Really really appreciate the tone of your review. This is how it's done! Fair and critical while remaining respectful. I really can't understand how some people get so angry and childish about this vehicle. Anyways, great review and I hope you do more!
Yeah those large injection mold dents are the biggest issue for me on this Jazzinc Batmobile. Sadly I ended up cancelling after Joost said it wasn't possible to fix them at this late stage in development. I hope Joost is able to do something about preventing them in future vehicles. Thanks for the in depth look and review.
@vspectra always saddening to see someone cancel on this.. love mine, if dents bugged me I'd fill em and repaint areas, take maybe a day. Even with the dents it's gorgeous.. nobody will match it in 1/6 scale.. and if they did it wouldn't be cheaper.
Holy crap... I enjoyed your take, most folks I've spoken with don't get that you can see the flaws and yet still love the Jazzinc. I've wet sended a few points on mine now. Most I think if you paid attention during the months you kinda saw coming, Jazzinc's workers seem to try with paint but tend to fall a bit short most cases. The dents are there but don't bug me enough to try to fill em. I don't have any issues on the middle of my hood thankfully. Thanks for Making the Batmobile review equivalent of the lord of the Rings :)
I applaud your honesty man - a ton of people that purchased are not being honest about the fit/finish and those don’t even have are talking a bunch of bullshit from a fanboy/cult of JazzInc perspective - let’s be really real - you use a lot of automotive reference; (I’m a car guy too) JazzInc is very Niche (I have both the 89 Batwing and Batmobile) are akin to Ferrari in their early stages (ie manufacturing issues/parts falling off/imperfections etc) - will they ever get to the level of “BMW”/Hot Toys (BMW’s are far from perfect). Only time will tell if they can achieve “Porsche” status; I hope to high heavens that Joost and the team aim for that higher level of perfection so people and you and I have little to complain about. When I got my Batwing I inspected the bird/bat like a new born baby (“10 fingers/10 toes???”) and found tons of imperfections (like a fuck ton). Did I have time to write Joost and team (no)? Does that mean that I accept the imperfections (no)? Do I love the Batwing any less (no)? Do I want to give Joost and team more chances for future products (I’ll be far more critical before dropping my coin)? I’ll give JazzInc credit for the attempt/aspirations; it’s just that the execution fell a little short on the 1989 IP for both the Batwing/Batmobile….
Thank you so much for these videos! You've gone into a level of detail that I've never explored with any of my pieces. haha I'm on the fence, but have an opportunity to purchase a local Jazzinc Batmobile. Hasn't shipped yet. Even with the flaws, there's something about the Jazz Inc piece that just makes it look real. Perhaps it is the imperfections that make it feel more grounded in the real world. The Hot Toys certainly has a more sanitary look to it. Does that make any sense? Do you have any thoughts on that? Thank you!
Fair points. I criticised the last video, but you've addressed some of those points here. My only criticism is that this focuses on the problems/issues/drawbacks of the JazzInc model, but doesn't do so for the HT model... For instance, you show the right side pod of the JazzInc in incredible detail, the inlet ports, the bits and pieces of the exposed metalwork, but then you don't show the equivalent parts on the HT model - I suspect because the JazzInc is the new model to you, so you're more focussed on the new one... But it makes it difficult to appreciate just how much more accurate the JI one is compared to HT. I agree - having these "nitpicking" videos actually lowers the expectation slightly for anyone waiting on their handcrafted model, which can only be a good thing when you finally get your model, and are then subsequently blown away by it. I love seeing just how huge the model is when your hand gets close to it - a hugely impressive car. Just for reference - you mention the gap between the windshield and that centre bar - that gap actually exists on the screen cars! So it's screen accurate.
Jazzinc has to make a lot of improvements in it's quality control area. I ordered the Hot Toys because is way cheaper, sadly not exactly a 1/6 vehicule and not completely accurate in details.
While I appreciate this in-depth look at both vehicles I couldn't help but notice that after every single minor or major nitpick there is absolutely no doubt that the Hot Toys Batmobile is INFERIOR to Jazz Inc. Every single time you had both vehicles in the same shot it is clear that the Hot Toys version is closer to a toy than a true representation of the 89 Batmobile. If Jazz Inc. had never come along and released their version there would never have been a reason to compare it to anything else, cause there was no other Batmobile in this scale. But, Jazz Inc. is the new guy, with the higher price tag, so they will be scrutinized even more than Hot Toys. I think if Jazz Inc. had released their Batmobile first (same price tag) and then Hot Toys released their Batmobile (same price tag) then I think we would be looking at this situation differently. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to go over both vehicles but there's no doubt which is the definitive 1/6th scale 89 Batmobile.
Nope it's not superior. The body is fucked. No excuses. Sick of all the gaslighting from you fan boys. Joost could bang your wife and you'd still invite him back over for dinner. You got screwed over just like the rest of us. Stop being a JazzInc cheering Muppet.
@@Libertycustom73 Don't be daft - a $750 Hot Toys model doesn't get a pass just because the JazzInc is even more expensive - the HT flaws and inaccuracies are just as relevant.
Whoa the light gap hell no my car would went back to auto body. Manjoost need better act checks in china where there mass producing these. I don’t know what this says for his new catwoman figure coming. Man
The dents in the body wouldn't be so noticeable if not for the sheer amount of them all over the body. That's what gets me. Because there are so many, it makes it to where whatever angle your viewing the car from, you see one or more. That is really what ruins the piece for me, personally.
I am really sick of all the other people claiming their 89s are perfect. People are absolute bullshitters. The body is horrendous for this amount of money. Later batches are bad as well with dents.
Well into batches sent out now and defects are still being delivered. Warped gun covers, scuffs, scratches and dents continue. Yes he does love this less. Hes gaslighting.
Want to hear something funny? This company that intentionally, made, sent out and painted a Batmobile covered in dents, is now making every effort to convince people to vote them collectible company of the year. You can't make this shit up! They just don't get it. Trying to fail up like they are doing is hilarious.

@@aarongrove4744you are whacked. Not for this price. Good luck trying to paint it. You can't even take it apart.
You were smart to cancel. Resell value will tank and you will likely be able to get one far cheaper, not that you would want one at this point.

Did you have to polish after wet sanding? Does that make some parts look more shiny than others.
@vspectra maybe a bit shinier.. but mine is in low light.. not a big deal..
Great job on all three videos. Appreciate you taking the time to make these.

What is with those dents all over the rear of the front fender at 17:45
Injection mold sinks. They completely warped the front wheel well at that timestamp you mentioned.
