Just saw these guys 2 days ago. Literally maybe 75 people on the place. Didn't matter they played like it was 75000 people. Full energy 14 song set. Much respect from the psycho in the front row
Kudos Brotherman....I have seen AC/DC FTATR, Black Sabbath Mob Rules, Rush Power Windows...etc, etc....I have never seen Sponge live but from this video they take the cake
I love these guys!! They're in it for the love of it, and not the money. I was twenty-three when this song came out, and no shit I swear I played that whole fucking tape a million times!! It fit into my life, and my lifestyle at the time like a hand in glove. The world was so different then, and things were soooo different then. Makes me sad now to think that this kind of music is no longer being made. Music sucks nowadays!!
God this is awesome. This song reminds me of driving home late night after a beer bust party with my dear friends the summer we graduated. Amazing times.
What a great band , Saw them at The Gorge in Washington State in front of 23,000 fans. Neil Young and Crazy Horse headlined. This was in 98 , also Patti Smith on the bill with Peter Buck of R E M on guitar. What a night!!!!
Un showman realmente, buena voz en vivo cosa q muchos en estudio consiguen pero en vivo decepcionan.Saludos de Argentina.Sponge es de esas bandas q no sonaron mucho pero cuando sonaron te marcaron
Dude is so Scott Weiland. Wow. Amazing. I met these guys in Kansas City in like 2007. Lead singer was sweet. I was blown away this band played this song. I didn't know the name of the band. The bass player told me you will know us when u here our hit. Man did I. Great song.
I saw them In Phoenix Arizona. Well actually it might have been Tempe, or Mesa. I remember buying a baseball cap, with the bands name on it. I still have it to this Day. I only had the one CD Rotting Pinata. I wore that CD out. I never took it out of my CD player. Love them so much. One my favorite song is "Its raining in my house" As I have a leak in my house in my bedroom for 20 years. I think of them and the song.!!
seven deftone core was released in 92 and purple sometime in 94. Sponge’s first I want to say later 94 they put out rotting piñata. He wasn’t before STP got big at all. Sponge is a great band live and the singer has great style. Caught em at lollapalooza 94 and twice over the years with zero complaints. I think Vinnie and Scott had some similarities but def two different singers altogether. Just my half a penny
I don't think he's ever had an off performance. Caught them twice for the rotting pinata tour. Absolutely the best frontman ever! He hasn't missed a beat. I bet they blew Art and the other bands off the stage. Vinnie is God!
I love you big crowd, crazy about Sponge band ....big it up now. Thanks for the music you make ...it's in my head and soul in pieces but I recover after a few drinks and a spliffffffff!!!!Rock&roll will never die young ...said that star in the sky to me today.
I was 24/25 when this song dropped and I started spinning it on a Music ride I operated at a local amusement park... here I am age 51 and still enjoying the fuck out of it
Great stuff!! Especially when Vinny goes into the crowd. With the way things are with the world, it's good to see shit like this. I seen clips where he does this and good on him I say!
This song is the anthem of my life. I escaped the bottom of the barrel and doing great! Thanks for the inspiration. The 19 year old tryna to act like my boss at work. Lmao I'm educated and gettin ready to bounce! Amen, Lord❤ glad I'm not gonna have to deal with u much longer.
With Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell, and Chris Whitley gone, this is one of the last great voices of the 90s left.
Vinnie is awesome
The singer of Paw had a great voice also
@@AdamF89 dude everyone sleeps on how fucking great paw was.
Eddie Vedder!
Damb dude. You listen to a very limited collection of music if this is one your last remaining great vocalists of the 90s
Just saw these guys 2 days ago. Literally maybe 75 people on the place. Didn't matter they played like it was 75000 people. Full energy 14 song set. Much respect from the psycho in the front row
Where at? Are they on tour??????
In a small club in MA.
Saw them in '97 in milwaukee at new rock fest. Best show of the whole day.
WAIT.... Sponge is touring??? Oh my goodness!
Great band, very under rated. Man I miss the 90s
Who underrated them???
yup
Kudos Brotherman....I have seen AC/DC FTATR, Black Sabbath Mob Rules, Rush Power Windows...etc, etc....I have never seen Sponge live but from this video they take the cake
Saw them in 1995 for 15 bucks.
Played at SUNY Albany with Our Lady Piece or Live, can’t remember which in 95 for 10 bucks (college probably trimmed the cost a bit
Man...I can't get enough of Plowed. .. One of my favorit tracks with very good lyrics...
Me too. It's the anthem of my struggles and triumph in life
Molly 16 candles also kicks ass too
I’m in the same situation .. listening to this song since the 90’s.. From Chile 🇨🇱🤘🏼
What a live performance. The crowd was eating it up. That’s how rock should be.
Man the 90's had some kick ass music. These guys are great!!!!
I love the 90’s and this is a bad ass performance
Saw Sponge at Kentucky Kingdom with seven mary three, spin doctors, and Gin blossoms. They totally kicked ass.
I saw the same lineup in Columbus Ohio.. it was great
This band is my nineties soundtrack... ❤❤❤
2020 and I still love this song 🔥
Probably one the greatest bands to come out of the 90's. Dang this performance was awesome!
I agree Vinny looks really good and his voice sounds excellent still
I've seen thousands of concerts. No bullshit. Sponge puts on the best live show I've ever seen.
MAN... If that doesn't get your blood pumping you might not have a pulse!
That Rocked!
One of the most unrrated bands of 90s
Agreed
I saw them at a little club in Colorado springs in 1996. Amazing.
They sounded awesome, what a great live version. This song always deserved to be cranked. Rotting Pinata one of my favorite 90s CDs.
It gets emotional towards the end when he goes into the audience to finish the song off because those words to this song are so so true!
Well spoken. So True !!
@@jbygodd Thank you 😎👌
The spirit of this masterpiece is simple.... Pure GRUNGE. Greetings from La Paz-Bolivia.
I love these guys!! They're in it for the love of it, and not the money. I was twenty-three when this song came out, and no shit I swear I played that whole fucking tape a million times!! So good! This song is such a snapshot of that time❤
Love his confidence and no audience fright, just go with what you know is the solid truth, that makes it all the more possible ;)
The gentleman in blue, around 3:10 , with the glasses and collared shirt. He's singing back hard.
All the props to him.
I actually walked into a Tower Records and bought this CD back in the day 😎
God this is awesome. This song reminds me of driving home late night after a beer bust party with my dear friends the summer we graduated. Amazing times.
Saw them at the Whiskey A Go Go fpr their first cd. Really great band.
Vinnie will never lose his badass singing voice
What a great band , Saw them at The Gorge in Washington State in front of 23,000 fans. Neil Young and Crazy Horse headlined. This was in 98 , also Patti Smith on the bill with Peter Buck of R E M on guitar. What a night!!!!
The Gorge and Red Rocks are the best venues to see a show in the US imo
F Neil young
Seen Vinnie and Scott both live, 2 of my favorite bands and favorite musicians. Sponge-Stone Temple Pilots. Wish could of seen em together...
VINNIE VOICE AND ENERGY HAS ALWAYS AMAZED ME!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😍😎
Vin still sounds great
Dude is still looking like a rocker lmfao
I think one of their best songs was "Rainin' in my house" on that album..........what a world that drags me through every time I listen to that song.
I listened to Rotting pinata for the first time in its whole last night, and cant believe how 'AiC' Pennywheels sounds, badass first track
A amazing performance by new Sponge line-up.... Vinnie did a magical moment in the end of show!
Un showman realmente, buena voz en vivo cosa q muchos en estudio consiguen pero en vivo decepcionan.Saludos de Argentina.Sponge es de esas bandas q no sonaron mucho pero cuando sonaron te marcaron

It's no secret that he's Weiland wannabe

Absolutely epic band.
One of My
First shows in 1995 at Tower Records in Philly on South Street
I saw you guys at Transplants in Palmdale this year. I had my daughters with me and they love you guys as much as I do!
saw sponge in orlando fl in 96 with the toadies at the edge, man they killed it!!
I see what you did there, and it's BEAUTIFUL. 🙏🙏
Why Sponge wasn't the biggest fucking band on the planet is STILL a complete mystery to me... 💯💯💯
16 candles down the drain!!!!!!!
The singer reminds me of Scott Weiland
Uriel Perez same
Me too, but his stage presence & crowd connection reminds me of Bon Scott.
He was before Scott got popular
seven deftone core was released in 92 and purple sometime in 94. Sponge’s first I want to say later 94 they put out rotting piñata.
He wasn’t before STP got big at all. Sponge is a great band live and the singer has great style. Caught em at lollapalooza 94 and twice over the years with zero complaints.

Not one fucking cell phone out…..love it!
Sound guy deserves a raise. God I miss the 90's 😞
Insane CD Listen to it all the time.

Saw em at x fest in 95! Awesome
What a great song
I don't think he's ever had an off performance. Caught them twice for the rotting pinata tour. Absolutely the best frontman ever! He hasn't missed a beat. I bet they blew Art and the other bands off the stage. Vinnie is God!

It’s like Scott weiland, perry Ferrell and Adam Sandler had a baby!
Takes me back, love this song!
Vinnie aging well! Looks and sounds great
Great sound quality on this live version. The best I’ve found on RUclips!
I was 24/25 when this song dropped and I started spinning it on a Music ride I operated at a local amusement park... here I am age 51 and still enjoying the fuck out of it
We are waiting for you in Lima-Peru

Just saw them in St. Louis and sounded even better than 20 years ago 💖💖
I pity the fools who had to follow THAT!
Great stuff!! Especially when Vinny goes into the crowd. With the way things are with the world, it's good to see shit like this. I seen clips where he does this and good on him I say!
💯
Sounds just like the actual song.
So awesome!
That sounded incredible!
That hat is bad ass!
Love it! I see everyone in the crowd is around my age. 42. 😌
Love this song but I miss the rasp in his voice when they do it live
That shit damages the voice, it gets harder and harder to do as you age too.
The voice...👌
This was awesome! They're touring with Everclear this summer!
Man that looks like a really narrow walkway that he's standing on when he goes into the crowd
I think it was a rail on a barrier. He was hanging on to that guy's hand for dear life. Great live performance.
AWESOME
This Fucking rocked! Yeah!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome live!!
Good song
damn!!! Good performance!
Como eu nunca tinha visto essa performance? Do caralho!
Awesome ending
SPONGE rocks!!!
