"I believe this is my 3rd reaction to Rolling Quartz"
As I imagine you realized soon after you filmed this, this is actually your 7th reaction to them. :-) When I mentioned in the intro that this is officially the 3rd single, I also made sure to say that not everything that you have reacted to they consider to be "singles." So that mean that you did more than 3 reactions to them. So, their cover of Maya's "Azalea" was not a single, nor did they count "Holler" as a single. "Higher", even though they did it as the theme song of a Korean reality show, wasn't considered to be a single either. So what I was saying was that out of the 6 reactions you have done before "Fearless," only 2 of them are considered to be official singles.
Also, your recollection of their sound is quite off, but no worries, I'll clear that up here! The 1st song you reacted to from them, "Blaze", which was their official debut single, is pure old-school Punk, not Pop at all. Your 4th reaction, "Nazababara", is their official 2nd single, and it's very poppy Pop Rock, although you mentioned it as more "Rock Pop."
It looks like you might have mixed up Rolling Quartz with another South Korean Rock band you've been reacting to, which is Day6, since they are the band that so far you have done 3 reactions to, where the 1st one ("Sweet Chaos") you considered to be more "Pop" than "Rock," the 2nd one "Shoot Me" which you really enjoyed had much more of the Rock sound, and the 3rd was "How Can I Say?" which you reacted to just last month and also enjoyed since it was also in the vein of the 2nd tune you heard. Your Day6 reactions:
    1st Day6 - Sweet Chaos: ruclips.net/video/u0i6OfywPy8/видео.html
    2nd Day6 - Shoot Me: ruclips.net/video/0XOPb0-EClg/видео.html
    3rd Day6 - How Can I Say: ruclips.net/video/OjihxME1ZLo/видео.html
Now, I agree with you about your talking of seeing an evolution and growth in Rolling Quartz's work. Out of their original songs (because many of their fans in America and in the West don't realize that several of the songs Rolling Quartz have done are actually covers of other South Korean Rock artists), this one is my favorite so far. I think Rolling Quartz really hit it out of the part with this one! So good across the board. And one of the main characteristics of this song is that it is absolutely mostly Hard Rock. Not only the chorus, but what is, in my opinion, the standout that took it to the next level were the lengthy dual guitar solos that Iree (Red head) and Hyun Jung (Blue hair) did in that middle section. I've gotta be honest, I was disappointed that you didn't bring up that middle section at all because I believe it was fantastic. I thought that it would've made an impression on you. And that's another section where I don't see how anyone can say it wasn't Hard Rock at all. Still though, this is so far the highest score you've given them so it did leave some kind of impression on you. "Fearless" by Rolling Quartz is great! I even see this as a tune that could reach across the other side and help pull in non-Rock people.
Rolling Quartz is a Punk/Hard Rock band at their core not a Pop group, and the majority of their work draws from one or both of these Rock subgenres. Their Pop Rock tune "Nazababara" was done to appeal to the mainstream South Korean public, who generally don't care for harder Rock sounds. Many South Korean Rock bands, whether Hard Rock or Metal, have to do some kind of Pop Rock tunes or Ballads to stay active in the South Korean music industry, as I mentioned in the intro to your reaction to "Nazababara."
I'm planning to introduce more South Korean bands to the channel in 2024. One Korean Rock band that deserves to be far better known is FTIsland. It's a shame that they aren't more recognized, as they should always be in the conversation about South Korean Rock but I really hope that changes. Maybe FTIsland debuting on your channel, David, will help change that!

A great band ... I respectfully disagree and think the score should have been higher just based upon the fact that they have come as far as they have in 3 short years. They were really the pioneers of K-Rock on an international level and are now even accepted in the land of pop - Korea. No small feat. I can also tell you that, even tho you can't see it here, they are a wonderful live act. I saw them twice in 2023. They start an EU tour in January. I think this is their best song to date.

It's K-Rock ... it has been around for a while now. The fact you think its weird is weird :p . This band was one of the pioneers to take the genre international.
