I've been looking for inspiration to go forward learning to play the Hurdy Gurdy and I have found it in your playing! Thanks for posting your videos, I'll be watching them all!
Ok master!!! I began hurdy gurdy after a big "Page and Plant" concert in Toulouse (FR), No quarter tour with you, i think around 1996. I was with my rock friends, to listen Rock music and you plaid this incredible Gurdy solo, for me a real revelation... Often i think about this moment, the first love with this creasy instrument, THANX A LOT MASTER NIGEL
Most excellent gurdy playing Mr. Eaton! Wish I could've seen you on one of your tours before you left the music industry and started a built-in furniture business. I wish you the best of luck!
Ah dont know if you remember me Nigel, I met you in paris 98 when you were with Loreena, I translated for you all, and I talked to you on the way out of the venue. And your greatest line was, "Hey man, Im just a guy from Southampton". And you never heard the pink floyd reference to that town. Love your stuff man.
so this one is french tuning, d melody strings in octaves, d trompette and d drone with an a mouche, the green one has g melody strings and is therefore a bit mellower in tone
