The liberal media is also part of the problem and share the blame. For example, they failed to call attention to drug abuse and distribution as the cause of homelessness. Instead they attributed the cause to unaffordable rents which sets the precedents towards letting the homelessness go into a crises and fueled support towards eviction restrictions.
It takes one year in jail along with treatment to kick drug addiction or they'll do drugs again 🤔

@@garystillman2724 Meth, cocaine & hard alcohol. Before I started, I believed users were garbage human beings. That opinion didn't change after I started using. I hated feeling like I was a disgrace to my race and I knew I'd fail my daughter. Started going to AA, didn't stay, but they gave me the tools I needed.

The outline given by the Kent police Department (4m 12s) to city council or to the press pretty much says all as to why all this is happening.
*Drug epidemic (demand)
*Homeless camps
*Restrictions on evictions
*Unbalanced approach to the King County criminal justice system
*Restriction on law enforcement
*Law enforcement staffing shortages due to restrictions placed on them.
All of which can go back to the politicians at the state and local levels when they decided to let law and order go.
The real problem is not the Socialist Democrat politicians who peddle the "soft-on-crime" ideology, it's the ignorant voters who elect them. How much worse does the crime have to get before the stupid cupcakes realize the only way to turn it around is to start electing "no-nonsense" Republicans who will begin enforcing the law again?
Defunding the police was a really dumb decision. re-estructuring and reinforcing internal affairs was way more useful for society.
You still think it was the police that caused more than .1% of the problems? When they do bad they get in trouble when they do criminal they get jailed. That’s only for cops as citizens suffer neither and do 99.99% of the issues.
We don't need African-American police officers that are involved with drug dealers. We don't need Caucasian police officers that didn't grow up around black people. ..as a current resident of a transitional housing building in Everett, I can tell you that a huge barrier is convincing the homeless to take services.. I questioned the reluctance of the homeless people I'd met during my homeless period to take offered housing services.. until I took them myself.. the problems I personally am experiencing range from everything from tenant law violations, fair housing act violations, harassment, racism (employee), awful levels of fentynal exposure, biohazards, ADA violations... and don't get me started on the friend who's mishandled DV situation could've been prevented had the proper laws and such been follwed.. and instead ended up with the victim getting extra trauma and a murdered puppy when not only did they fail to to what they were supposed to do.. but there was literally zero excuse not to intervene properly.. I've honestly considered tossing out a sleeping bag outside just for peace to get my head together around here.. it's a decent idea badly executed at best... it's a bigger factor than people realize..
