such a discussing series of words should never be uttered again.
Wow... Breya is now delegating to her apprentice the role of appearing in the opening. What a lazy boss.
She's busy with her own projects, and he wanted to make an appearance. She's an okay boss

Yeah that’s a good point- in what world is hearse worse than study..? Especially when study is in an Agro deck

Spoiler
I can’t believe he still won tho lol
Wow everyone out to get that damn First Sliver
All that Sliver hate!! XD I love my First sliver deck!
This was the game that made me start keeping 3 landers minimum unless I have ramp cards in hand. No hoping for a third land with 3 drops in hand.
honestly, I dont keep hands without ramp in them to begin with. But I add at least 15 ramp cards to every deck.
I'm honestly baffled that Mark decided to kill your Hearse instead of the Rhystic Study, but otherwise great game
I feel bad for the First Sliver being removed multiple times in a single match that it almost reached Emrakul levels of Mana costs
It cascades out of control very fast, so it has to be removed ASAP, at all times.
Its one of the most powerful commanders in the format. He really needs to go as fast as posible
Ha! I've had a Rhys the Redeemed commander game once where my Rhys cost me 15 mana at the end due to command tax. Still won that game, by the way.
As someone who plays the first sliver, i honestly have just come to expect it. I just look at the bright side that at least I'm getting the cascade triggers
And he still pretty much won. He made a misplay but imo Sliver guy really won.

Thank you so much, I needed this today ❤️
Why didn't mark getting anything back from the patriarch's bidding when it was casted?

it wasnt a Brood Sliver, it was a Root Sliver. Just a small mistake in editing

Lots of really friendly shops in the Ottawa / Gatineau area. I'm a fan of Wizard's Tower, Gamebreakers, Multizone, and Red Dragon!
What a SHOCKING game. Great ending too!
How have you been feeling about Shorikai? I’ve been debating building the deck.
What a brilliant game, thanks Andrew 🤗
Rhystic study, force of will, and cyclonic rift all from the same 5 color deck. Remind me to avoid ever playing magic with Bryce
Have you managed to get Evelyn on camera yet? I'm building her and looking forward to seeing other brews of her in action.
Not as of yet
The Brood to Root Sliver and the Ward to Sentinel Sliver made my mind dizzy 🤣 I think on the last Bryce too flexing his muscle too much, Yes the Whip could just get Spiteful Sliver then attack or cast Overlord get Lavabelly Sliver
13:52 Bryce tapped 3 mana for a 5 mana card heralds horn made it cost 1 less so he wouldn't have 1 mana to suspend the ancestral visions. Bad Bryce.
Then he messes up the cascade as mentioned in the video.
As someone else mentioned, it wasn't a Brood Sliver, it was actually a Root Sliver.
Hope to see a ton of boats and other Janky artifacts ( :
Of course shorikai didn’t get to go nuts it’s going up against 3 powerful ass commanders homie. Each of them do crazy things with just the commander
Wow. What a win.
My Buckle up Deck is still unopened on my shelf...Maybe Ill open it today!
Hey Muddstah, do you have any more videos with Trevor in them? Gatta get my big boi arm fix...
Working on it!
How did he cast ward sliver from the first, aren't both of they 5 mana?
Makes me sad that slivers threw the game by missing the whip of erebos. Otherwise awesome play. The blas act with spiteful sliver was glorious.

Breya's desk list is missing. The link doesn't work

How does Couz scry at 13:07? Did he forget to remove his upkeep reminder after Rift bounced Thassa?
Forgot to move my die off my deck, woops.

Can I get the sliver deck list pls?

This is correct, not to mention being in front of the camera. I'm better at being a faceless voice.
Don’t listen to this guy Andrew! You’re doing wonderful!
Saltiest loss I've seen in awhile cant get too excited folks
Ummm am I missing something… how did Bryce pay only 3 for a 5 casting sliver? Horn reduced it by 1 but……
How is couz scrying on turn 12 with no thassa in play?
