Huion Kamvas Pro 16 Premium. Very similar to Huion Kamvas 13 Pro except for the difference in size. I tested the Kamvas pro 16 premium with zbrush and photoshop. This Huion display tablet is another iteration to its previous versions and boy oh boy does the improvements are clearly noticeable or not.

I got it as my first display tablet (I'm a professional and I only used wacom non-display tablets and an ipad before) and I love it - the only nitpick I would have is that the pen is a bit lightweigh and have considerably less "premium" feel than my wacom pro pen 2, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Awesome review, thanks for sharing! XP-Pen user here. XP-Pen is a great Wacom alternative. I've had 3 XP-Pen tablets so far and all of them still work perfectly. Started with the Star 03 then upgraded to the Deco Pro and just a couple of months later bought the Artist 15.6 Pro drawing monitor 16" .

How much is the difference between the 2 cost wise?
Generally what I've observed so far with huion is that whenever they released a tablet with different specs, the newer one tends to be better. Unfortunately I didn't receive the earlier version or else I would've compared them hands on too.
£325 vs £419 on Huion uk site. I've taken the plunge and gone for premium as it looks brighter on your review, comes with stand etc. Thanks!

I own an Huion Kamvas Pro 16 Premium, so far the only difference I see between the regular and premium is that the premium display has 150% sRGB as the regular display has 120% sRGB
so we have the pro 16 and the pro 16 premium whereby the differences are one has 150 sRGB and the other has 120 sRGB and the one with a higher colour gamut connects to a power source ? correct? and how come this is the only review of the premium version on youtube?

Hey I have a question for you, I am new to digital Art, but I have some experience in „normal“ drawing. Would you recommend me getting a Kamvas 13 or a Kamvas Pro 16 Premium? The Kamvas 16 is reduced in price from 500 to 400 bucks. I dont know if its worth to buy it for 130 bucks more.
13 is portable. 16 is kinda hard to travel with. If you're just starting I'd suggest go with 13 first. There's not much difference between the 2 apart from sizing. If 13 is around 270 bucks then it's a good deal too.

Unfortunately my review unit went away after 2-3 months. Till that time it worked fine.
Anyone knows what happened with the premium version? I can't find it anywhere.. not even in HUION's shop site.

Please check your macOS version and if its compatible. Also check on reddit. Many users have shared their issues and some workaround there. Unfortunately, I don't own a mac. :
What's the difference between the pro and the pro premium and thanks
Pro premium has slightly wider color gamut and a different stand I believe.

Both will perform fairly similar and they use the same pen tech too. It's just a matter of size.

i dont have two hdmi post i have , 1 hdmi and 1 vga , no dva , i am using a gaming monitor on that hdmi port . vga to hdmi do really works ? vga port dont cary data and sound , i saw a converter with 3.5mm jack in it but i dont know will it work on it :/ . what to do i just ordered this one :( , hdmi splliter will work ?
I think a VGA to HDMI converter will be just fine. Don't know about the 3.5mm jack one. I would personally ignore it and just use the VGA-HDMI converter. The loss(if any) will be totally negligible.
i can't open any painting software on my tablet, can anyone suggest me any solution?
only the taskbar works, but when ever i click on anything on it, it only changes and opens things on the monitor of my computer.

@@FullMetalMudcrab Ah, I think you need to install the huion drivers, and go into its settings, and choose your huion display as your only display where you would want the tablet to work on.

Yes. Outside use with laptop. But it's quite huge for carrying outdoors. Check kamvas 13 which I've reviewed. That is more portable.

As a lefty, this product is nearly useless :/
I was so excited for mine but had such a nightmare trying to set it up. Huion doesnt have a lefty mode so you have to go into mode, flip 180 degrees, change your computer display mode to landscape flipped, and then you're stuck with an upside down computer screen and ONLY your tablet to look at. If you try to do extended screen instead of duplicate your pen will stop working.
On top of that there's no easy rotate button like the Wacom wheel has on their nonscreen tablets, and it doesn't support touch for easy on screen modifiers while drawing. Only thing that bar does is scroll/zoom which I use my mouse for. Rotating is such a common function while drawing certain curves Im sjocked they have no easy rotate function.
Mine also didn't come with a stand so Id have to purchase that extra, and im forced to have my tablet on my lap or flat on my desk and the colors look terrible.
For 400$ I was severely disappointed.

@@MrMuBot why on earth would I order the stand. The product is 100% unusable as a left handed person. Huion isn't getting a penny from me after this flop. I'm sending it back. After 4 hours of trying to get this to work, absolutrly nothing fixed my issue. In future reviews try to look st it from a left handed users perspective. So far Wacom is the ONLY company that actually has us in mind .

I know this was a while ago, but were you hooking it up to a Mac? If so, you may have needed to change the screen orientation on the Mac itself.
You should fix the resolution on the tablet from windows settings.
It was already running at 1080p.

I got some problem on my pen, after i not used above 10 seconds the pen doesn't work anymore and the pen work again after turn on again the tablet
Try reinstalling the drivers.

Ah I am myself not sure how the naming of this unit is being updated so frequently. This one has both the words associated with it. Pro and premium. Haha.
@@MrMuBot one is black entirely with the updated gamut and included stand. I bought mine from an official 3rd party distributer in the US. But the official 1st party website does NOT sell the "premium" version. I'm assuming this was some fringe experimental unit.
If it looks brand new and untouched then it should be fine.
