Love evil dead and big fan of Stephen King too, love his books. It's amazing that Bruce give him credit for promotion, glad he had a part to play in evil dead. Didn't know that.

But because I think having a rap session with Bruce like a road trip out west or just a dinner having steak and stogies would be awesome. All you need is a separate copy of Evil Dead 2. Just get ready to pause when Master Bruce says so, and you're ready to go. And, the original stream definitely did not have video of the movie. As noted in the commentary, that stuff is locked up in copy right to an insane degree. The fact that the movie's OG audio is on here at all, that's fantastic.
This was a livestream event in April 2021 of the movie with Bruce in the corner of the screen (like Twitch) pausing and commenting as the movie played. I've only uploaded the audio as I have no desire to deal with any copyright nuisances as a result of uploading the livestream.
Bizzare that the stuido wouldn't give em the rights... maybe they would, but with too many strings attached. And or, the Studio wanted a too big cut of the picture's figures...
Studio politics are a tangled web. Anyway, they did themselves a favour when it comes to future-proofing the home media releases because things like that can be a nightmare to sort out if rights expire, what with 2 different studios owning 2 different parts of 1 film, as would have been the case here. It’s the same with music licensing, it was often the case that when the licensing expired, home media releases would have the soundtracks changed to accommodate for this issue. Examples off the top of my head include The Thing (Stevie Wonder’s Superstition was missing from the film for years on VHS) and more infamously Return of the Living Dead.
Of course now, but for casual viewers back in the late 80s and early 90s...those people were so dumb back then. Casuals today are far more intelligent.

It was my first horror movie at age 6. Its still one of my all tops.
This is better than the original commentary for sure. More movies need pauses like this, let the folks speak without feeling rushed.
This was great but I gotta say, the laserdisc/DVD commentary is one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
