There's a bit more to Ella Purnell's comment... "I actually just went back into the studio to complete some ADR [automated dialog replacement] for the season 2 finale - and I cried. So, I think other people will cry, too. *It's devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it.* " That last sentence!! 😰😰
@@maofone The comment I quoted was from a TechRadar interview and it was an article, not a video. The only video I've seen with her saying she cried while recording the ending was a different interview and she didn't say that last part. If that was the same video you watched also, then you didn't miss anything. 😉
I think they will do the same thing they did in S1 and pull the rug from under the viewers right when we think everything is going to end well - this literally happened at the end of all three acts in season 1. It`s going to be something like Cait shooting Jinx in the head right after she finally made peace with her past and with Vi, or something similar.
I agree. People forgot that in Arcane 1: Act 1 ended with Vi and Powder parting ways after losing their father figure and their 2 friends Act 2 ended with Vi and Jinx parted way after just reunited, and Viktor was dying. Act 3 ended with Silco’s death, Powder’s death for Jinx’s birth, and… 🚀 💥
Ambessa will likely be driven out, Vi and Jinx will at least come to an understanding but still be on opposite sides, the arcane will probably cause serious damage to both Piltover and Zaun and Viktor and Jayce will become enemies. Those are my predictions.
I think will end in the same way arcane begin, with an enforcer killing parents and will left little girls Orphan. But the enforcer is Caitlyn. And Vi is the one wo left her golves and take the kids with her to zaun.
Let's say Zaun and Piltover join forces, we get a couple moments of happiness, so Jinx and Ekko bury the hatchet goes back to the whole forgiveness theme, but then even though I am a Timebomb fan, I have to be realistic, not even a day or two after Jinx and Ekko get they're friendship "wink" back, tragedy once again strikes whether Jinx is injured badly or Ekko, but leaving that out, Others who I think will be on the chopping block Sevika by either protecting Jinx or the girl from the trailer. The Girl in the trailer dies, and if Jinx has a strong connection to her, a loss like that will have a huge toll on her psyche. Warwick sometime after Vi or Jinx learn who he is, making his death emotional. Heimerdinger also could go. Regardless I could see a Grey Ending. Zaun and Piltover end up winning,,but it would be a pyrrhic victory, have the show end, how it begins. Just with the slight difference that Zaun will no longer be under Piltover's boot, but all that is left to enjoy Zaun's new found freedom are the Orphans. Instead of killing Jinx she ends up having nothing but memories of Ekko and new promises made, having Piltover agree she can remain free and not go to StillWater but she will be Exiled, hence we see the final shot of the Show of her in her Hideout turned Airship leaving to parts unknown, Or Zaun becomes free but Jinx goes to Stillwater. I think it will be leaving on an airship though. Have the show hint that the next location for the next show where it makes sense for the audience , We now know about Mel's homeland, have the next show end up there. Leaving Vi in Piltover and Jinx to who knows where so they can bring her back in the far future, with a cool post credit scene of a monkey bomb.
If they do unite against Noxus, it will be in an "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of mentality. After many people have died and some more will die in the process.
"Zaun winning indepence for itself and Piltover earning it's forgiveness" "...and both cities kinda get what they want" I'm sorry, what? Piltover at large doesn't want forgiveness. From their perspective, the Undercity doesn't suffer anything it doesn't deserve. The war will feel like catastrophe sparked by an unprovoked act of agression from the other side. Sure, that's not the truth, and in a world that made sense, Piltover would be thrilled to let bygones be bygones after all they did, but Arcane isn't that fantastical. Like a slavemaster wanting compensation for lost property when their state abolishes slavery, Piltover will desire much to justify granting Zaun freedom. Getting "forgiveness" will mean they just lost. It'll mean they have keep a pretense of a willing change in relationship with the Undercity, when in truth they just couldn't take the destruction of war. It will be a complete humiliation to just let Zaun go with no strings. And of course some of that feeling will be in Zaun, too. That all they get after the suffering caused by Topside is "being left alone", and that they had to fight TWO wars for it, is not really a recognition of their rights and dignity as people. And I'm not fully convinced that the climax will be against Noxus, but it would be especially embittering if a full on Noxian invasion were to steal from the Undercity a clear and unambiguous victory against Topside, and after the united cities beat back the invaders, Piltover manages to save face by framing their new relationship is an act of belevolence, as though Zaun ought to be grateful. Sure this ending would maybe leave the cities in a better place than they started, but... does that make it a happy one?
Thats the "kinda" part. I didnt want to derail from the video but I can go in depth here. Independence barely does anything for Piltover. Basically Silco's demands were to have free access to the hexcore, pardoning everyone's crimes. It sounds big on paper but thats just how normal countries are treated. On that front Zaun would just be another country but still possibly harvesting tis natural resources to trade with piltover, its nearest neighbor. All piltover would lose is jurisdiction over the undercity which they already lost since silco took power. If zaun become independent then that doesn't really change anything for piltover. For Piltover getting forgiveness I just repeated what some commentators say about this line of logic. I thought it to be way too dumb but I wanted to address it anyways. Piltover doesn't earn its forgiveness from giving independence but at least letting Zaun go would be enough. Thats why I believe for Zaun to ally with Noxus to attack piltover as both their goals align and it still leaves room for a faceoff between the two halves of the city and possibility for cruel actions and actual moments of forgiveness that are well built up.
I suspect the show will end with the independence of Zaun, the redemption of Jinx, and a romantic relationship between Vi and Cait. I also think it will end with Piltover and Zaun retaining a strong hatred of each other, Vi and Jinx being split up permanently, and Vi, tragically, as an enforcer. So bittersweet would be a better word for my predictions… If everyone teams up against Noxus, which certainly seems like it will happen, it will be like the Jayce/Vi team up in episode eight. Was it a blast seeing them fight together? Yes. Were they setting aside their differences to fight the good fight against a common enemy? Yes. Did it end with them friends, or even relatively successful? No. That’s what I’m thinking.
Hell, the Noxus team up could occur way earlier than we’d suspect, and serve more as the “seizing of the sword” before the “dark night of the soul” on a heroes journey arc. It could be the too good to be true team up before the final bloody fight between fractures of a relatively successful alliance.
@@luciferien5604 I think ending on her being fully evil is unsatisfying. I think she needs to be more of a wild card and less of a villain by the time the show closes. Caitlyn forgiving Jinx would be a very satisfying conclusion to Cait’s antagonistic arc.
I always think this ones gonna have an ending that would connect them to the next settings like one more champion appearing from another region..like it may be leblanc taking asking singed to join noxus so we could go to noxus next .. or shurima if its attached with the arcane stuff
I think there is a miss understanding, I am pretty sure Piltover and Zaun ally to defeat Noxus but that will not make them friendly. It will not undo the generations of pain Pitover has inflicting on Zaun via oppression. On the Zaun side alone, Jinx, Sevika and all those who supported Silco's organization willing or coerced has done Zaun tremendous damage, and are going to have to square that with their neighbors. As for Piltover they are going to have to square their image of their city is a far cry from what their city actually does. Historically colonizing nations will habitually self justify, obfuscate, or flat out lay about and or deny their crimes. This will be less return of the Jedi and more, "We agree not to kill each other today. And we will take it one day at a time for now."
League champions never get happy endings yasuo murders his brother azirs entire family was killed nasus watched his brother get locked up and go insane I can go all day about league champions
Shows that have a season themed around war must always have a sad ending because if you go the Disney route and make everything normal again then nothing has changed I cannot name any war film that had a sad ending because I have nit seen any but there need to be lots of sacrifices and damage physical and emotionally and to hook the audience telling them the is no happy ending in war
Most war films I’ve seen have a relatively happy ending with traumatized characters. I don’t know… I like the dark knight. It’s a theoretically victorious ending, with the Joker being apprehended, Two Face dead, and the ships having been saved. Yet, Harvey Dent still fell, the Joker won in that respect. Rachel is still dead. And Batman had to take the blame for Dent’s killings.
It’s because the show misleading us, I’m telling u now we maybe love jinx and vi or Cait or ekko but I’m pretty sure they just a topping a desert for this show yeah including jinx but the main people who will give us major of the story about what arcane really is, is victor and Jayce believe me, they making us think jinx and vi story are the most important in this show nononono u will see how victor impacts this season
Jinx and vinis the secondary conflict of the series. The leaks went up to episode 5 and jinx had no interactions with vi in most of act 2. Other than that yes magic is the tertiary plot and it is going to be hugely imprortant
