  • The new AI feature built into Microsoft's Copilot called Recall is a bit creepy isn't it. Maybe you should just install Linux. In this video we discuss Copilot's Recall feature to see if this is something you want on your computer. As you use your PC, Recall takes snapshots of your screen. Snapshots are taken every five seconds while content on the screen is different from the previous snapshot. Your snapshots are then locally stored and locally analyzed on your PC. If you want to learn a little about some of Copilot's new features around using AI then watch this video and help me decide if we really need this feature.

Hackers will have it easier, all our information in one place. Windows is the most insecure system on the planet because of things like this. Nice video Craig!

Copilot is already too intrusive for me, Recall is way over the top. Especially if it knows about my Mila Kunis infatuation.

3:39 Yet another data breach hitting even the elite Tier 1 Telcos? Color me surprised-not. It'll be a real show to see how AI shakes up their snug little setups. Maybe it'll finally kick them into gear to offer something more than their 'standard' WAN packages. Time to see if they can actually be flexible, adaptable, and deliver a complete solution that genuinely fits client needs. What a concept, right? 😂

Nothing creepy about it. The Mac has been doing it with Time Machine for a while. It’s a thing you can decide to turn on or off. Same way you can decide to turn off your computer and not use it and rather use pen and paper.

It's different then time machine in the sense that that is also password protected and the backup drive is normally not connected to the Mac if you are out at the coffee shop etc. But with this it takes screenshots of your passwords and financial data so it's not good and why do you need it. Just save your files the using a verified system and what advantages would this bring beyond that?

I guess Apple screening all photos on your iPhone is not creepy? 🤷🏼
Btw. Apple collecting “device analytics” without users consent and selling it to the highest bidder is not creepy either 🤷🏼

It's a possibility for sure. If they start trying to mine everything we do to train Ai so it get's better at replacing us we need to think about that.
