great video! Gladius is always going to be the favorite ship for pvp. Arrow is more fun... Gladius is more wins. Thank you for the detailed video. As of 3.18 most arrow pilots switched to gladius because there seems to be a bias...
@@Space-Tech as far as pvp community goes, seems that almost everyone is moving to the gladius based off the 10 sec shield regen compared to 5 sec in the past. Even though the blade and gladius have the same amount of shields the hull hp makes a massive difference. They have similar maneuverability but it is clear that Gladius is going to be in favor until Squadron 42 comes out. Can't outbeat a great ship
imo Gladius is more forgiving mistakes, due to the durability. Thats why i recommend anybody who is new to pvp, to do his first steps in a gladius and then switch over to an arrow if they know how to fly evasive. Great comparisin, nice vid
Gladius is cool, but something about the arrow for me is the one. Slightly less tanky, but you can out maneuver anyone. Gotta learn how to transfer power on your power triangle constantly tho. Nice vid bro.
Your shield comparison text lists size 2 shields for the gladius. Little oopsie there. You say the correct size 1, though. I really like the cross-sectional comparison. You could definitely do a video comparing all the fighters like that.
@@Space-Tech I think medium and heavy fighters would be helpful there too. I think there is a lot of confusion about their sizes. Like the vanguard is heavy fighter, but it isn't THAT much bigger than the lights
@@Space-Tech oh I definitely am. I can use it like a gladius in bounties, sleep in it, customize it. For 20 bucks less than the gladius, it's an absolute steal. I thought you were much bigger of a channel due to the quality of your video, seeing that you're still small and growing I'll give a sub. Keep up the great work
Not much of a light fighter pilot. My preferences are for the midsize ship category. My guilty pleasure being the Corsair. That said, I do dream of something a lot bigger with the Polaris. Oh, how I can't wait to get my hands on that big gorgeous gal.
Sure! What would you want to see the Hawk put up against? It's role and capabilities means that it is generally outclassed by these two fighters, but definitely an interesting ship to investigate!
I prefer ships with a interior. For fighting NPC a Tana is good enough. Otherwise i prefer a Warlock. If i go for ships without interior i would take the Bucc. Not a big fan of the gladius or arrow.
Totally fair! I personally love the immersion of stepping into the interior of a ship, but I love how the Arrow flies as well. I take it you're a firepower over durability kind of guy?
Really enjoyed watching this! Great video, keep up the good work!
Your words mean a lot, thank you!

Thank you very much for the kind words! I love my gladius and I'm even seeing some Blade pilots in 3.18 now. Are you seeing the same?

The polish on the gladius is also next level thanks to SQ42 :)
@@Space-Tech super super ageed! I’m down to hang out and duel in either ship if youd like! Just for fun
Sounds like a plan for me! I'm racing in the System 7 these days (hence the slower uploads) but after that I'd definitely be down!

Thank you! Also, 100% agreed, I started in a gladius myself and definitely needed the extra shield!
Love both of these ships. I think I get in the Gladius more as it's the closest to a Viper MkII there is in the game.
Rminds me of an Eagle.
They are both fantastic looking ships for fans of this "realistic" style of ship!
Did not know the Gladius had any storage! Cool!
Yeah! Also, since it is External Storage you can store things there that other players can access!
Worth checking the SPAT and looking at the in atmosphere flight speeds where the Arrow is found to be much faster. A good stat to have.

Nice vid bro.
I love how the Arrow flies, and as you said it benefits a ton from good power management. Thank you for the comment!
Yo great video! What paint or variant is that gladius?
Appreciate it! It's the foundation festival paint :D

Ahhh whoops. Do you think just comparing light fighters against each other is valuable, or should the medium and heavies be on the same panel?

Hey, i press U to start up the gladius but don't get that animation. What am i doing wrong?
So you want to completely shut down with U, and then start up using R. That's how I always get the animation :) let me know if that helps!
@@Space-Tech I exchanged and got a origin 325 instead but thanks for the answer xD
Oh the 300 series is really a class apart when it comes to luxury, hope you enjoy it!

You're too kind, thank you!
I think turn speed is a big factor left out in this assessment. That being said it's still very accurate
Yeah the Arrow really is much more maneuverable. I'm trying to unpack the gamefiles for my next breakdown so I can be more specific with those values!

@@Space-Tech Oh, I thought it was fairly on par with them. That's what I wanted to see it compared against haha.
Compare the cutty black vs the freelancer 🤔
That's the next matchup on the list, followed by a comparison of all the Cuttys :)

I find the Buccaneer is a better dogfighter than both of these.
An experienced PvP dog fighter will take out a buccys wing in one pass
The buccy is just so cool, but yeah the Meta disagrees for sure haha
Buccy isn't a dog fight, it's an interceptor 😅
Almost as every drake ship, a glass cannon op weapons and worse shields
