    Bringing back memories Lamont as a Nurse working at the Prison (Greensville) at the time as he awaited execution I was assigned to work a shift in the death house with him the day before the execution, he required 24 hr observation, it was believed he really wasn’t paralyzed but feigned it believing it would spare him from the electric chair (he was allegedly beaten by other inmates in a prison fight) as we know it didn’t stop the execution, may the victims Rest In Peace.

      @@sativarosegold3604 I agree with you, malingering is an issue but so are legitimate complaints, to play it safe all should be taken seriously, unfortunately they’re not, Stamper could walk with crutches, he did everything for himself, all we needed to do was administer meds @ensure he didn’t attempt suicide; however many paraplegics are independent depending on the severity of their injury.

      @@sativarosegold3604 What about the lack of humanity they showed their victims? They're just misunderstood, had a hard life, or some other excuse, right? You probably have a family member in the joint. Maybe you'd think differently if you or someone you loved were the victim(s). You've detached yourself from reality.

      He couldn't take his paralysis! Was he smarter than the medical professionals who examined him?

    • @carolhutchinson7763
      @carolhutchinson7763 2 года назад +23

      I had a classmate who had a spinal cord injury from a boating accident in her early teens. She could walk with crutches and a brace on one leg. All paraplegics aren't wheelchair bound; it can be a low-level injury to the spine or not completely severed. However, it's often easier to use a wheelchair. Nobody wants to walk over an entire store or college campus on crutches.

    • @carolhutchinson7763
      @carolhutchinson7763 2 года назад +12

      @@hairyape3935: I assume you meant he couldn't fake his paralysis. Of course you can't fake something like that. How stupid of anyone who would think that. I studied to be a nurse and took care of disabled people and also processed medical bills. A spinal injury can be plainly seen on X-rays and you can see atrophy of the legs, how much depending on how much function there is left. It sounds like his injury was low on his spine or the cord was incompletely severed.

      @@LamontAtLarge I'm surprised Virginia had 911 Emergency Service in 1978 that was ahead of us in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania.
      We still had to dial on rotary telephones the number of police, fire and ambulance services as even pulse rotary phone lines were not yet upgraded to touch tone lines in all communities.

    Hey Lamont you made it to my hometown, yayyyyyyy. I never heard of either of these men you mentioned. I wasn't born until 1991 in Henrico County. Very interesting but sad and messed up case for sure. I'm glad justice was served at the end. I've heard about this story just recently actually and they just recently closed that Shoney's and others as well. I had been to that Shoney's shortly before they closed it. I hadn't heard of this triple murder at that time so now every time I pass by it I think about those poor workers who were murdered in cold blood. I hope they are R.I.P. and I am so so sorry for their families losses. I'm looking forward to them tearing that Shoney's down eventually because I don't think anyone else is going to buy that building as its been vacant for quite some time now.

      He got what he deserved. Nobody has the right to kill over not getting a raise! Lamont I love all your stories especially the longer ones with more details. You do your homework on these Graves and the people in them. And yes, payable on death is a good saying for this jerk.

    Lamont, I like the way sometimes you do short videos and sometimes you do some longer ones. I think it’s appropriate and works out really well because it really does depend on the story. You are an excellent story teller. So I don’t think you should change anything about what you do. Just keep on keeping on!
