Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
even if you dont really need the weedless, i find the belly hook versions of these simply work better. there is no problem with the trailers being too big. i use the owner flashy swimmer and it works great.
I’m still kind of confused on choosing an under spin vs a spinner bait or a bladed jig since those all provide flash and vibration from a trailer and function similarly
An underspin jig is a more subtle bait. Bladed jigs and spinnerbaits are very bulky and noisy. Sometimes a more subtle approach is better, and it can better match small forage too. Spinnerbaits and bladed jigs are better for matching large forage like bluegills, large shad, and crayfish.
I make my own custom underspins which i like to dress in marabou or bucktail but i also run a range whereby i can use plastic trailers...I will often swim and swap both presentations favouring the one that gets the most attention from the target species on the day...
@@brianbochow That's a good idea. Small blades will still provide some flash and a little thump with less chance of hitting the trailer (even less issue with marabou).
Top notch video once again, great job and thank you for the information! Tight lines! 💪
Thanks - I appreciate the comment.

Cool!

Love your shows👍 you have earned PHD among fishing experts, class A video show☝️thanks🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!
Weighted swimbait hook with under spinner and fluke is more lethal than a stick of dynamite!
Sounds like a killer setup
Catfish love them two
Catfish will take a surprising number of different baits and lures. I've caught them on crankbaits and inline spinners too!
I pretty much heard make sure the spinner spins for 3 things
It is definitely important that the spinner spins. If it gets stuck on the trailer or debris in the water, it will not be as effective.
