BolognaTheTiger +1 That Chevelle is a beast. 2nd Gen A bodies are heavy and to almost pull an 8 second run with a N/A heavy ass big block is fricken awesome. 2nd Gen A bodies are true muscle cars and they are by far my favorite. My first car was a 70 Chevelle Malibu with only a 350 but damn I loved that car until some dumb bitch in her civic that daddy just bought her for graduation rear ended me at a stop light because she was talking on her cell phone. Even though the damage was mostly to her car the chevelle was totaled and her insurance screwed me over with a $4200 check. This was in 2002 but even then $4200 only got you a project car and even though mine wasn't pretty it was a California only rust free car.
Absolutely awesome...clean, incredibly quick foot brake car. I love it. Would like to know engine specs, weight, tranny, converter, and rear gear. Thanks for posting, as this reminds me of fastest street car racing in the mid-90's.
Serious power there man--would something like the 572 be a better starting point due to the added cubes - you sure have the right combination, that's thing is fast and hooks well
Man, that's a nice car! I have a 138 VIN '68 SS396 car but it's no longer a big block. It's an Dart 400 SB. Don't race it just drive it. Hydraulic roller, 10:1 pump gas motor. Fasted than the 396 it came with. Is your motor race only on race gas? What kind of cam and compression are you running? FAST AS HELL! LOVE IT!
We don't like going .100 Over on Big blocks because the benefit doesn't out weight the down side with a greatly reduced life cycle . LORD knows we have plenty Boat anchor's already ...
Well seeing how the car is the motor and 68 chevelles while NOT that easy to find clean are still around ..I never get to horny over NO Motor No Trans ex race car's period ..
don't care how quick others have run, this things Probably one of the best all motor n/a single 4barrel Big Blocks I've seen.👍
This is my brother's car. It used to be a NHRA G/SA, 396, 325 hp. Now it's a little quicker LOL!!!! Best ET was 8.95, so far.
+John W 1711 Stock whats the rear axle ratio
+Tony 282 I believe it was 4.10, at the time.
wow nice! what rpms would the engine run because im building up my chevelle right now and want it to be a beast like this one
Tony 282 As far as I know, it was around 82 to 8500. You will need deep pockets. LOL
yeah but it will be worth it, whats the top speed on it ?
very nice chevelle..., don't let anybody f- -k with ya on how to drive/ your driving it, nobody else/ awesome times/ good luck
I'M A DIEHARD FORD FAN BUT I'VE ALWAYS LIKED THE '68 SS CHEVELLE OVER THE '69 MODEL STYLING. GOOD VIDEO.
I agree. I think the taillights on the 68's look more finished than the 69's do.
@@user-ge2qn6gp4oAnd the grille is metal too, classic!
This car runs so good. Sure do like it! Nice job!
omg are you serious... one of the nicer chevelles out there running crazy times
Blew the doors off that LSX trans am!!! I like small blocks, but big blocks are just capable of obscene power N/A all motor!!!

No it didn't, not even close...
In this day and age one setup on one motor doesn't dictate every single ones performance.
a 70-72 project car cost about 6 to 10 grand now
This is the definition of jaw-dropping
Sweet dreams are made of these!
SICK MACHINE MAN--LIKE THE BASIC NO FRILLS STEEL WHEELS, REMINDS ME OF AN OLD JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

I think the old man just about shit himself on that 1st pass lol. Beautiful car
That's almost a god damn liter per cylinder
Ridiculously nice ass chevelle
Thats a screaming big block. Is he foot breaking? Thats a nice ride
I see it slowed down when the car picked up the front tires
+Preston Sharp the key is how he got to 475ci that's the real secret!
+BigChevyFTW 4.0 stroke .100 over

Lookslike a sleeper w/ those stock wheels on her ' but wal cool Chevelle !! Jimmie R
+im a troll. eh just tint the windows and Id call it a sleeper lol. cowl hoods are pretty normal for a chevelle now a days.
I like car is built good but need to put two hands on wheel once in high gear for safety
ive never seen that much water on the ground for a water box .. wtf ?
i think this car is for sale somewhere
Yes. He sold it, less motor, and trans, last year.
Well seeing how the car is the motor and 68 chevelles while NOT that easy to find clean are still around ..I never get to horny over NO Motor No Trans ex race car's period ..
What exhaust is on this car
maybe dual cherrybombs but more than likely straight piped or open headers. hard to tell from a video
radials for street cars
Crap I was wrong there not stock wheels ' they shure look it at 1st.
They are Welds. They were powder coated by D&W Motorsports, in Gilbertsville, PA.
Should have chromed the bumpers.
No, flat black looks better.
Motorcycle drag
Put some real tires on it
Nice launch scared yah huh?
