The J.K Rowling Hogwarts Game controversy thing going on right now is wild. I personally will not play the game due to her unfortunate stances which I do not agree with at all, but I also don't condone harassing those who do play the game.
Also go Lebron James!

Hey Everyone! Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments!
If you haven't seen my community post (most likely meaning you aren't subscribed..... Yeah I see you), I have midterms this month, and am super busy right now. There is a good chance that I won't be able to upload anything else until the last week of this month. Sooooo, yeah.
Also, I have started rewatching Amphibia, this time, with my younger brother. It's going pretty well so far, maybe a video that isn't on The Owl House coming "soon"
How do you think the show will end?
I also think the Gus knowing that Hunter was a grimwalker thing should’ve been a longer scene. Idk they made such a big deal about him being scared about his friends knowing just to brush the whole thing off
Same
We might get more in the next episode.
@@dylansharp8471 Nope.
@@dylansharp8471 what a grand and intoxicating innocence
My problem with this episode is that at the end of the day, it feels like a season 2 episode, or a late season 1 episode. There are stakes, but not NEARLY enough. Kikimora and Boscha's prominent roles makes the episode feel almost unimportant, and things like the misunderstanding trope make the episode feel like it was from season 1, before the writing had really found its footing.
When I watched Thanks to Them, I put aside all fears that the finale wouldn't stick the landing.
When I watched For the Future, those fears returned.
At this point, I need to incorporate some faith that the final episode will work, because I can't assume it anymore.
Yep!
Thanks To Them was such a banger introduction to season 3. But I feel that the writers were forced to put the "main conflict stuff" in the final episode, and hence this was the result.
Willow’s character development was cool but I wished that it was brought up earlier in the show instead of in the 2nd to last episode
Precisely! It just felt very rushed.
I think that’s the same problem with Boscha’s role in the episode as well
@@fragilesnowz Maybe if Disney didn't shorten it.
We had the perfect chance to bring this up in Any Sport in a Storm, but that episode got wasted on more Hunter set up.
@@howardyates4848 I think that episode would work best if they just cut Lumity and Hunter from the episode all together and insert Boscha
I agree with this video. I think if the episode could have gotten one more rewrite, I would have liked for some of these things to happen.
I think if the episode started immediately with the Hexside gang going to the Owl House, it would give more time for the rest of the episode.
They would get attacked at the Owl House when the Collector arrives to play with King, and Luz gets captured by the Collector, who gets persuaded by King to not turn her into a puppet.
Without Luz, Camila and the kids get brought to Hexside by the Hexside kids, who along with the CATTS, the Coven Heads, and some other characters, are hiding out at Hexside, where Camila would learn to see why Luz loves the isles so much. They would also learn about what the Collector did to the isles via a flashback.
Luz would be brought back to the “Owl Beast”’s chamber, where she would reunite with Eda. They would start to develop a plan to save Kign and stop the Collector.
Camila and the kids would then hitch a ride to the Archives by getting aboard the Collector’s spies invisibly, but Raine would get turned into a puppet in saving them. Raine would later get possessed by Belos, who saw this, and hitched a ride onto them.
At the Archives, the gang would split up, with Amity and Camila reuniting with Luz, having to get past Odalia, who would try to apprehend them to win the Collector’s favor, and Gus, Willow, and Hunter, would have their arc in some twisted playground the collector made.
Luz, surround by Eda, Camila, and Amity, would have her realization and get her palisman, before meeting up with the others, before the Collector arrives, having been warned by Belos Raine that they were trying to cheat, and the episode would end.
I would have honestly cut Boscha and Kikimora out of this, and have had Kikimora just run off, not wanting anything to do with anyone anymore. If you want to read a good fic where Boscha gets decent in chacracter closure, and Kiki too, I would recommend reading Obabscribbler’s fan fictions, Grom Knight, and Retribution.
Some good ideas!
That is a so much better plotline than what we got.
@@anxurious4307 Thank you. I felt while the special itself was good, it had some parts that felt rushed and others that felt like they dragged on. I personally feel Dana and her team did a good job considering Disney screwed them over, but given how Thanks To Them was really good, I do have hope for the final special. Dana seems to really have learned how to not repeat mistakes that have plagued other shows, like how love plots are drafted out or how characters are unnecessarily redeemed (What happened to Boscha wasn’t necessarily a redemption, but more Amity convincing her to let them try and stop the Collector)
The end of season 2 already gave all that finale feel with these specials just wrapping everything up. For those of you that have seen Doctor Who, that’s how it was with the end of season 4 and the following specials that ended the RTD era of that show.
I agree. King's tide was *amazing*
Great Videos!! You have a good taste on bg music 👀
Ive felt the same about For The Future, where it did so much stuff right but dragged out too much in Hexside, where it could spent more time with the characters feelings in the owl house
But at the same time, I feel this episode is some sort of set up for the next episode, which explains why they couldnt do too much here
Thank you!
If I'm being honest not a single part of that episode made me feel anything I was mostly just bored. Especially with the whole “New Hexside” thing. The episode could've been executed way better and it felt like they were trying to solve problems that we already figured out or watering the real problems in front of us. Like Willow gaining her independence from Boscha or Kikimora wanting to kill Luz. They should have put their focus on things that would help us in the finale. Like Caleb and Belos’s history, Willow taking the time to work her feelings out completely, what's going on with the puppets, how Belos’s power works, and why he needs new bodies, and much more that could've all been resolved if they didn't “waste” the episode on things that will not matter. But again, that's just me personally.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Personally, the Willow sequence could have worked, but it was *severely* rushed, and the New Hexside sequence could have been done better.
I like the idea of figuring out how Belos's power works. Maybe he still has palismen powers?
Same here! The Hexside scenes took SO MUCH away time from what was suppose to build up the grand finale, did we seriously need to know more, feel bad or give a hoot about Boscha?? (And Kiki for that matter too, she literally reminds me of Bluebird from SU Future, did we really need to see the pathetic, annoying, wannabe villian?). The only scenes that grabbed at me was seeing Caleb and the Collector falling back to Belos' control, that's it.
def agree
Agreed who cares about boscha or Kiki for that matter
Then how should the Hexside stuff have been done in the episode in a way that still tries to give Boscha some sympathetic side?
Thanks To Them balanced perfectly time on different arcs, where For the Future made everything fast moving. But I'm mostly upset about Willow arc in this one, it doesn't sit right with me. I love her don't get me wrong but It felt a little weird seeing Hunter comforting her right away when she overshadowed his emotions while trying to comfort him, this scene should be mutual - him and Willow comforting each oder. Oh and don't get me started on Hexside arc, felt like filler to me! Episode was enjoyable but with few things that could be done better, sadly it's hard to fit everything in 45 minute episode. I just wish that emotions of characters weren't overshadowed every time something new happened
They weren't exactly overshadowed.
"it doesn't sit right with me"
Why?
Also, overshadow him emotions how?
@@dylansharp8471 Hunter was telling them how he doesn't know if he's okay or not, then Willow said how she always messes up (creating more conflict) that's not something okay to say while trying to comfort someone, that's how you overshadow emotions of other person making them feel guilty and drawing attention more to yourself. That's why I think they should comfort each other, not only Hunter comforting Willow
I like this video.
I feel that Kikimora and Boscha took too much time and could have been used for other stuff, such as Belos and The Collector fighting Luz, Amity, Willow, Hunter and Gus. Willow's feelings also shouldn't have been a main story of this.
I also wonder what might happen if Odalia stopped Belos.
You got a new sub!
I think if Kikimora and Boscha we’re gonna do what they did for season 3, they should’ve built it up within season 2
Then how should the Hexside stuff have been done in the episode in a way that still tries to give Boscha some sympathetic side?
And how should the Willow stuff have been done?
@@aertnadle2466 I think episodes such as Any Sport in a Storm, Labyrinth Runners and the remaining two episodes within season 2 would’ve left room for Boscha
I think for Wing it Like Witches, replace the epilogue montage with Boscha in the aftermath of the game
Then use Any Sport in a Storm to better develop her character and give her more context behind her reasoning of bullying
I know everyone will hate this, but I think Odalia could have the tiniest redemption by telling the collector about possessed raine
She will be redeemed but only if she makes out with one of Her childs.
No
Maybe she wil accidentally do that by yelling at bel-raine that they should have chosen her
@@OyasumiGalaxy There's a comic of Belos possessed by Odalia (Spoiler alert: It was an easy target).
Honestly that would sound cool. It does kinda feel like Odalia at this point has just become The Owl House’s punching bag lol. Like she’s a horrible person for what she’s done to her husband and kids but it slowly feels like The Owl House is just gonna use her as a punching bag instead of an actual plot point or character lol.
If they were gonna do this sort of thing with Boscha and Kikimora, they should’ve built up what they were gonna do within season 3, WITHIN SEASON 2 scattered in a span of a few episodes. For instance.
-Replace the montage epilogue with Boscha within the aftermath
-Have her play a little more of a role within Escape Expulsion
-Have her be a main part of Any Sport in a Storm, and cut the Lumity stuff altogether within that episode. This could when Kikimora meets Boscha and enlists her to help her
-Boscha could be an antagonist for Labyrinth Runners and the remaining 2 episodes of season 2
I think that would be able to better flesh out Boscha’s character and the whole of her being used to Kikimora’s dirty work and it would be able to make it more impactful. It could’ve also left room for interesting development to make people actually care. Plus, the motives for Kikimora and Boscha within the episode, should’ve been more morally grey rather than downright evil
Personally, I think with Hunter having too much screen time, it didn’t exactly help get the ball rolling fast enough.
Some good ideas!
@@fragilesnowz I felt like there were a ton of missed opportunities to better develop Boscha, Any Sport in a Storm and Labyrinth Runner especially
@@kmmk5022 I mean Labrinth Runners already had the Gus/Hunter plot and the Amity/Willow subplot, dunno if there is much room for more Boscha there.
@@aertnadle2466 What I’m saying is, they should’ve just cut Hunter from the story all together or reduce to a smaller role. Maybe a one off character, or make him an irredeemable yet tragic villain or something
@@kmmk5022 So, then would Boscha take Hunter's place in getting sent to Earth with the Hexsquad and getting romantically paired with Willow in the process?
I mean, Willow saying she misses her dads is probably a certain way of saying that she just wants to go home.
I agree Kikifloora should not have been the main villain this episode and about using the Collector spies better but I think the main villain's/ final battle should have been against Bill, Tarak, and the Titan Trappers it would work super well their reasoning could have been they kidnapped Boscha's mom's and used her to find out where Luz could be and find she goes to Hexside so they use her as a puppet leader in the hopes Luz returns so they can draw Luz in, capture her, and then use her to get King to surrender to them. And with them taking the villain role we could have seen Kiki working with Matt, and Co, finally being apresseated which is what she truly wanted in season 2. Boom that would fix half the problems the episode has, gives Boscha a reason to be a "ruler", makes Kiki a more likeable character, and the main villains make sense,
Pretty much just belos in the “right” section. Mans jusy refuses to be lame in any way shape or form
And Mantholomule

These first 2 episodes of season 3 have been really disappointing for me. I thought thanks to them was ok but I found for the future really forgettable. It's really sad because I thought season 2 in general was AMAZING. Hopefully a good finale will make up for it.
Thanks to Them imo was *really good* for opening and setting up the last 2 episodes.
But For The Future kind of squandered it.
It's not the writers fault. If Disney hadn't cut the third season, we could've gotten a much better storyline with all the time in the world! If this show has a bad finale, it will not be Dana's but Disney for not appreciating a good show when they had the chance.
@@keyairakinslow9598 Agreed. Dana and her crew are doing everything to make this finale land, unlike some other shows...
@@themandalorian9511 I still thought thanks to them was good, but for some reason I just find camila so annoying🤣 I know it’s kind of a strange reason to dislike the episode but there’s just something about her character that annoys me. But overall, I think thanks to them is pretty good.
Yeah I agree about the mood of the episode, it wasn't a penultimate episode that much, it was just the journey there, the only eventfull thing that happened to them was stringbean's hatching and they haven't met baine yet, and plus the villian of this "penultimate episode" was kikimora
TTT was more balanced I feel like, but with FTF ( while having great moments throughout ) is more frustrating with *those two characters* constantly getting our main protagonists way to get things done, especially… *Kiki Miki*
Also I do think Camila should have met more of the students of Hexside like “ *Hey Ed and Em, this is my girlfriends mom* “ or “ _Hey Luz’s mom, this is my boyfr- I mean friend Matt_ “
Yeah I agree with a lot of things said here. The whole thing with kikimora definitely wasn’t a strong point of the episode. however I don’t think there was much they could do for this one. They had to put a lot of time and effort into the 1st and 3rd episodes because one sets up the story and theme for the rest of the season and well the third episode is, the finale. So this episode was caught in the middle and not handled with the same care.
Still, it was really a bummer after seeing how well Thanks to Them was
@@fragilesnowz yeah
He's gonna Thanos snap everyone :)
*He is.... ineveitable*
Lol
I just wished it was more focused on the school than Kikimora and Boscha
What bothers me about this episode is that there is a very real possibility that the finale will feel overstuffed and do too many things at once, simply because this supposed "penultimate" episode chose to give the wrong things too much focus.
Seriously, who on the writing team thought that Boscha or Kikimora should get any focus beyond a few lines or a mention was a good idea? Because it was not.
There are many lore ideas or character arcs that could have gotten more attention or executed better in order to build suspense for the final episode. But instead it just feels like something that should be in late season 2.
And Luz's realization about wanting to be understood just... didn't feel right to me. I can't articulate why but it didn't feel right in the moment.
"There are many lore ideas or character arcs that could have gotten more attention or executed better in order to build suspense for the final episode"
That's probably what happens with executives decide to shorten a show.
"And Luz's realization about wanting to be understood just... didn't feel right to me. I can't articulate why but it didn't feel right in the moment"
WHAT?!! How?!
It was a nice moment between Luz and Camila, and started the path of Luz forgiving herself. Among other things.
So agree
Thank you!
Meh. I was in the episode. That’s enough for me.
🤣
@@fragilesnowz I didn’t think anyone would see this bruh 😂😂😂😂
In my opinion, it makes sense to make Kiki more of the villain in this episode. Think about it she’s greedy for power, and I’m pretty sure most of the other villains have been defeated, or returning the puppets by now.
Well, while it does make sense for her to *be* , I feel that she shouldn't have been the main focus of this episode.
Good video, don’t agree at 13:28 though. I really liked the fight.
Well, it was nicely animated, I just feel like it could have been more.
@@fragilesnowz I liked this episode but tbh who really cares about Kiki or BOSCHA like they took up most of the episode 😭
13:15 I think this might be hard to understand for people who aren't neurodivergent. Now I can't talk for people who have ADHD, like Luz, but this is actually something I wish for myself, even as an autistic adult.
I have autistic friends and all, and a big part of my family is neurodivergent, but I still feel like I'm being misunderstood. Some of it is because of some of my personal shortcomings, but I think it's just something a lot of neurodivergent people feel in general in a world catered to the needs of the neuromajority and the catering to the rest of us is just optional for whatever reason.
But then again, it might be like you said. Luz wanting her mom to understand her better. I think it's both to be honest.
This was very well put together. Thank you for sharing
Goose, oh and bellow :)
Ha! Thanks
To be honest I agree with all of you I did definitely like the episode the intro was pretty cool to show off of the collectors powers are pretty neat but the hexid part just felt very um shoehorned into the last-minute type thing and I’m probably gonna say something really clichéd but I feel like it would’ve been better if we had gotten more time if Disney didn’t cut the show short
10:43 Goose 😆
It was too funny to cut out.
I see you are a fellow undertale fan!
Yep! Amazing game
Commenting for algorithm boost!
Thank you!
To be honest I didn’t not care about Willow or hunter x Willow was not needed at all
What?
i agree
Nah all i felt in the last scene gave me Marvel and Addams family vibes.
For those of you that are blaming Disney for shortening the show itself, higher-ups may have done that, Dana and crew still could've made it worthwhile, as in focusing more on the main plots than unnecessary subplots, which includes doggone shipping.
lots of stuff had to cut short even if it was to your liking people would be upset either and say its rushed either way
@@scrinkle I don't care, I meant what I said. Besides, others think the same way.
