I have always wondered how stone in stone settings are done! I love that you use essential oils at the end. What a lovely idea! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Keep those videos coming. I love to watch your processes! ❤
I found you on IG and then followed your links to your RUclips channel and website. Your artistry is so inspiring, and I love how you have experimented and found your own way of doing things. I have learned everything I know about silversmithing from books and RUclips. One of my strength is that I am not afraid to try new things and not afraid to fail. Silversmithing is so forgiving that way. Look forward to more unique tutorials from you. Also I preordered your book from Amazon. Thank you!
Thank you so much Nicole. I am really enjoying your tutorials. I learn something each time. The ring is awesome. I look forward to the day I can do an in person class with you. 🧡
I’m so happy to have come across you… I learn best by understanding the whole process and I just love how you tie everything together. It’s not just step 1, step 2, step 3… this may not make sense lol but anyhow you’re a great teacher and artist. I would love to take a class from you. I’ll have to look into it, ha.
Sorry, I always seem to write a novel when I leave text messages… What a beautiful piece and like I always say, this is definitely Nicole Ringgold design… Nicole, I am a self taught Silversmith. And I learned a lot from watching RUclips channels. When I wanted to start mastering my skill, I started taking classes from some highly respected excellent metalsmith instructors. Right now, having the opportunity to learn from you, I have picked up on some techniques that I’ve never known or have ever been shown. This also includes the instructors who I took classes from. I am not trying to put down any other metalsmith instructor. Because yes, I learned a lot from them as well. But there were at least three techniques that you used when it came to using your sawblade, your flame control, and oh, I’ve never thought about using a drill press or a rotary tool to shape other stones besides the Seaglass that I use.. I have so much respect for you as a metalsmith instructor. People who are not familiar with you, and now that you are teaching on RUclips, your channel will blow up!!!!! You’re going to hear so many people talk about techniques that you use. Something they’ve never used before. I never thought I would like a pebble type ring, I am so in love with this ring that you just designed and showed how it became created. I’m trying to use artistic words. lol 🤭 even the tone in your voice is calm and relaxing, it is easy to follow your instructions. I know that I want to come to Washington and take one of your weeklong classes. It would definitely be money spent. I have a couple of questions one can I use some of my raw gemstones that I have let’s say rose quartz I probably have about 25 pieces that are the radius size a little over a quarter, can I use my drill press, and of course the bowl of water and shape the rose quartz using the diamond core bits??? I know quartz is a very hard stone but pebble rocks. I think would be hard too. I’m asking because I don’t want to burn out my drill press or my Foredom rotary tool??? 2. Are we allowed to make these types of rings that you just made ourselves? Without getting in trouble for copyright violations???? Thank you, thank you, thank you, For making such a beautiful piece of jewelry and sharing what goes on in Nicole Ringgold’s mind… SuperBig Hugs 🤗, Michelle
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. To answer your questions: 1. I'm not sure about rose quartz. You can certainly flatten the bottom, but I'm not sure about hollowing it out. I'm not super well versed with stones. I'm sorry. 2. Yes, you can use the designs I show. I would just appreciate a shout-out when you use them. Thank you again!
@@ringgoldnic most definitely you will always get a shout out from me!!! as you know, I am one of your biggest fans… I’ve already started telling people that you are on RUclips… so as soon as I make my ring, you’re going to hear about it. Big hugs 🤗 , Michelle
Love the way you explain step by step the process. I like the stones on the ring, and the message is unique and beautiful. Thank you so much Nicole, you are amazing as well as your artwork ❤️ 😊.

What are the silver tweezers you are using to place the solder? They look like nice quality...

What brand and where do you get your third hand from please?
Mine is a GRS: www.riogrande.com/product/grs-short-third-hand-with-heavy-weighted-base/502016GP/?code=502016
I’m allergic to all essential
Oils so I would find jewellery with it on a problem.
That’s a great point. It is important to ask customers about their allergies before applying the essential oils.
Wonderful. Thank you!
