Hey - just went through a move and have black spots near the middle of my vizio. I think they're pressure spots. I have also ran the TV non stop and they are getting better! Thanks for proving me right to my wife. :-)
Give it a try its not for all Tv's but it works on some and doesnt work on others and it doesnt hurt to try something for free versus buying a new tv at 250.00 on up
TV is trash! Company replaced the first one with dark spots. At first I thought it was just that particular model. We received the second one and literally, less than nine months later, the replacement started doing the same exact thing (dark spots). In my little personal opinion, the product is defective because no other television I've ever owned did this (well that stupid projection television with the bulb), has caused this type of headache. I called Vizio again about the replacement. They offered a 30% discount toward the purchase of a new television. I will not be using that code! The TV is still trash but you get exactly what you pay for sometimes! I am happy they made the right decision with the replacement and offering the discount. My suggestion would be for them to go back to the drawing board, pull these models and get it together before selling this product.
no the spots didnt come back in fact before this TV finally failed due to old age the black spots on the panel where completely gone and didnt come back this tv made it all the way into December of 2019 before it failed the backlight failed in the TV and whats even more wild is for a 100.00 TV i got my money's worth before i went to my 4k TV and im actually very happy this tv came along for 100.00 it was a great TV while it lasted.
@@dianapena5216 this tv when it failed the backlight went out and the screen exploded key word on exploded i went for another brand i went to a tcl after this and samsung's have power board failures so be careful
if only lasted a year. email or call manufacture they will replace it, most TV warranty is 3years of having tv. shouldnt go black screen. after 1 year.
@@johnDingoFoxVelocity did u still have manufacture warranty of the tv? if tv faulty you get a new one free I did with my 65inch tv. got brand new even voice control one.. I'm happy.
@@yolotoko2393 you have to understand i payed 100.00 for this tv it would have cost me more then that to replace the lcd panel in the tv so i just bought a new one and recycled the old one at my local electronics recycler
Every 50 inch Vizio tv I have bought and used for gaming gets a dark spot that spreads over the tv screen. I am pretty sure it from it starting to burn out. Both TVs were 2-3 years old. I won't be buying this brand again and I do not recommend it for gaming regardless of the lower than average price for the tv. Vizio is pretty much trash and you are wasting your money if you buy one for gaming
yep and remember that this doesnt work for every tv and it was a nice experiment for people to try it worked fine on my tv until in late 2019 the tv exploded which was because the backlight failed on this TV which is why i purchased a new TCL TV.
For my TV it’s random spots that there’s just a black blob that you can see. It’s very prominent in games with dark areas.

your welcome i am glad it worked for you like i said it works on some tv's and not on others i think its mainly due to screen type
I'm dealing with this after a move. I feel like my tv is always on but I can try this
I’m gonna test this thank you for the idea! Great video

Why are you using a mostly black screen to show dark areas?
Because at the time of this video it was the best way to see the black streaks on the display

Did the spots ever come back after the tv was off again?

I will never buy a VIZIO TV again. I have a 70” that didn’t last a year. Half the screen is black.
Me too we’re going with Samsung next time our vizio lasted a year
indeed and this fix is for only if you have them at the top of the screen and not for 4k tvs please notice this video was produced a long time ago
