I'm 20% here for the cool enclosures, 80% for Ed and Emily being the cutest couple ever.
same!!!!!
Right? I love how they're clearly best friends.
so that leaves a total of 0% for the snakes ? how odd then
Same they are meant for each other ❤❤❤
Sammmmeeeee
The fact that Ed did research to make sure his build could plausibly fit into the Middle Earth canon is what really takes it to the next level for me.
I named my jumping spider Saenathra just to avoid the obvious Shelob. I'm a wanker. LOL
Had no idea Ed had such an artistic bone. His miniature painting, attention to detail, story line, and overall aesthetic of his enclosure is top tier
ok
I agree with you good job Ed
And you to Emily
@@Clara-dk8nxNo fue presidente funes
Emily made a Forbidden Forest Enclosure.
Ed made a Bag End enclosure.
Who won? Us. We, the viewers, won this contest. Both enclosures are amazing! I LOVED watching you two go toe-to-toe!
Toe-to-toe? I thought it was head-to-head????????
That is nice and good.
i love how much more comfy Ed has become infront of the camera
I was just thinking that. He’s come a LONG way.
I was thinking that too, a year or two ago he avoided the camera and hardly spoke
Yeah So Much
Yeah Ed was so shy before now he’s able to be on camera
I love how they both not only chose movies but also made the story that their tarantulas were direct relatives to the famous giant spiders in those franchises
Yea
It makes sense for them lol
Actually, the hobbit came from a book and so did Harry Potter not trying to be mean just trying to pointed out that out🎬📕
And yes I’m a potter head
@@milaroberts9463 that’s true for sure but I’m just referring to the fact that they used the movies as a basis for what it looks like as opposed to going to the books.
Very late but holy cow I'm so torn between the two awesomely designed enclosures. I can't choose cause they both look SO GOOD. Also a fan of both fandoms.
Ed is so caring for Emily gotta love them 💕
Okay, can we just talk about how amazing Ed’s enclosure is?
They both had. Good ideas but i like eds
No we can't
@@zackshadow4811 why not
In the last build off Ed’s was amazing too. I wonder if Ed doesn’t actually build and design enclosures as often as Emily and all of those thoughts and ideas come out as a huge burst of flashy concepts in one whereas Emily is thinking both in a more naturalistic way but also as a “formula” - x species, y habitat, z requirements, omega usual concept with add-ons.
could someone tell me how to spell eds kind of tarantula? I reaally liked how it looked ^^
Ed hands down took this. Expert story telling, awesome creativity, very nice use of color and subtle changes to the scene to paint a cool picture.
5:09 i see that ed has some experience with painting minis. looks absolutely amazing!!
Love them both so much but the cottageand little stone pathway and furniture gave ED THE WIN for this one! Emily Is an extremely extremely close second 😀
We need updates on how they web up their enclosures!! That would definitely make them look more amazing. You both did such an awesome job but I have to give this to Emily.
I don't know if we can really say, "Who has the best enclosure?", until the spiders do their art. You two have given them the canvas, but in reality they are the artists that will transform these little tableaus into the gems they will become. Your work is excellent! Show us the finished pieces in about a month. 😁
Yes please update us when it’s all webbed up.
i love hearing spider webs as their art
I agree then the enclosures will at there best points
shut up :you:
YES! We need a month-after update!
I have to put my vote with Emily. Ed's is AMAZING and I love the accurate 3D prints, but I'm a sucker for Harry Potter and I love how accurate hers is to the actual movie outcome. I gotta give it to her😊
ed and the shire completely sold it for me especially the description.
I think we have to wait to vote after they're webbed up. That'll be at their most effective. 🤩
Agreed!! Oh, actually, they should do some kind of tally now and see if the answers change once they’re both covered in webbing and the tarantulas have grown a little bit / settled in some
You’re right! How the spiders decorate them is the true test.
I love how Emily IMMEDIATELY dropped her phone as divine retribution for peeking at Ed's build.
fr karma really said no lol
Wow Ed! You’re a really fantastic artist! Your paint job was pretty realistic.
"Delapidated" is the word you were looking for Ed.
Please update us in a few months so we can see how they've 'decorated' their new homes!!
Been a couple years since we had an Emily and Ed build off, we need more hahaha

This might be my favorite video on RUclips…ever.
I love this so much.
I love Harry Potter, but I'm gonna have to go with Ed's enclosure. The tiny furniture got me. Love your videos!! ☺
I love Ed's face while he's telling his story. He's so happy and excited!
I did not know Ed had such a creative side!! I definitely see the artistry in the painted 3d objects! Good job, Ed and Emily!!!!
0:48 "it's all right, you can be wrong, it's fine" - Ed sounds like my wife 😂❤
I think Emily’s spider enclosure is really cool. She did a really great job with it.
I like Ed's Enclosure, so much texture and look. They are both amazing.
Honestly, gotta give it to Ed on this one. It’s amazing and I love how it all came together!
I love both enclosures, amazed at Ed's story just fantastic and the creativity of both is up to par with the best of the best, they transported me to those magical worlds so its a tie 🤩
These two builds almost make me want to get my own tarantula. Great work! I can’t decide which one is better. They’re both fantastic.
Both enclosures are so, SO good but I'll have to give this one to Ed! THE CREATIVITY! THE LORE!! YESSS!!!
Edit: That said, Emily used the available space much better! Ed's looks quite empty, probably less so once filled up with webs, but a tree wouldn't hurt :D
Could you guys do an update video where we can see what it looks like when they have settled in and have spun their webs everywhere? That would be so cool
Yesssssss

YASSS❤❤🎉🎉
Ed won! Just loved his Shire theme. I just wish we could see the enclosure after a few weeks when they are full of webs so we could see the full effect
At 15:31 Edd is really trying to sell us his enclosure 😂
Kewl enclosures for spiders. Ed edges Emily on this one for the win. Honestly is like 51% Ed, 49% Emily. Great Job Guys!
I think I'ma have to go with Ed's enclosure. I always love the look of overgrown forests and soft, springy moss. That kind of aesthetic is always really appealing to me though I do love Emily's spooky forest vibe, that one is really cool too
I thought Ed was going for how Bag End looked during the chapter "The Scouring of the Shire". In a sense he captured it perfectly, with enough branches to seem like the remains of the party tree (under which Bilbo's birthday was held) were left lying as it was in the book. The home itself was left disheveled and in ruins by the time Frodo and Company returned. It was restored in the end though.
That aside, Ed wins.
Yup, that's what I was gonna say! That's a book-fan vs movie-fan knowledge gap there, about the Scouring and how war isn't really ever over. The fighter may be done with the war, but the war is never done with the fighter... :(
I think right now Eds enclosure wins. It just looks like a miniature set, and all the colors and textures work really well together. But I think Emilys will really benefit from the spiderwebs, and look really cool once her spider settles in
I am running through videos after becoming a fan last year and just finished this one. Although both of these enclosures are amazing (my only tattoo so far is star wars/lotr/Harry potter) I have to give a ton of kudos to Ed on his backstory. That was amazing!
TARANTULAS WHATS NEXT AN ALLIGATOR!?. . .*remembers Rex* wait
What's next, a salt water croc?!
Thats what I was gonna say when I read yours im like (WHAT ABOUT REX)
DANG 27 MINUTES AGO AND MY COMMENT ALREADY HAS 34 LIKES?!
Those are incredible! I like how well Emily’s tarantula fits in with the theme, like the color coordination between the spider itself and the habitat is incredible! But the design and details of Ed’s enclosure are so freaking cool! Also all the detail in the story telling for Ed’s are awesome! Ed wins for me!
I love both these enclosures Emily’s tarantula really suits her build the blue coloring reminds me of basically the whole feel of that scene the tone was very blue and dark and damp
oh my! the story! as soon as I saw the hobbit door, I was disappointed, because it should have been Mordor, not the Shire! But then he took it in such an interesting direction... I love "what could have been"'s
Ed you literally made my day with the backstory of your enclosure, Ungoliant and Sauron would be so proud.
Both your enclosures look soooooo cool. I totally might steal some ideas. ;) Ed, if you'd like to know Shelob is referred to in the books as the "last child of Ungoliant" (the gigantic demon spider that killed the Two Trees of Valinor in the First Age), but it is widely accepted that she must have bred into local big spider populations to make particularly nasty breeds like the one encountered by Thorin and Co. in Mirkwood. So sibling: unlikely, descendant: totally possible. It even makes sense that that kind of spider would find the Shire to their liking after Sauron takes over due to the proximity to the Old Forest. If you feel like upgrading your enclosure in the future, you might add a Huorn on the left (aka a feral malicious Ent). Good job, both of you! :D
agree with the adding to the enclosure, but if the book refers to a "last child” doesn't mean only child.
I thought of Mirkwood too, when I realized Ed picked LOTR. If he added something charred, it would also add to the "burn, bite, slash" preferences of Sauron's army. But I am not sure if that is safe for tarantulas.
I love this comment! So much info!
I can't decide
They are both so pretty!
I still can't pick... it's like choosing your favorite child! Nice builds, guys!!
I like the color of Ed's enclosure over Emily's. Please post short updates on how they are doing after settling in. I want to see webs in Emily's enclosure
Ed's enclosure is absolutely epic and well made, so does Emily's enclosure, I can't decide they're both so good.
This is the video that made me realize Ed has big Lancer (as in the “five man band” trope role) energy and I’m loving it
You guys are the people who made me like snakes.
Ed's enclosure is so charming! The miniatures blend so well with all of the moss
Who knew Ed was such a good artist I'm honestly amazed and I'm not even at the full reveal just the painting part
I love both, super cool! My only thoughts are the substrates are not enough to burrow for green toed, and if the pink toe falls, it’s a tall fall. And LOTR Shire should have a hide 🙈
My vote goes to Emily! The printed background really gives it visual depth, like a scene you could step into. Besides that, though, I think it will be a more pleasing environment for the slider it will house. I also have a C. Versicolor, and I think mine would be very happy with all those branches and vertical space. I'm not familiar with GBTs, but I do have a stripe-knee tarantula. I think that at the very least, the GBT would want some sort of hide. I didn't see that the hobbit house had a doorway for the spider.
I love how each spider looks in their enclosures like their coloring coordinates perfectly
I love both of them but Ed's shows more of a story. I really love how he did the enclosure
I love the little lizard hooka on the wall for backpacks
Ed's enclosure is AMAZING! I love his.
I love how Emily went above and beyond for her enclosure. She used so many different ressources and I enjoy the "bland" forest, because it makes the spider pop so much more
Honestly I'm surprised by how awesome both builds are. They are so different and yet so on theme! I'm torned, but I give this one to Ed. His attention to details was impressive.
i can agree
Please don’t take this the wrong way but I just wanted to let you know it’s ‘torn’ instead of “torned”. I just wanted to tell you bc some people can be rude about spelling.
I was laughing my head off at the end of this video since they were still ‘arguing’ about who was going to win.😊😊😊
9:56 we not gonna talk about the two BINS of snake shed??? lol
I love the little fanfictions they wrote about their spiders! They sound so Wattpad, with the OCs being related to the bad guys and eventually taking over the world! I would totally read those, lol.
They both look incredible, but I absolutly love LOTR and The Hobbit so Ed has my vote. Shelob did actually have decendents, they are the spiders in Mirkwood (as seen in the hobbit).
I like Ed’s more but I think Emily’s is better for a spider to live in. But that’s so hard to even say that, they’re both so amazing. The story and imagination is so awesome
Both of you did amazing!
Emily’s accent has never come out so much as when she said root! I love it ❤
9:10
Yeah lol she said it "rut"
She wasn’t saying root she was referring to the stick and the little cavey thing
Her "Hewwy Poddah" is worse imho.
@@WrenRemm thanks!
They're both so good!! I love how Emily incorporated the branches and dead vines into the enclosure, and I'm sure over time, her's is going to shine the most when there's webbing. Buuut Ed's has such nice attention to detail and really captures the scene with the moss tying everything together. I'm gonna have to go with Ed! But both are amazing!!
Got to go with the color, Ed wins!!! Plus I'm a huge LOTR fan. I've had my copies of the LOTR series since the seventies, but had to buy new ones to keep the wear down on the old ones. Love this video!
Keep your pink toe PLENTY humid. I have found that makes all the difference with the South/Central American arborials. NEVER let them run out of drinking water! Less so the green bottle blues. They like a bit of dryness and are much hardier.
They're both amazing, but Ed's is just a little closer to my heart ❤
I love Ed's! I was very impressed with how creative the entire narrative he created was.
OMG Emily: as soon as you said "Aragog" I got goosebumps & i was like YEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
I gotta go with Ed's. I'm a total Lord of the Rings nerd, and the details are impeccable. Love it!
Just shows what a nerd I am, been watching your videos for less than a week, but first one I comment on involves lotr. 😂
Both enclosures look great and Emily's use of the forest background to tie in the theme is so clever. Ed's attention to details in his enclosure just takes it over the top though. Both will look awesome webbed up too. I will say that you may want to let your tarantulas grow out a bit before rehoming them into those fantastic enclosures. Slings can be more fragile than adults and can get stressed or have trouble finding their food in enclosures that are too large. As tempting as it is, and I get it, but they should have just enough ground space for three times their body length diagonally from toe to toe. 1" slings like you have shouldn't have more than 3 to 4 inches of ground space to be comfortable.
These were both so doggone creative. They both freak me out too. I think right now Ed’s wins but once Emily’s tarantula fills the top with webs hers will look creepier. So cool.
They have the best couple energy. I love the enclosures are! They look beautiful!
I really like both but I’m gonna go with Ed’s just because I’m more familiar with LOTR than Harry Potter. They turned out amazing though!
As an hardcore LOTR fan I have to go with Eds enclosure. Its absolutely awsome and his backstory is great.
Same, I literally have a custom handmade shire diorama next to me, I have to choose Eds.
So cool! I used to have arachnophobia, but thanks to slow exposure from your videos, I now am only mildly put off by spiders, and that's when they're actually close to me! Love you guys!
Ok, I am late but I reaalllly love both of them! I can't pick just one! Great job to you both!
This choice was soooo tough, but in the end, I have to go with the Shire! They are both absolutely phenomenal.
It's totally impossible to choose between these two! They are both amazing!
This video just makes me want to see Emily and/or Ed compete in the build off! Maybe they'd have it so they can't win, but we get to see how creative they can be
Petko with the dark den did a Forbidden Forest scene too! The car included!
I’m goi g with Emily’s because Harry Potter was and is still my life and once she said, the forbidden forest, I almost had a heart attack thinking about how Ron said , “ why does it be follow the spiders? Why can’t it be follow the butterflies” lol 😂
I love the creativity of both! It's so cute and wholesome you both picked excellent films, may both the tarantulas have very long and healthy lives!
I was sold on Ed's, but then seeing Emily's spider crawl onto the vines, they just fit so well in there! I worry Ed's will burrow and then decide "Yes, the pathway and everything shall be ruined and no one shall see the beautiful work Ed did..." vs "Look! Webs on the ceiling!" with Emily's!
Either way, I love them both so much! Y'all are precious!
I think Ed did a really good job with recreating the elements of the Hobbit house and I like all of the moss and the cobblestone walkway. But I preferred the focus of the more nature aspects of a forest in Emily's build, since all forests eventually go through a cycle where all the old trees start to fall down and decay. It's was nice to see a change from focusing so much on the greenness of life and growth, and replacing it with another aspect of the natural cycle of life.
I absolutely agree!
Well said 👏👏
Go ed❤😊
There's no comparing. I like them both
OMG the creativity!!!!!!!! Brilliant!
watching emily and ed nerd out together is so awesome
I love being able to watch other nerds on RUclips. Especially when they are snake nerds like me👏👏🐍🥸
Impossible to choose!! Both of the themes are nostalgic for me and both executed so well. Amazing job!! 🏆🏆
@J Wood understandably
Yes both win. Each one looks great.
So exited I used to just sit on the couch and watch you for hours I even got inspired and have a snake leopard geckos who's healthy and 4 salamands
Emily I love the idea and the vines it is really cool Ed I just love that you added the rocks on the floor for a footpath
Emily’s snow struggle made the video 10/10 😂
These are both super cool concepts for an enclosure! I was leaning the forbidden forest for most of the build, and the way the blues of the tarantula play with the blues of the laminated background is really neat. However, I just wasn't quite sold on the centaurs, they took away from the overall look for me. The Shire enclosure is colorful in just the right way, everything works really well together, and I think for me personally it's the winner!
Yeah, agreed on the centaur. I feel like Ed's theme ties with the 3d printed decor much more, so it works. While the centaur just kind of seem out of place a bit.
Also, the centaurs actively tried to avoid the parts of the forest that were Aragog's territory since Aragog and his children were basically unstoppable and unless you're Hagrid, going in those parts of the forest is basically death.
2:40 ooooo slide-y thing
I like both I think Emily's is more spider like and eds is like really cool
