Perfection: at what point does perfection sound unreal? Time: It takes time to be great or even good at anything, mixing and music is no different! SLOW down learn/know what you want from and out of ones music! Experimentation: I have watched countless videos of people saying you should NOT do this or that! WHY? Best lesson is a bought lesson "if you will". just a quick thought
I tried using a NAS(it wasn’t a synology one) before and it didn’t work well for me at the time…so now I have a hybrid system…basically an 8tb SSD that’s used as my dropbox drive and I have the pro business version of DB that’s used gives me 9tb of storage…so I work off of that drive…the benefit is that whenever I save anything it’s automatically backing it up for me in the cloud…just been my system for the last few years
A little bit of it all…I went to full sail for a couple years (didn’t finish) and from there just personal study and then spending loads of time networking and getting connected with various people in the industry that have mentored me throughout the last decade
I found that video incredibly stupid, bcoz how would he be able to tell what was a home recording fr commercial studio ? A bad recording is a bad recording &I've heard em fr big studios, In America some Home Studios & Recordings rival &even outshine commercial studios & it's not an exception, it's become way more common & his tangent on plugins seemed shorts sided, Also alotta Commercial studios are closing due to the RoI on their multi million dollar setup has dried up 😂 .

The biggest takeaway is to give each record making process (composing, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering) its right amount of attention.
Yup

I don’t use plug ins only to master I use the old school approach!
John Mike what are your thoughts on the use of a Synology NAS system with music production?
Do you use it? If so, how do you set it up and use it?

John Mike, how did you obtain your knowledge in recording/audio production?? Mentorship?? Formal training in college or audio production school??
A little bit of it all…I went to full sail for a couple years (didn’t finish) and from there just personal study and then spending loads of time networking and getting connected with various people in the industry that have mentored me throughout the last decade
Hey Mike, how are you able to monetize off of reaction videos? Do you not get copyright strikes?
No I don’t cause it falls under “fair use” plus that’s why I play it at 2X
