Great to have a personal view from this couple. I have stayed in Punta de Mita for a mth at a time. It's my favourite beach. PV is too busy for me. The only thing is the prices have gone up so much just for renting for the winter mths especially for a solo retired person.
Wow. 20 years. I did buy an existing home and currently doing some required repairs before the rainy season and enhancing my rooftop terrace. The noise and dust I can tolerate for a few months to be able to enjoy it all in the near future.
At 20 years in the making, this home is definitely a labour of love! This style of “Behind the MX Door” is a great compliment to previous videos. Keep up the great work Paul 👏
Paul, you should be proud of the production quality of this video. You're extremely talented. Beautiful couple and a great story. Thank you for sharing.
I love this video! Looking forward to more like it. I can relate a lot to this couple’s experience. We’ve been building our home in central Mexico for 10 years, also “Mexican style” (my husband is Mexican). When we bought the property, it had a large one room casita made of adobe + concrete blocks, a precarious loft, and a dirt floor. It also had a bathroom with a beautiful, deep, hand-made stone tub, which I love. We started by strengthening the walls and adding more windows, building a solid loft, and pouring a concrete floor. Over the years we’ve added on, and we now have a total of 4 BR, 5 washrooms finished, with another bedroom/washroom in the “obra negra/gris” stage. We have beautiful 2nd and 3rd floor terraces, which I use every day when I’m there. I still call it our “casita” even though it’s become more of a “casona”! We have had some of the work done while we are in Canada (or while my husband’s in Mexico and I’m in Canada), and yes, sometimes things don’t turn out quite as envisioned. But overall, we love our Mexican home. My husband’s already retired, I have just 23 months to go, and yes, I’m counting.
Great video Paul, your solo productions are always spot on. What a pleasant and inspirational couple, talk about chill ! It would be interesting to learn more about Punta de Mita. It seems to fly under the radar. I know the relocation process was a bit uncomfortable, to say the least.
So glad he mentioned the misleading news headlines to get attention. Been going to PV for 13 years now, and never have I ever felt unsafe, you need to use common sense no matter where you are or travel too.
Beautiful story, a true inspiration to live life without regrets. What time of day was that? The beach in bucerias at the end during your commentary was so calm and tranquil.
Great job Paul! I love it when people share how they got to where they are today. I like that they shared the challenges and real issues that one can encounter - but yet encouraging 🙂
Enjoyed this video, would love to see more like this showing the chosen properties with the owners backstories. Also, great production values. Well done.
Thanks, Paul, what a great intro to those of us on the fence about the "move". My wife and I will be in Puerto Vallarta for much of February on vacation. We really want to get to Bucerias and check out all Dani, Joel and family, and yourself have been sharing these last couple of years. Gracias.
Great video. It’s nice to see and hear people already enjoying their life in Mexico and how they achieve their dram. Thanks Paul and thanks to the couple sharing their wonderful story with us. Beautiful house, and cute dog!
Well done Paul! Is that a 360 cam you were using on the beach? I enjoyed hearing about their home construction experience, but I wouldn't have the patience to be my own contractor. I would leave that up to an expert like Joel!! Take care amigo!
You're right, I noticed afterwards too. I might have been too nervous and enthusiastic at the same time. Off camera my wife is the leader, especially in her home country.😁
@@MABOart I can confirm. I would add that I could have done a better job as an interviewer. I could have followed up with Marbella after each response from Matthias.

Thank you William! Punta de Mita is definitely worth checking out. It has more of a sleepy fishing / surfing village vibe.
So glad he mentioned the misleading news headlines to get attention. Been going to PV for 13 years now, and never have I ever felt unsafe, you need to use common sense no matter where you are or travel too.

Only one thing I would change … music / background music needed a little Mexican flair . But totally love the video. ❤

I wonder how much it cost to build a home like they built ?
Good question.
It is hard to get builders to commit to specific dates
This is true.
Very nice home but the stairs and different levels may be an issue as they grow older?
Thanks for watching!

Great video..but you need to give your wife an opportunity to speak. Every time she went to say something you spoke over her.
