This is my brother Nigel... He's always been a superstar in our family. I've never actually seen this concert and nice to see him doing some more tricks with the drone - well done Nige x
You are lucky to have Nigel as Brother , he Is a Genius and I love him since Panic at the Cafè. Could you ask him the name of the bourree played in this video? All the best
This instrument can only be truly appreciated in real life. I remember being a teenager and having a friend take me to the Page Plant tour featuring the hurry gurdy. I remember it seemed as though the arena may come in on us. It was a strange sensation to have such an unassuming instrument vibrate a place as large as the one we watched the show in. Still one of the most memorable shows I ever saw.
Saw this in concert on the page and plant tour. best concert ever, it was a spiritual journey. the hurdy gurdy solo was one of the highlights...the way they had it miked the sound thundered through the arena...you could feel the vibrations in your chest... incredible!
This was one of the most amazing live shows I ever got to see! Live at fiddlers green Denver 1995! My first concert and a mind blowing experience. They had and Egyptian drumming band, Nigel Eaton on the Hurdy Gurdy, and the Denver symphony orchestra and of coarse Plant and Page. Just amazing to see live!
Holy SHIT! This is one of the most incredible musical performances I've ever seen! Had NO idea a hurdy-gurdy could be played like that! (Page & Plant aren't bad either!)
I seen this tour, seven rows from the front. I was making eye-contact with Robert Plant! T'was an amazing gig, and Nigel's Hurdy-gurdy was a definite highlight. I think ot was actually the last gig of the tour, ghere were some shenanigans. Robert Plant tirned sround in the mid-song to see the Drummer wearing a bunny suit, nearly lost it, laughing!
Imagine being high as fuck and they bring out the guy with the medieval wheel instrument hooked up to the speakers around the stadium. 😳 Truly enchanting.

I also saw that tour, best show I’ve seen and I’ve seen all that matters
Amazing instrument, magical sounds with the gods Page & Plant a memorable show!!🎸👏👏🔥🔥😍😍
I roadied for Page and Plant in the mid 90s, when they came to Glasgow. I can remember this being a real stand out number. What a cracking instrument.
Great instrument for this great song!
Liar
I love this!!! I could watch it over and over!!!
Nigel Eaton is a legend.
Saw Page & Plant with Nigel Eaton live in Boston

Antropología musical y teatral. Artistas geniales!!!
Jimmy plays a hurdy-gurdy in TSRTS when his eyes go all red.
I love 💕 this video 📸
Me too!!!
Jeez I play guitar ,Mandolin and Melodeon and was considering getting a Hurdy Gurdy -Plan cancelled after seeing this-Amazing
Interesting that Jimmy Page played the guitar on Donovans Hurdy Gurdy man many decades earlier
Amazing !!!!!
I'm sure Jonsey would of had no problem playing it.
They played this better in the 90's than they did back on led zep 2 I think...
rocked us to euphoria at the Tacoma Dome!
AMAZING
OMG YES
This should have way more views!
Michael Lee on drums.....He personally brought Zeppelin back from the dead in the 90s....amazing drummer.....😎
The Cult featured him before P & P discovered him
Nice Guy. Good Player. May he RIP. AWFUL For Zeppelin Music. Charlie Jones, Plant's son-in-law at the time, was an equally poor choice on bass guitar.
@@SopranoPizzaJMFNJtotally agree. All arms, no feet. So no swing, no groove. Not sexy, ”souly” or funky at all.
@@joakimkarlsson8995 I like Michael Lee but he has too much Punk/Metal energy for Zep tunes IMO.
I saw them at Birmingham NEC on this tour. It certainly was an experience.
I was there too!! It was epic!
@@cotswoldlad9413 And me and my brother, we still talk about it now, nearly 25 years later :-)
Ohhhhhhh😮 but what a beautiful instrument the hurdy gurdy in full action
🤘
Hurdy-Gurdy solo with a heavy metal band, with an intro by Robert Plant. Can’t top that one.
Fuck me sideways! How fantastic was that??
Love the hurtty gritty
🥁🥁🥁 R tight👍
Speechless.
Love hurdy gurdy Jake Walton trad master but he doesn't quite crank like this one. bravo
I remember Jake from years ago. He was good.
レッドツェッペリンの正式な再結成コンサートは2007年の1回きりか
ロバートプラントはともかくジミーペイジがステージでギターを演奏することはもう無さそう
Muito tri.
це у нього ліра чи шо?
exotic alls
I can buy a Virtual Hurdy-Gurdy for $15. So cool !
