"Euphoria, shut the f**k up! I know that was you! I ain't even gotta look!" Gets me every time
First time we watched this, we laughed so hard at this part, I was almost choking/wheezing and we had to stop the movie for a few minutes to recover
@@p-forestThis movie had me like that multiple times. I can't think of another comedy, that had me taking recomposure breaks. 😂
😂That Caught Me Off Guard. And He Made Me Laugh Even Harder Because I Didn't Know He Was Gonna Snap On Her Like That.😅😂😂😅
Crenshaw Pete!😂😂

"Hush up little girl, a lot of cats got that name!"
The way she looks from them to BD 🤔
🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥
This movie belongs on mount Rushmore of greatest movie parodies of all time.
Agreed!
Hear hear!
Sure does
Airplane!, Hot Shots, Young Frankenstein, Naked Gun, Galaxy Quest, and Black Dynamite. We may need a bigger mountain.
@@armchairgravy8224 would you consider "not another teen movie " 🤔
"Ha! I threw that before I even came in the room!"
My buddy and I laughed so hard we had to rewind because we missed everything after that 🤣🤣🤣
@@LordVolkov I watched that scene at least 4 times when I heard that.
That's my favorite line. Just because of how unusually happy he was to say it. Gets me every time.
I remember when I 1st saw that scene. I laughed so hard I got a migraine 😂
*“I threw that shit before I walked in the room”
It's not just a cut after the slap, they replaced the actor.
One of my favorite parts lol. That and that boomerang lol
I swear I must have laughed for 30 minutes. Had to pause the goddam movie, stand up and go outside for air lol
The joke is:
He "slapped the black" off of him. That's why there's a difference in the two actor's complexion. I wouldn't have caught that had I not watched the outtakes. Hilarious!!
SLAP
"Muthafuka!!
YESSSS!!!!! 😂😂
And I swear, in the second cut, Bullhorn has a black eye from, presumably, the other actor hitting him after the take
There's too many great quotes in this movie.
"But black dynamite i sell drugs in the community"
One of my favorite comedies
"That may be so..."
The pimp meeting is such a great collection of black actors and comics (and Captain Kangaroo).
@@LordVolkov I swear I have to pause it every time to laugh and cry
@@LordVolkov*be that as it may.
“I refuse to let this happen to you, little man! I will shake this poisonous shit out of your little smacked up body if I have to!”
“Black Dynamite, stop! We’ve tried that. Nothing works!”
What's great about this movie is, not only is it a perfect love letter/parody of those 70s Blacksploitation movies, it's also just a genuinely good Blacksploitation movie that would not be out of place at all in the 70s.
EXACTLY! This is the most loving homage AND comedy.
FINALLY, someone reacting to this.
Most of the jokes/references go over most people's heads (including mine, probably), but this is a masterful spoof.
"HAHA I THREW THAT S*HT BEFORE I WALKED IN THE ROOM!!!" That line always kills me when I watch this.
I watched it with about 10 ppl the first time the room erupted withblaughter for about 5 minutes we had to stop the movie 😂😂😂
Black Dynamite is a piece of art.
That King Of The Hill “I’m Laotian!” bit was unintentionally recreated in a US Senate hearing this week. I wish I was joking.
Not that I disbelieve you, but what exactly happened? (Not in the US, here)
@@samovarsa2640 The CEO of Tiktok was testifying. He's from Singapore and they kept asking him if he's Chinese and if he is a member of the Chinese communist party, over and over.
@@toddjones1480 good God, I had even heard of that. I guess my brain tried to protect me by forgetting that. What a shitshow.
@@toddjones1480 yep and the poor guy kept repeating no I'm from Singapore and the congressman kept asking if he's from China. I'm like Jesus Christ it was ridiculous and sad.
@@toddjones1480 So.....was he chinese or japanese?
Black Dynamite is one of those rare birds I call a "perfect film". Every frame has purpose. I'm so glad you watched this and I'm so glad you got it. Rock on wit yo bad selves.
If you can find it, there is an alternate cut from pre-release screeners that is even funnier than the DVD release/streaming version. I can't quite explain it, but it's in the editing.
I love Emily's face when Black Dynamite declared he used to be an orphan. Me too.
"Who saw that comin' -- uh, who saw where that came from?" What a great flick, love this movie!
This is one of the funniest movies ever made. Craziest thing to me is that, while it's being super-meta in breaking the 4th wall, they went through so much effort to never break the 4th wall when it came to the blacksploitation time period. There's never a shot of anything post-70's. Never an accidental shot of a modern car in the background, or a prop, a building, a sign, a piece of clothing that was made after the 70's. Even the helicopter and the bikes the kids rode...70's. That's a level of pre-planning and attention to detail that i dont think most folks understand. It's nuts.
The levels of pure joy that Emily experienced during this movie gave me life. 😊❤
" HAHA, I THREW THAT SHIT BEFORE i WALKED IN THE ROOM!" My friends and I use that shit all the time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Emily's face computing how he distinctly said he was in 'Nam, but him calling them Chinese. 😂
Black Dynamite has to be on my Rushmore for comedies. Multiple times where I've had to pause the movie, to gather myself from laughing way too hard.
That was the greatest logic chain of thought in the history of Cinema.
Black Dynamite had me from the jump, but when he kicks his nunchucks offscreen and a crewmember tosses them back I nearly died laughing. My buddy and I had to rewind because we missed the next five minutes or so 🤣🤣🤣
Happened again at "Ha ha! I threw that shit before I came in the room!!!"
It's a loving homage to blacksploitation and hits every note perfectly. I hope you two can dive into some of the classics eventually.
Not only that, but they were the same three men he just threw out the window, a scene prior. And I think they were back outside, when he gave chase to Chicago Wind. Love subtle humor like that. 😂😂
Emily needs a Chicago Wind type nickname. I have a few:
- Midtown Missy
- Detroit Honey
- Snow Lovelace
- Hot Baked Cinna-Mint
- Rosemary Pepper
- Hennessey Em
- Two Cat Betty
“Haha. I threw that sh!t before I walked in the room.”😂
We had to rewind, replay, and pause for laughter after so many moments or we’d miss two scenes.
"Fiendish Dr. Woo, you done f#cked up now!!!!!!"🤬 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You guys would definitely love the Cartoon. All the actors did the voices for their characters and it's just as funny if not funnier than the movie.
Saw the notification... clicked instantly. Curious to see Emily's reaction. She's gold!
Edit: a few minutes in... Emily has not disappointed!!!🤣
4:36 when Honey Bee is choking on smoke she inhaled, her cigarette isn't even lit.
Black Dynamite cartoon is hilarious also 🤣
The militant leader was portrayed by Phil Morris son of the late Greg Morris from the 1960's Mission Impossible TV series.
Played a lawyer in Seinfeld too.
::Sarcastically:: Everyone knows that!
I was trying to figure out who he reminded me of.
He looks just like his dad.
@@whostheblackprivatestick8565 Phil does share a very strong resemblance to his father along with his older sister Iona Morris who is also an actor like Phil. Iona and Phil were both featured in the Original Star Trek series as children Both Mission Impossible and Star Trek were filmed at the same Studio at the time.
@@GolobulusJohnson-ti9vn He was a parody of Johnnie Cochran. He did an incredible job. Kramer used to hire him
I saw Black Dynamite when I was in high school and it's still the hardest I've ever laughed at a movie
Me and my friends would quote it for - well, till school ended
It's so endlessly quotable and hilarious
"Donuts don't wear alligator shoes"
"I threw that shit before I walked in the room!"
"But black dynamite! I sell drugs to the community!"
"Not the orphans! I used to BE an orphan!"
😂😂😂😂
Chocolate Giddy Up breaks me everytime!
Didn't expect this movie to have so much Airplane-like goofy humor throughout it, but I sure not upset about it. Gosh darn riot!
One of the best parodies ever because it absolutely NAILS everything about the aesthetic of 70s blaxploitation films. There are a lot of meta jokes about low budget filmmaking packed in, and they shot it on 16mm color reversal stock to really replicate the look. Out of context, by sight alone, it could easily be mistaken for a real 70s blaxploitation movie...it was clearly made by people who know and love the genre, and that's what makes it work.
This is one the greatest movies of all time. I have watched it quite a few times and will usually catch little subtleties that I missed in previous watch throughs.
The Animated Series Is Even More Funnier, Great Reaction Guy's

Roger Yuan, who played Fiendish Dr. Wu, is also in _Dune: Part One_ and its upcoming sequel. He is also the fight coordinator, and he will fight against Austin Butler's character, Feyd-Rautha.
I just love how someone can work in two completely different films, in terms of budget, scale, production...
His brother, Ron, is an actor and stunt coordinator.
CRIMINALLY underrated when it was released, with a lot of references to actual blacksploitation films, e.g. Black dynamites incredible combat noises are heavily inspired by the 75 film Black Belt Jones (which, alas, are nowhere near as good).
Where is Bucky and what has he had? is taken straight from the Rudy Ray Moore classic Avenging Disco Godfather.
@@roboticd 'suddenly, I'd like to leave your island' is directly from Enter the Dragon. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few others like that.
That's the loudest I've ever heard Matt. He lost it!😂
I randomly get "Haha! I threw that shit before I walked in the room!" running around my mind.
I can't wait till his new one!
Low key one of the best parody movies..had to edit my post and add Matthew's jive voice "but I sell drugs in the community" omfg 😭
Think I've said a version of that line for months after this movie came out.
**SLAP** "Damn! Motherfu****!!!" 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
And then the actor gets swapped out for the retake. Love that shit.
Black Dynamite and Undercover Brother are Epic movies.
I *knew* Emily would LOVE this movie! She went full Muttley laugh! 😂
Ok, Matthew, you mentioned Rudy Ray Moore, now you have to sit her down for Petey Wheatstraw!
Yes, please!
"Donuts don't wear alligator shoes."
Move over, Confucius.
7:55 "...farting through silk.." is a quote from Frank Sinatra. Thought I'd let ya know.
This is one of the best parodies of the blaxploitation genre out there. Tons of quotable lines and Michael Jai White and the rest of the cast are having a blast.
😂😅😅I have watched Y'all's Video of Reactions to Black Dynamite 8 Times Already. I have Never done that before. I just really enjoy laughing with Y'all while watching The Movie Over And Over And Over Again😅😂...Great Great Reactions👍🏾💯👍🏾
One thing that I don't know is many people appreciate is the attention to detail that was done to make everything look like an actual movie shat in the 70's. Every costume, every car, every building, everything looks exactly like something from the 70's.
I think the attention to detail should also be acknowledged.
I’ve waited 2 years for them to react to this movie and it wasn’t a disappointment. It’s such a great movie
One of my favs as another parody is 1988's "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." I felt it set the stage for BD.
"Undercover Brother" incoming
13:35 The car problems that henchmen had in that scene, and with the car door at Jimmy's apartment, were actually unintentional.
I was about the mention that. 🤣
Excellent choice!
You should also watch Dolemite Is My Name (2019) with Eddie Murphy, about the creation of the original movies that Black Dynamite spoofs.
Maybe a generous patron will recommend it...
Blood and bone is one of my favourite Michael Jai White films. I heartily recommend it.
I was about to go bed when I saw this video uploaded. I need to watch this reaction before I call it a night. Love this movie!
25:29 HA HA! I threw that shit before I walked in the *ROOM!!!*
Hell yeah.... "But Black Dynamite... I sell drugs to the community!"
A good chunk of this movie was filmed on Crenshaw Blvd were I grew up. The Rooster Club, the "Doughnut" place, the pool club, the cemetery. And they used an old camera to give that dated feel... so the film itself was super old.
The soundtrack amazing. The cast is legit! Eliza from Gargoyles being in it! Honeybee is the best. Also love the bit "I threw that shit before I came into the room!" because it just so perfectly highlights lazy filmmaking and absurd plot devices. I was very fortunate to have seen this movie in theaters when it came out in theaters around 2008 or 09.
Emily, never change. I love your infectious joy and laughter.
Fantastic watchalong with the two of ya, been waiting so long for ya to get to this gem!
"If yo mama were alive today she'd be rolling in her grave!" 😂
The look on his face, that moment where he's waiting for the director to call "cut" because a scene didn't go the way it was supposed to go, and then a subtle "you still want to keep rolling?"... so good! Oh and the actor being swapped out mid scene because he got mad from a slap, close tie. 😂😂😂
Swapped out, I might add with an actor who was like half the size of the original.
It's one of my top 5 movies of all time 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Honestly one of the great under appreciated comedies ever. So many people have never even heard of this movie
I'm surprised that you two actually made it thru this movie without gasping for air, because there's too many laugh it loud moments to even count, but to mention all the stuff that you could've missed because you were laughing so much at the previous bit 😂. The animated show is almost as funny, so you guys should give that a look-see as well, because even though most of the side characters died in the movie, they return in the show.
Oh yes, the Rudy Ray Moore stuff is highly recommended, especially Dolemite.
Would also recommend Trouble Man, has an all Marvin Gaye soundtrack.
Blacula used to be the King of Cartoons on Pee Wee's playhouse, and creator of the M-5 computer in Star Trek.
The unnecessary split screen when they kill Jimmy at the beginning. That's the moment I knew I was going to love this movie when I first saw it.
3:23 “commissioner Gordon gave us the rundown” 😂😂😂😂 immediately hits the like button
This move is one of the GREATEST CINEMATIC MASTERPIECES EVER CREATED! It's 10/10 across the board. A pure passion project that has provided the few fortunate eyes that have seen it limitless hours of laughs and memes.
This is so in Emily's wheelhouse. She'll love the behind-the-scenes stuff. The only good thing to come out of the 2008 writers' strike.
Loved it, because I grew up on a lot of these Blacksploitation movies as a child. The only problem with this movie is some of the references may be lost on younger generations.
I am always surprised that nobody seems to catch that one of the pimps (the first name we hear, if I recall) is named Kotex.
Probably the best reaction I've seen for this movie.
Clicks on video. Scroll down to comments. Types out: This was a hilarious reaction. Keep up the good work!!! Pushes submit.
9:26 that part had me crying so bad I caught a headache... the fact that they re-casted him afterwards was freaking hilarious!!
One of the funniest spoofs movies ever made.
Also the "Birthday Candle Trick From Nam" is a move of pure tactical genius😂
It's the names for characters in, not just the movie but the animated series. The names of the pimps are gold; Tasty Freeze, Chocolate Giddy Yup, what the f**k, Lol. I remember that one episode of Black Dynamite had Fiendish Dr Woo's Tang Clan, and another where Kream Korn mentioned him and Bullhorn getting killed just like in the movie, but it was a dream he had. Also, Abraham Lincoln's ghost showed up, dud that one move, and then left is to this day so hilarious, why??? Who thought of that? Lmao
I was waiting to see the car go over the cliff again. 😄
My best friend's wife got sick of me and him after he & I saw this in theaters because like little kids we went around quoting the lines for at least a month.
Love this movie so much. Hilarious and hugely quotable. I knew Michael Jai White before this for his various action flicks but the fact he is a comedic genius was a wonderful revelation.

Hey guys, glad to see fellow Mississippians doing reactions. If you guys like this Michael Jai White has a new Black Western Exploitation film that came out last summer. You guys should check it out. Keep up the awesome reactions you two. We're proud of ya'll.
The way the guy in the donut suit died... dropped like a coin 😂😂😂
The writer-director-producer and star of this magnum fu is a real life kagillion degree black belt from Mars. He was his own stunt man for all mixed martial arts fight scenes as, well, who could double THAT??
LEGEND.
Emily, this is easily among your top 5 reactions of all time. Thanks u both 4this 😂😂😂my face hurts.
Is that CineBear and Sugar Gurl? 😎
I can tell you that this parody is hilariously accurate. Dolomite and Pam Grier movies are entertaining on their own, if you're interested.
Also, I think in an interview he said that he's actually playing a former football player that had to end his career because of a shoulder injury. The levels of this parody are insane lol.
Indeed. You can still find the trailer, where they market him as an NFL player (ala Fred Williamson, Jim Brown) and Gloria as a beauty pageant queen (Pam Grier). I instantly knew what they were going for when I saw the trailer. 😂
Have not even watched yet and I'm so happy this movie is getting a small amount of the respect it deserves.
"dolemite is my name" i gotta recommend. eddie murphy film about the man, the myth, the legend rudy ray moore.
Wasn’t sure I was going to watch this until I think I heard him say “ these finger got the Wu. You done fucked up now!”

The whole movie is amazing
@@LordVolkov OOOHhhh. Im going to make a movie night of it tomorrow.

The Militants turn startled 😂
He has another movie that's about to come out called, "The outlaw Johnny Black," and it has the actors & actresses from this movie. The trailer is great. Johnny Black is an outlaw that tries to rescue a small wild west town by becoming a pastor and taking on the bad guys. I can't wait to see that shit.
9:25. Love this part where the guy breaks character, and then they put in a different person, in his place
25:28 "Ha Ha, I Threw That Shit Before I Walked in the Room!!!"
The BEST reaction... I could not stop laughing with yall... I thick it took me twice as long to watch
This movie is literally PERFECT. 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lol, this is great, I love her genuine laughter at everything. A lot of reactions miss half the jokes, but this was good.
The voice acting is as brilliant on the TV series. The chicken and waffles joke is a running gag in it as well.
I went to an early screening in Oakland with both director and star in attendance! I answered a trivia question and had a choice of either a bootleg copy of Shaft or a bootleg copy of Dr. Black Mr. Hyde. I chose Shaft because A: it seemed more apropos, and B: I already had a copy of Dr. Black Mr. Hyde
The scene where they cut because the big guy got really hit and they then switch to another guy...classic lol.
