Octane puts fire out, it’s harder to light 100ll vs 87, as an example. If you’re “cooling” the fire you’re dampening the heat or melting properties in the cylinder…this is why you need to run a mix st Lower elevation where your sled will be mapped leaner or when you’re borderline on compression or added boost. If that makes sense, that’s how I explain/remember it.

Wicked sleds. Your videos have helped me hop on a sled for the first time this season and keep up to (and impress, apparently) my fairly advanced buddies. First ride of the season was my first time in the mountains with an engine, hit a few trees and literally didn't know how to turn a sled. Last ride out everything just "clicked" and I was out there wrong foot side hilling through the trees in spring mashed potatoes without a worry, climbing and jumping, and starting to get comfortable pulling that front end up. It's a pretty great feeling when things start to become muscle memory! Can't wait to see where you guys go next season and hope that youtube remains lucrative enough to justify the effort!
Hey bud I locked in a really good deal with Iceage so the builds showcased their products. I’ll be using a Thomas Factory Racing Glyde Skid this season which uses Iceage rails. The carbon products are awesome as well so if that’s the direction your going you’ll be stoked! 👊

Hi Dan, if I understand correctly you only dropped the skid to the lower bolt on the 165 Boost and left the two other ones the same? Curious as to how it handles compared to the other two. I have elevate spindles on mine but must have missed the part about how the recommend dropping to the lower bolt. Wondering if I need to do that. Thanks.
Hey bud yeah it’s a noticeable change and one that I wanted to spend a bit of time going from one sled to the other to decide if I thought it was necessary. I like it and will certainly make changes to a couple sleds this season! Thanks for watching 🙏
@@NextLevelRidingClinics On a 23 Khaos there is a floating shaft through that suspension arm. I can get one bolt out but not the other. Is there a trick?
@@doughofmann There is factory lock tight on both sides of every shaft on a rear suspension. You will need to break them free by tightening and loosening each bolt until they both are freed up. 👍
@@NextLevelRidingClinics I'm curious, what differences did you notice with the lower bolt hole? I'm trying to decide whether to do it. I have a 146. Is it ski pressure and ski lift? Where you not able to find a balance with shock settings on the regular bolt hole to compensate for the added ski pressure? I appreciate any feedback since we're probably one of very few people discussing this!
@@doughofmann Hey bud on a 146 you probably don’t need to move the front torque arm to create a lighter front end. It’s already going to work as is. Riders that have a pro and are trying to get some front end lift would benefit greatly from this as well khaos profile rails and center shock. My advice to most riders looking for a fun sled is to start with a Khaos and make tweaks from there. It’s a bit cheaper and easier to settle down a khaos than it is to make a pro more lively. But at the end of the day go ahead and try the bolt setting and see what happens….it could be rad! Thanks for sharing 🙏
dan, on your ibexx scratchers, i thought when i read while installing mine they went the "other" way... like mine might be "upside" down compared to yours...
Howdy, I’ve been using them opposite of the way they say to run them so the coil is towards the bottom like a stock Polaris scratcher. I’ve had great success running them way but I also don’t back up with them even though you are suppose to be able to. Personal preference I think 👍👍👍

Incorporate an led brake light into your rear bumper handle (your signature design) and get rid of that ‘94 chevy’ Polaris light! Clean that tunnel up! Easily the ugliest thing on all Polaris snowmobiles!
