Yes the work they put in for Checkmate station is stunning. Can't wait to see Ruin station when it arrives. They've treated these stations as landing zones.
5:09 Dingy elevator door opening to somebody on the floor zonked out of their mind in just some random hangar they stumbled into is definitely a particular aesthetic vibe. PS: As far as "why would ppl choose to live in those nasty stations instead of on the planets," that's just kind of not how poverty works. Presumably most of the "civilians" living on the ruined stations in Pyro are there not by choice, but circumstance, stuck, and can't afford to leave, and/or have nowhere else to go, and in most cases are "under the protection" of the local gang who probably won't think twice about just shooting in the head any random civilians that try to skirt their protection racket and can't fight back/have no muscle to resist. In those circumstances, joining the gang is really the only viable "exit," besides just accepting your circumstances and living in squalor behind the Seanut stand you sell out of and have to keep an eye on to prevent all your Seanuts from being stolen out of, etc.
For the gangs, there’s probably an element of power projection. Being in space already means you can more easily and cheaply send raids into neighboring systems. Plus, the stations were probably the largest pieces of infrastructure and housing that were abandoned when the mining corporations left. Pirates aren’t often skilled in construction.

the complaint about CMEs seems a little strange, imo. Pyro is dangerous and if things like the environment is dangerous or annoying as you say, you can always choose to do content in-doors or remain in Stanton. CMEs offer emergent gameplay opportunities (players getting downed, players crashing, players needing repairs, etc) and require that players plan ahead and account for the hostilities of the environment, as well as other players and i, for one, welcome it and more. if CIG were to change CMEs to anything, i would hope that if they make them less frequent say once an hour or so, that they make them 3 times as dangerous, make them down players from full health without being inside buildings or having radiation suits on, drastically increase the damage to ships and force players to re-route all power and batteries to engines in the hopes of starting them up again before crashing, due to the damage taken during the CME's EMP and maybe even starting fires if players have any power on in the ships when the CMEs strike.

I'm not good at combat and don't plan to be. Solo mode in E:D comes to mind, obviously.
It may not be a thing, PvE-only server. The game wasn't meant for PvE only, sometimes they wanna add a little more danger into the mix. Also, it's not really that hard to avoid the PvPers altogether, but I see what you mean.

3:51 right when I'm eating 😩
Nice video, great game...
8:30 Am I the only one who see that scence and think about that moment in when The Mandalorian seeks for some reparations in his ship ??
Hell yessssss :D KEEEN
Can't wait to play this game when it releases in 2033
Will never fully release, all the backers will die of old age and the funding will dry up

Pyro is really cool
I missed todays test as I fell asleep and was not expecting to get in then i check my launcher and ther it is. xD
That was your corsair? I was wondering who owned it. I found it parked in the oval landing bay at a settlement
Should be happy to not have spawned at Patch City. The servers i got on had groups killing people right out the habs
let me innnnnnnnnnn
Maybe biggeyt Game ever v
In VR in some Years.. rly hope this.
Didn't they say that you get a warning before solarflares happen, like 10 mins or so? And they say that you can take shelter, behind planets or asteroids. On the night side you should be safe.
Maybe they are a bit often, but they are part of the system. I am really curious how it all works out.
Pyro is just future Dogtown from Cyberpunk
hope they release the full pyro asap
🤣 Bugs included? I mean the ones you eat! 😄
Yeaaah no
Yeah no. Let them bug fix a bit more so its actually an enjoyable experience instead of a headache inducing one.
If past updates around this time are any indication, we'll get pyro the week before Christmas and the teams go on holiday break
@@darkknight097 Pyro isn't this year regardless, 3.22 is this years end patch and they updated what will be in it
@@vamperic Imagine saying it isn't here when it's here for people to test, the very people who backed the game
Id say liquid metal core.. so volcanos spew metal. When storms and solarstorms pelt the planet.. they grind the rock away.. leaving the metal spikes standing.. because of the less hard but mallable surface of the metal.. that dont splinter.
Reminds me of Omega in Mass Effect 2 .
You should add your pc specs in the description. Might give people an idea of the cost to play this game fluidly.
@@cellchaos8406what are your detail setting, resolution and fps?
@@cellchaos8406 Thanks! :) I haven't played SC for a long while now ... upgraded my rig since to a comparable config to yours. I have a 4k screen though and Star Citizen doesn't support upscaling, yet. Maybe have to force FSR or so to get good framerates with my 3090 at 4k.
@@cellchaos8406 You should be able to max all the settings out. I've got a 3070Ti and a 12th gen i7, I have everything maxed apart from clouds which are on med and for the most part I'm over 60 FPS. I only really get stutters or drops going in or coming out of quantum and around planetary stations I drop to around 40FPS but that still feels pretty fluid for me. While I'm in space I usually hover at around 90-100FPS Also playing at 2560x1440.
it is sickkkkkk
WE MAKING IT OUT OF 13 FPS WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥
So, has the FS9 round count been nerfed from 120 to 75 OR is it about to get an increase?
I remember everyone was saying no Pyro this year.. I hope CIG does the same thing and deliver all the new Citizencon tech in 12 months or less.. including server meshing
CIG has learned to stop speculating for the most part.
But the community still does it. But flames CIG for it when they get it wrong.
I called pyro. Even how it would be released, in a separate server since server meshing wasn’t ready weeks before citcon.
Was laughed at and downvoted to oblivion on Reddit.
@@BGIANAKy You shouldn't have gotten the flak for it. But thats what happens when speculation from us comes out. Imagine what CIG gets.
I think you were right to guess that.
Now if you get specific about the word "release" as so many do, or throw it around willy nillly more so. I'm confused about its use at this point.
I don't believe CIG will "release" Pyro to the live, without server meshing.
But its CIG, so who knows.
Pyro being playable right before IAE looks like good marketing to me.
those stations look straight out of the expanse, in a way. Just kinda screams beltalowda
Pyro VI will have a breathable but slightly toxic atmosphere too
They need to prioritize stability, performance, A.I and actually finishing the game systems before updating the lighting, or making tanks
Different dev skills for different reasons.
The engineering and networking team is going to be a different team than the AI, lighting, and vehicle teams. They could just layoff all the teams not related to performance and stability though.
Then bring them back when its stable to add more content to break it again.
26 stations? Hmm considering how samey the Stanton ones are I don’t think that’s a good thing. Need more planet big landmarks.
You missed the part where you went to bay 4 instead of the hanger 🤣
the thing i dont get about the pyro checkmate station is that it is in such direpair and so destroyed how is it even livable like all the cracks and parts mission surely it wouldn't be able to be breathable or pressurized so how people even live there is crazy
Interesting you had multiple CMEs. I played for 3.5 hours and never got to see one :-(
