The composite view with the POV inset into the bumper cam is great - better sense of the speed being carried. I sometimes forget how good 209 can be if you catch it right. Keep the excellent videos coming!
We don’t typically endorse addiction, but in this case - the cure is to drive all the roads and get the tee shirt! Thanks for the great comment! No - we don’t have a tee shirt, but maybe we should?
@@trueview3127 I’m more than happy to share what I know after you goal is to explore and find the best roads how are you supposed to do that if people aren’t willing to share what they know
Thank you for adding an additional camera view! I've seen so many driving vids and yours are so quality. That one with the "pedal cam" on the right side messes with my brain every time as it almost seems like the vehicle is right hand drive!
Glad you were finally able to hit this road! It’s my all time favorite. Though NC 215 is pretty awesome too. AND, they just repaved 215 last week! I just drove 209 both ways yesterday between Lake Junaluska and Hot Springs in the MT 992 C2S Cab with a stop at the Rocky Bluff campground for a hike and a swim in Spring Creek. I love the 55 mph speed limit. Even in a P-car it’s hard to go that fast for most of the road’s length. The lower section with the straights and sweepers is a lot of fun.
@@trueview3127 Well, it’s only the lower portion heading down to US 276 from the turnoff at 1111. So I guess that’s only some of it. The southbound lane is complete and the northbound lane about halfway done for that section. It should be completed any day now. The completed southbound lane is silky smooth though there’s still a bit of leftover gravel here and there. Thankful for PPF. I’m not sure if they’re going to repave the rest of the road or not.
If you haven't already, try to drive the Pisgah Highway connected to the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Pisgah summit, NC-151. Steep switchbacks for miles descending the mountain, a real rollercoaster. Perfect pavement.
Yeah Guys, one of my favorite roads down there! For some reason, I find it to be more fun driving north - maybe because of the nice arrival point in Hot Springs. Which, BTW, is where The Vintage BMW gathering is held every May. So I've taken the old 2002 up through there many times. I also love that 2 mile stretch that's straight as a die in the valley - I can usually get the old '02 up to top speed down in there! Question: do you guys live in this part of the country? I'm from Central PA and I try to get down there 4 times a year, once in each season. I feel pretty blessed to have found so many of these great roads!
We actually have some NOBO footage which you might see on a Full Drive video soon. The weather wasn’t as good that day - so SOBO made the cut. We are in DE, MD, VA, PA and GA. Love the Smokys too!
Perfect machine to enjoy all that California has to offer! Miata's have a really nice balance, and with the right tires (lower grip levels) - you can even enjoy the car around town without breaking any speed limits.
@@trueview3127 Thanks man. I will be doing sway bars soon. The factory suspension has way too much roll. Once it's out of warranty I'd love to do an ls swap.
We are running Micheline PS4S tires mostly, so Summer performance street tires. We've also tried several other brands, but never anything more - how about you - what do you suggest? What works for you?

In this video - just a valve controller - stock exhaust otherwise. The cqr now has a Soul Resonated OAP. So, you will hear that in future videos. There are a couple on the channel testing the difference between the exhausts.
why not keep the scale on the ratings all out of 10? doesn't make sense to not have them normalized (totally nitpicking though and i love what you're doing here!) please keep the videos coming 🙌
Appreciate the feedback! We did that initially which made categories that we felt were relatively less important to the experience more powerful statistically than we wanted them to be. About four videos ago - we adjusted so several categories are out of 5 vs 10.
Good catch. RUclips lets you run tests on which thumbnails is working best. That was a choice we wanted to try - but it isn’t working as well as the other two.
This video has the best soundtrack ever made. Flat Six heaven.
Love that ICE music! Thanks for watching and commenting!
