Why? Research a company called Realpage, that sells a product called Yieldstar.
Yieldstar allows landlords to collude to "fix" prices - the exact opposite of a free market. Can you imagine Ford and GM, Mercedes and every other car manufacturer discussing what the price of every car should be? That is what REALPAGE YIELDSTAR is and it is used by almost all landlords in many cities. It is not a free market. Therefore, it is the subject of lawsuits from Attorney generals in various jurisdictions.

Subsidized housing is more economical than criminalizing, prosecuting and locking up homeless individuals. Housing needs to be made available. Some people fall on hard times or have difficulty navigating life. Many times, if an individual is provided opportunity, they will thrive. As a modern society, it is our responsibility to help our neighbors. If you are Christian, I think it says somewhere in the bible to love thy neighbor.

@@rjl5759A person next door to me is that way. She can't work because she steals everything that's not bolted down. I have a close family member that is homeless. NO ONE can live with her. She had government subsidized housing for a while. She tore that place up. My daughter tried to help her. She did drugs in the (finished) building in the back yard. She hit herself, screamed at people who weren't there, stuffed things in the shower drain because she thought someone was spying on her through the drain, etc. The state of TX health dept(or whatever it's called) convinced her that she would NEVER get better. So they gave her various pills. Do the pills help? They help these state employees to continue to have a job. I tried to tell her that. It's just easier to believe that the pills are the answer and blame your family for your problems. There are many homeless people like that.

Each homeless shelter in the U.S.A. receives approximately a typical household income in tax breaks, subsidies, various donations including funds, and both internal and external volunteer opportunities (free manual labor), as well as commercial credit loans for renovations and such PER HOMELESS CLIENT ANNUALLY while homeless shelters are at a national avg. "Help Rate" or "Performance Rate" for providing housing assistance of 9% according to recent U.S. Census Bureau data and other reports about the topic with the present state of technology available in 2024 C.E.. I think apprx. 3,250 of apprx. 3,300 U.S. homeless shelters are scams! Thank you for your valuable time and bodily physical energy investment(s) to continue learning more!

A few weeks ago I wrote an essay, and in that essay I ask "What is a crime?" I came across 2 definitions in the Webster dictionary. One of the definitions of crime is "A moral offense against society". My argument was that creating laws which targets already opressed persons is a moral offense against society. A crime. In this essay I also compared how out of the $849.8B military budget, if we gave each and every individual 653,104* homeless person a $50,000 check, it would only equal 1/26 of the federal military budget. This is a moral offense against society. This is a crime; Letting citizens in your society go unhoused while having limitless funding for war and building weapons of destruction is immoral.

Prisons for profit. What it costs per year to keep one person incarcerated is at or above 70,000 per inmate per year. Much more than it would cost to provide low income housing, food and care for a homeless person on the outside. When the minimum wage has remained exactly the same for 16 years, but the economy, cost of living hasn't. As CEO's and high flying investors make a mint in billion dollar corp profits that's increased some 1000%. The working poor shouldn't even be a thing, nor prisons for profit or health care for profit either. People become a commodity against their will and against their wishes as the greedy get rich on the suffering of others.
Jesus and His apostles would have been arrested and put in jail as criminals under this ruling. They were homeless with nothing but the shoes on their feet, cloths on their backs often went hungry and lived wherever they were at. Inside and outside according to the scriptures. Sleeping in a cemetery before Christ's arrest and crucifixtion. What next? What next population or situation will be criminalized under these evil administrations? "Do not despise the poor, for the poor shall always be with you" Where's the church? Where's the so called churches who were assigned to take care of the poor and the needy, the sick and afflicted, the hungry and thirsty, the naked and imprisoned? Enjoying their tax exempt status, flying private planes to their million dollar mansions? If God were here He'd tell it to their face, Man you're some kinda sinner!

This is the problem with US officials. They don't know what to do, let alone how to solve a problem, let alone trying to solve the issue of homelessness. You can't just criminalise homelessness, it doesn't work like that, it won't solve the problem. Same with the Tranq problem in Phili. You can't just legalise all drugs in that area, to try to stop drug use. Sometime you have to think outside the box. For the homeless issue, what they can do is, try to get these people into temporary housing, so they're not living on the streets, which is extremely dangerous for anyone sleeping rough. Not only that, they could also, give these people something to do, something, anything, give them some skills so they can stand on their own two feet & are able to support themselves, slowly but gradually you will see a decrease in homelessness, but however it still won't fix the problem, as I said before, it's only temporary for now.
As for the Phili problem, Tranq or Zombie drug, again, they need to clean this area, get these people the support, help they actually need, to get OFF those horrible flesh eating drugs. I've seen the countless videos on Tranq in America, it's a horrific sight. Those people need to go to a serious detox, rehab centre, to do cold turkey 🦃, to get them off those nasty drugs. From there, it's the same process as before, get them into temporary housing, give them skills, give them another chance at life, get jobs, but they have to be monitored regularly so they don't relapse into drugs again, or alcohol etc. There's a whole boat load of potential workers right there for domestic use, why the US government doesn't see this? So short sighted, US government can only see things short sight, but NOT long sight. These are things the US government can do to rectify those two issues in America today, but they don't do it. Why? Does the US government actually want to destroy America? Because they're doing a pretty damn good job of it.
It is inhumane to treat people like that. These people need help, by doing this, you're NOT helping them, you're making it that much worse, and people keep saying that China is a dictatorship, its becoming more & more evident that it's the USA government who is the dictatorship.

What most Americans don't understand is that the US Constitution in NO Way mandates that the Fed Govt is responsible for the Welfare of The People. So, along with the other rights that Americans enjoy, they also have the right to be Homeless, the right to starve to death, and the right to die of a curable disease, all with no Govt interference.
This isn't a joke & FDR's proposed Economic Bill Of Rights was supposed to correct that. But, coincidentally or not, FDR died shortly after he made his proposal. Things like Soc Sec, food stamps, & Medicare were all enacted by Law, not by a Constitutional Amendment, which is why Presidents since Reagan have been able to whittle away at them.
What America needs is a new Constitution, one that benefits ALL Americans and not just the chosen few. Until that happens, any proposal to abate poverty in America is simply Bull $hit that won't get any traction because the Rich & Powerful will always have the upper hand with the current Constitution.
"Workers of the World, UNITE !!!" - Karl Marx, "The Communist Manifesto" (1848).

Historically, people tithed to churches and the members of the church took in poor people for which the church reimbursed them a little bit. The reverends of those churches kept most of the money and lived lavishly.
When the USA ceased being colonies, the state took on the task of helping the poor.
Today, we have overcrowded shelters, which have people on cots in large rooms. They're not private nor safe. Homeless people tend to avoid them. They are commonly victims of theft and sx assault. Some are simply down on their luck. Some are mentally incapable of taking care of themselves and cannot work.

Especially if those counties are willing to allow the building of new facilities in there counties with fewer restrictions and fewer permits required. All of this is about money and politics without much care for those unhoused individuals. The values of some politicians, public officers and greedy corporations have become pretty screwed up.
