Very entertaining. We have been running an M2 DTG for 2 years. We love it. Great quality and we are not having to charge our customers a setup fee per color. $15 is way too low. We dont charge below $20. We have mastered the no cracking and with some trial and error we have our pretreat measurements down. There is a learning curve, as with anything.
How do you not get it to crack? And how long is it taking you to make a shirt on average? Also which printer do you have? if you dont mind answering these
My man, I make about 40 shirts per day on an Epson f2160 and it takes me 2 - 2.5 hours. I have worked hard to refine the process and I don't pretreat shirts the day before because I feel like the ink fades on the shirt quicker if you do. There is definitely space to make a small to medium sized business work in the day and this climate. I was thinking about making some content about it myself, just not sure if people are interested in that kinda thing.
@@JV-fj7nv THIS sounds like realistic figures with this machine. a single operator 20/25 an hour easily. while something is being pretreating, something is being cured in the heat press, something is being printed in the Epson. be like chef in the kitchen :)

The printer was a bit complicated to hook up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

great vid! I've owned a screen printing business for 14 years now. Youve nailed the pros and cons dtg. Im waiting for the tech to evolve more before on jump on board.
Great stuff! I used to use the big POD vendors--Printful and CustomCat. However, I just got tired of a combination of bad quality due to low or no QC, excessive delays due to Covid-19 (understandable to a degree) and lack of customization options. I got tired of hearing, but, they print thousands of orders a day so there are bound to be some bad one that slip through. My reply, well my customer don't know that and don't care to know that. I only order a few and the failure rate seems to be much higher. I'm small, so I just can't justify buying large equipment and doing it myself. What I ended up doing is researching and partnering with a couple of local vendors to do my DTG and my embroidery. They physically look at every output, so, there's a great chance that errors are found before they are shipped. I order my blank from wholesale vendors. That's working out great for me so far. Add to that, I have a lot more flexibility as well as being able to talk with them in person/over the phone to brainstorm ideas and address any potential issues. I suspect that it will get crazy around the holidays as it usually do. That means that a lot of the big boys will have issues, delays, etc. At the end of the day, you have to be flexible and keep moving forward, making whatever changes you need to make to be successful! I wish everyone much continued success!
Yo Reyes....my cousin just purchased a Ricoh i2000 dtg. He was doing vinyl and sublimation and barely knows much about that. His he in for a rude awaking? Supposedly the i2000 doesn't have all the crazy maintenance other machines have.
love you Reyes... you saved me thousands of dollars.. and everybody else.. was gonna sell my card to start it out but did not know all the sides of it but now thank you
One thing I miss here is (and I am no expert so don't judge) but can you not use the DTG machine for other things too? Like for printing on things like phone cases. Sounds like potentially that would reduce the steps and improve your ROI (not just cases but just diversifying in general).
Hey bro thanks for all ur help . So I'm trying to start with my t shirt brand . What do u Recommend on software to make logos for T shirts and also what material Do you recommend for a heat press paper?
You should do a review on chroma last.not many people know about but if you do sublimation on whites and lights only.its a game changer because it's for cotton clothes.look into it reyes.
Mr. Reyes, a quick question. What would be the best machine to start a t-shirt and sweater business but for 100% cotton. Also that it is a machine for all colors including black and white. Y si DTF es mejor que DTG? Thanks
I really want DTG to work. Maybe it’s still an early stage, considering this technology has only began a year or two ago. Second or third generation DTG printers are coming and hopefully for the better.
You should do a video on white toner printers like the uninet icolor550. I just got mine and love that i can do full color images on dark cotton shirts now. I still got to mess around with the higher quality transfers to see what the true potential of this printer but it seems good so far.
Thanks for the great content. This is what people tune into your channel for. You give honest and straight up opinions on what you try to do. Keep it up. I will catch you in your next video. lol
Not being in the shirt business I took note that you said 20 to 50 orders per day. Work that out that it takes ten minutes per shirt. I can imagine that since you are working with three machines the process allows for some work flow to overlap your time on the machines. But 250 shirt per day, you would need to charge a hefty set up fee to compensate for the expense.

You should make a video of how much a Chair and table rental makes, uber driver, restaurant business
The demand isnt there for shirts to be honest :P to live in LA is expensive as well just a heads up
I heard you can't print black ink very well on these so it's hard to do a photo that does not look faded, can you comment on that?
😂I love finding ppl like you on RUclips, very helpful videos bro 😎
Hey you said shirts cost you $3 ? Where did you buy from? Can you please share. The name of place you bought from online or in store or where?
www.dtgmart.com/product-category/blanks/garments/t-shirts/
love you Reyes... you saved me thousands of dollars.. and everybody else.. was gonna sell my card to start it out but did not know all the sides of it but now thank you
Well Done & "I only look illegal", hilarious.
brutally honest, really enjoyed your video and your personality. Good luck with your future!
One thing I miss here is (and I am no expert so don't judge) but can you not use the DTG machine for other things too? Like for printing on things like phone cases. Sounds like potentially that would reduce the steps and improve your ROI (not just cases but just diversifying in general).
Deadass was contemplating DTG and Screen printing yesterday. Thank you
Hey bro thanks for all ur help .
I meant chromablast.
Mr. Reyes, a quick question. What would be the best machine to start a t-shirt and sweater business but for 100% cotton. Also that it is a machine for all colors including black and white. Y si DTF es mejor que DTG?
Thanks
What is a easier way to print multi-color logos on a shirt without the white box around the picture ?
I really want DTG to work. Maybe it’s still an early stage, considering this technology has only began a year or two ago. Second or third generation DTG printers are coming and hopefully for the better.
Oh snap Reyes is coming here . It’s lit!
Great vid bro. Appreciate your time energy and efforts.
You should do a video on white toner printers like the uninet icolor550. I just got mine and love that i can do full color images on dark cotton shirts now. I still got to mess around with the higher quality transfers to see what the true potential of this printer but it seems good so far.
He is watch it's gonna be that one or th oki printer watch
Thanks for the great content. This is what people tune into your channel for. You give honest and straight up opinions on what you try to do. Keep it up. I will catch you in your next video. lol
You could use a dtg pressing machine to iron your shirt though!
Oh it prints directly to garment ! That’s cool ! So is it raised or do u not feel it
It may be good for us to meet. I will soon be investing in printing in various mediums. If you have a 3-5 page Executive summery of your business vision I would like to see it.
Your channel is pretty cool. Always something fun to watch and learn from. So, this other company that hit you up with half the steps and cost...was it iColor dye sub laser printer?
where is that video for the new printer u got Reyes ?
yes! where is the review of the printer u mentioned at the end?!
Reyes in your opinion which is better- the Freejet or the IColor DTG printer?
Hi Reyes have you done a review on the Roland B12 DTG
BUT REYES!!! What about the plancha!!! Lol just messing with you thanks for all the info. Still debating on what move I should make for a small business thanks for all your info and sharing your experience
Love your videos bro, you're the reason I started my channel to help others, you are my inspiration and the reason I didn't give up when I wasn't getting any attention lol.
