  • Emirates is once more unhappy with the Boeing 777X and the persistent delays in certification and delivery that have affected the airline. Meanwhile, LOT Polish Airlines is adding three new Embraer E195-E2 from its fleet thanks to a lease agreement with Azorra. Next, JetBlue has announced plans to boost flying, add new routes and add more premium cities for the remainder of 2024.

Oh come on can you blame Emirates for taking out their frustration on Boeing? Boeing themselves did not keep their promise and why is that, because they were so busy worrying about Airbus overtaking them that they forgot how to make safe aircraft and now its coming back to bite them. We haven't heard the last of this, the more they delay fixing their issues the more frustration and vocal Emirates will be. Facts.

Clark was previously critical of Boeing for not giving them info about the 777Xs performance & consumption in testing. Seen an analyst's assessment that the A350-1000 will have better payload/range. The question now is how much is Emirates actually going to end up paying for these planes?

The patience of the Emirates chairman is being tested for a while now. Delays are common, but 4 to 6 years? That seems over the top. Boeing has to shape up. Before they know it Emirates might change course and cancel their 777 order and order the A350-1000. After all if you need aircraft you are better off with an aircraft with engines you might not be the greatest fan of than with no aircraft at all. And I am saying that while I think the 777X looks great, but I want to be able to experience it. Like Emirates I've been waiting far too long already.

I'm sure the 777-8F will be delivered before the 777-8, because Boeing needs to have a freighter plane in production after the 767-300F and 777F end production. Otherwise, the A350F will eat up sales quick.

the 777x looks too large for a two engined design..is this another bad airframe design like the max......this should never be certified until this issue is answered. Boeing is dead in the water if one more crash happens on any Boeing aircraft.....passengers or countries want batter designs from Boeing. Why has the 777x got strange jet placings like the failed max aircraft ? There is definite something really wrong at Boeing and its culture showing NO change whatsoever.
Unlike the max 777x needs a third engine due to its design size for safe operations over time.
Its another question whether Boeing is treating the 777x aircraft as with the max a distorted design which threatens safety for profit.

To be fair A380 has been brilliant for Emirates from introduction suppling great profits that have driven the company, if it hadn`t been for Covid19 then Emirates would be in a much better position. As it stands many more A380`s are being brought back into service & they will continue to drive company profits. I think his `bitching` is understandable given these huge delays with B777X, but he could have moved to mitigate this problem with an A350-1000 order which wasn`t forthcoming. Have no fear Emirates will continue to prosper regardless, like him or loath him Sir Tim is a genius in the airline business.
