This is one of the best explanations I've seen on artwork files. So many people tend to overcomplicate things. This is simple and to the point! Good stuff!
Thank you! Explains why my Printful garments colours looked washed out and dull. I thought it was because its a black hoodie instead of a white one. Will try changing to CMYK and use pdf instead of PNG file and see how I go.
You said that you can get rid of the background of your tiff and pdf files on your printing software for the Ricoh RI1000? How? & Which software are you using?
The files need to be converted to a format the DTG printer can read and execute. So YES you will additional software which comes with the DTG printer. It is really easy to use.
Great video!! Can you help me to clarify one of the biggest request that I have with my customers? Why does the ink comes out when I wash the black/color shirt? I am using the right kind of primer and letting it dry correctly, but after 1 or 2 times washing the t-shirt the ink starts comming off from the fabric...

Hello! this was such an informative video, so extremely helpful. I just have one question. JPEG's you said always have a background, but it can still be used if you want to print the design without the background if you're printer has the ability to remove it. My question is, does the Ricoh 2000 have that ability? Also, that unwanted background can also be removed in photoshop.. if so, will the design print out without one? So what i am asking clearly lol is.. I understood when you said that, that regardless of removing the background in photoshop, unless its removed in the printer software, JPEG images will always print with a background. is that correct? thanks again!
Hey Guillermo. Good morning sir, I'm very impressive and interested. Because it is very easy and helpful. May I please have a tutorial aspect on how to install my DTG EPSON L800 SERIES. thanks alot sir...
I keep having issues I am able to print correctly with black shirts but my white shirts come out faded and low in colors. I can send a picture to you if possible any information is greatly appreciated.
Actually your missing a big issue, cmyk color from RGB colors fade on black which always make a dull faded print - Bright green comes out dull green , how do you fix this?
The issue you're describing is a common challenge when converting RGB colors to CMYK for print, especially when dealing with vibrant or neon colors. We recommend looking into the following: 1. Use a Larger Color Gamut 2. Select Pantone or Spot Colors 3. Adjust the Design for CMYK 4. Use a Professional Design Software
Hello, and thanks for watching, do not get frustrated this video is meant to give help to those looking for advice on getting better quality on their designs and prints with our DTG machine. make sure you export the design to the file type required by your equipment.
Wow thank you so much I completely understand now lol...you were talkin about diff in designing it ourselves and what we may receive 🤦🏽♀️👌🏽 very helpful now that I understand
300+ppi was a standard minimum. I also like to work in vector files when possible. another reason to dislike JPEG is lossy saving format, not just the incapability of transparency
Most printers do not directly print from the open file (.psd or .psb) which is the photoshop's native format. Therefore it is better to export the file in a printer friendly format and photoshop is capable of doing it.

Resolution is different than pixel count, at least as far as I have always known. The DPI (dots per inch) tells you your resolution, because even is it is 3000x1200 pixels but at 72dpi it won't print as well as one at 300dpi. Sounds like he has his terminology mixed up.
Hi so this video is a basic rundown about images and what to look for in your files. DPI is the dots per image for an image printed by a printer and PPI refers to the image on a computer monitor. The term DPI is a method to determine the print size of an image on paper, or in this case garments. Pixels refer to the quality and detail of the image itself. If you chose an image from the internet with low resolution (PPI) the print quality will not be good even if the DPI is high. The image will appear pixelated like shown in the video. Thanks for watching!
I have been explaining this to clients for the past 30 years. Great job. ❤️👍

You can only save it as a PNG or TIFF file!
