      I'll add that 21 is worth more than whatever the point value is because its the start of the 2nd round and teams will go hard and pay over for the player they want. So 15 will get traded but I don't think 21 will be part of the deal.

    Pretty confident Saints take 2 mids, would be very surprised if we passed up Smillie & O’Sullivan if available.. Also lots of words of Trainor sliding to the mid teens, had quite a few concussions, seems possible to go at Nth’s 2nd pick in your scenario.

      @@wayno845 This draft is far too deep and even to remotely even consider 6 and 9/10 for 2 lmao. 2-6 are all so close, and the idea is North wants to trade down as they don't need a mid - thus getting the player they want (key position), while sliding up 7 places on their following pick.

    Great draft again Jesse! Love your content. I personally think Freo will target a forward-half player like Hutton, Haynes or Berry with one of their first rounders. They definitely need to add another key forward as they just delisted Taberner and Kuek, and Corbett retired. However, given the top-end quality we have, I can see this being a later pick. As a result, I can see us targeting Allan or Travaglia for some half-back run and carry with out first pick.

    If St Kilda (given the degree of flexibility) doesn’t get another pick inside the too ten, the AFL are overseeing a strategy to undermine a club which has won only one premiership in 152 years. If that’s not blatant discrimination - I don’t know what is !!!

    FINALLY!!! A well weighted trade of North trading pick 2 in mutually beneficial deal.
    Pick 2 and 22 for 6 and 15 is my dream for North to make. Think we could ask for another later 3rd pick/future pick back in say a future 3rd or 4th though, as pick 2 has quite alot of value for just that little bit more. In terms of a done deal though mate, that's a solid trade.
    - Smith and Langford screams so much sense for Richmond.
    - WC making the Ashcroft bid is perfect! MAKE CLUBS PAY!!!
    - Lalor is a good fit for your eagles too. Really polish and agile as a draftee which fits what you can build.
    - Armstrong is the perfect fit for North. With Darling coming across it just makes drafting a forward all the more valuable as we have time to develop and build Armstrong without putting too much pressure on him for 2yrs.
    - Travaglia makes ALOT of sense for Carlton too as Saad isn't getting younger and he'd be a perfect fit for the Blues when he calls it time.
    - Berry to North is perfect! North have been screaming for a pure small forward for years and Berry fits that build on the money.
    If either of Bo Allen or Alix Tauru were available, then I'm sure North would target them ahead of Berry. Simply because North has River Stevens a F/S coming through and he is a pure small forward too.
    Another thing to consider is that IMO North are in for a real chance of getting Matt Owies, so IF they land Owies than Cooper Hynes or Jonty Faull are definitely in contention for landing at North.
    All in all mate that's a VERY SOLID mock draft. Suits needs perfectly for clubs and everyone is winning out remarkably well.

      @@thecentrebounce Houston I think we should pass on. He'd be a handy inclusion, though the cost to get him would be too great IMO. Plus North has been on record by various people such as Clarko, Viney and Rawlings saying they won't compromise our standings in the next few drafts.

    • @thecentrebounce
      @thecentrebounce 9 дней назад

      @ShadowLight-kn7rl and yet were on record saying we'd give up our future first for him. Larkey, zurhaar and a fee others will be in their 3ps before we know it. Need to start to look to bring in good players around their age group and less 18yr olds.

    • @ShadowLight-kn7rl
      @ShadowLight-kn7rl 9 дней назад

      @@thecentrebounce Houston for the future 1st round pick. Tbh that looked like nothing but postering on North's part. We put the offer out there and Port knock it back demanding two 1st round picks as the starting price.
      Far too much IMO. For all the manoeuvring we'd have to do to get that deal done and not compromise our draft hands we'd be better off bringing in the talent.
      Houston is also a HB Defender. Granted he's great at that role, but we brought in Fisher to do just that. If we bring in Houston we make the Fisher deal wasteful as we gave up a 1st round pick as part if that deal too.
      Houston certainly isn't a need. Parker on the other hand is a different kettle of fish and should be our priority target for the recruitment team.

    • @thecentrebounce
      @thecentrebounce 9 дней назад

      @ShadowLight-kn7rl fisher is a flop and needs to he delisted. Houston is a backline general and the reason why port aren't making the GF.
      If the trade does go through it'll be our fiture first to port and them trading it for a first this year to whoever will take it.
      Carlton would be giving up something like pick 11 and ours could be similar and we'd be offering more $$ to houston.

    As an Essendon fan getting access to Smillie would be the absolute best case scenario for us, I have him number 1 on my draft board personally just based on what his attributes are and the impact he would have on the balance of the list. Guys like O'Sulivan, Reid, Smith etc might be higher rated players and more developed and consistent at this stage of their careers and if any of those guys slid to us instead of Smillie we'd have to pick them, but if I was in charge of the list and Essendon had pick 1 I'd be taking Smillie all day.

    Finn O'Sullivan at 8 would be a dream. I could definitely see Saints taking two mids and scooping up FOS and Smillie here they would compliment each other and two types of young mids we don't currently have. Trainor unfortunately i think ruled himself out of a St Kilda selection with his recent concussion isssues. We are still recovering from Paddy Mccartin on that 2014 Pick 1.

    Hard disagree on the Carlton pick. Running half back with potential in the midfield is the last thing we need.
    Small forward or Key Back are our needs at the moment

    i genuinely think because Shai had a relatively good year considering our ladder position and also with the amount of time left on his contract we should nab pick 9 and 10, id accept 9, 17 and future 2nd for Shai and maybe a later pick but id prefer pick 9 and 10 for Shai and future 2nd or something or if baker decides to go to Freo I'd really like pick 9, 10 and a future 1st for Shai, Baker and a future 2nd or 3rd, its probably not gonna happen but i can only hope lol

    So Essendon would have Merrett, Caldwell, Hobbs, Setterfield, Tsatas, Shiel, Durham, Smilie, Parrish, Perkins all for the same roles. That’s 10 guys. For a team with zero decent small forwards I’d be staggered if they ended up getting a midfielder with their pick.
