    Just a quick note on these boots!
    At 2:20 Brandon talks about the Boot-to-Suit connection system. After shooting this video Dainese decided to remove the velcro and replace it with their Demon logo for the full production version. The version shown here was a sample given to us before the boot's release so we could make a video in time for the release. Product photos on the linked page below are accurate as to what the boot looks like when ordered on the site:
    www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-sport-master-gore-tex-boots
    It's also worth noting that these are still designed as an in-boot, they just no longer have the abrasive "hook" fastener side which can tear up pants that are not equipped with the softer "loop" side.

      can it still be worn with a leather suit ?

    • @The-Splat
      @The-Splat Год назад

      @@enricosabbatini9302 Yes, provided the trousers are designed for “in” boots. Most (all?) textiles are designed for “in” boots. And I believe all Dainese race suits and most of their leather pants are designed for “in” boots, too.

    Really miss Anthony's reviews -- with his nitpicks and gripes thrown in and explanation about where the product fits into the range.
    Nowadays these are pretty standard product presentations, like just reading a manufacturer spec sheet.

      I agree. I miss Anthony alot! He gave a different character to RevZilla videos. And I liked his knowledgeable opinions. Shame he left

    Hey Brandon, you mentioned the TR Course Out boot specifically in this review. I've got a pair of the Course Outs in size 46 that fit great. I tried upgrading to a TRQ-Tour in the same size, but it's uncomfortably tight and narrow in the toe and almost baggy around the ankle. Can you advise whether the Sport Master fits more like the TR Course Out or the TRQ-Tour?

    They look somehow shorter than other boots. Are they, or it's just my impression because they are thinner in their upper part?

    Dear Revzilla,
    I have one question about Dainese if you know the answer.
    Why does dainese preferred to choose synthetic leather?
    Before some years all the products was 100% genuine leather.
    My concern is that the synthetic leather will not last in the years in comparison with the genuine leather!
    At least in my mind!
    Could you please tell me your opinion about my question and share your experience if you have any for the synthetic leathers by using them for say in a 3 to 5 years.
    Thank you.

    • @JelloThatsMellow
      @JelloThatsMellow Год назад +1

      Lightweight, ease of manufacturing, and customer testimonials seem to say microfiber uppers last quite well. Leather needs its own set of care to last, while synthetics don't.
      I've only got my smx-1 r v2 for a year, but besides the bug splatter, they look fine. I didn't expect them to break in much, but they did that too!
      They do still have the fulcrum gt if you desire leather too. I've found it to be a nice boot, but a bit fashionably dated. Shrug.

      Great catch Cedrick!
      We dug into that and figured out the reason why, which we have pinned at the top of the comments here.
      Sorry for any confusion,

    nice looking boots! are they certifiec to CE lev 1 or 2?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  3 года назад +3

      These boots are CE Level 1 rated.

    • @The-Splat
      @The-Splat 2 года назад +1

      They are CE level 1 for transverse rigidity, abrasion and cut resistance. Most Dainese boots are only CE level 1, which is disappointing considering the price.

  • @FlameHazeist
    @FlameHazeist 3 года назад +2

    What are the CE levels of impact abrasion resistance,
    impact cut resistance and transverse rigidity?

    • @The-Splat
      @The-Splat 2 года назад +1

      It's CE certified to Level 1 for abrasion resistance, cut protection and transverse rigidity. The Level 1 ratings across the protection board are disappointing for this type of boot.
      In contrast, all boots in the Alpinestars SMX range are CE Level 2 for abrasion resistance and impact cut protection. Some but not all SMX boots also achieve Level 2 for transverse rigidity.
      TXC's equivalent boots get similar CE ratings to Alpinestars SMX boots. Now that Dainese has bought TCX, I hope it will raise its protection game.

    Is this suitable for cold weather riding, or mainly for warm weather since the outer is perforated?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  2 года назад +4

      It is perforated but still a WP Gore-tex liner so it can handle cooler climates. We wouldn't recommend trekking around in the snow in them, but depending on your climate you should be OK for the cooler months.

      Around this budget the Nexus 2 air is better for airflow. Gore tex is more breathable than rubber but not by enough to be cool in summer
