The Spotlight: Students repeatedly being robbed in North Seattle

- The number of reported robberies in Seattle is tracking lower so far in 2023 with 1,194 reported so far. That compares to 1,758 robberies in all of 2022. That's little comfort though to the families of students being robbed repeatedly in North Seattle. The Spotlight reports some parents are taking matters into their own hands. Meanwhile, Seattle Police work to see if the same suspects are also committing takeover style armed robberies at convenience stores and in other parts of the city.

Two years ago our neighbor walked his dog alone,along his 2 1/2 acre wooded fence line wearing a mask.My hubby and I were/still are laughing….he probably wears it in the shower…😂

The suspect a white male adult, 25 to 30 yrs old with heavy build, glasses, acne (descriptors) wearing a gray hoodie pulled up in a white truck (description) in the Bluegrass neighborhood of West Seattle while the woman was walker her dog on X street at 2:00pm. He displayed what the victim described as a black automatic handgun.
Now we get he presented as male wearing a white shirt and black jeans. Left in a white truck.
Who is doing this? Who? Repeat offenders. We wonder, who is doing this? Why can't we know?

I got a parking ticket and a ticket for no front license plate about 8 years ago downtown Seattle. It happens but I think the police or so shorthanded now that a lot of that stuff got back burnered.
If a cop refuses to stop for police the police cannot legally chase them any longer thanks to Jesse Johnson anti pursuit police reform law. This includes if police see a stolen car ram into a business, loot it and take off police cannot chase the vehicle if they refuse to stop.
Pain and suffering has always been a tried and true method of discouraging this kind of thing

My grandson attended a car show and suffered a broken cheek bone when a group of 4 people (not caucasians) attacked him while he was standing near his car, then they ran away. A cctv caught the attack but their face are blurred so there was no case to file.

These robberies are giving "convenience stores" a whole new meaning. They are convenient to rob even by gangs of teenagers. Soon owners will have to limit their hours of operation until the Mayor and police chief fill the more than 300 position vacancies in the police department.
