I’m a Phillies fan, and I was watching the game with my dad and when the last pitch I was just hoping it would not drop and then we caught it and me and my dad went crazy
Not many expected this series to be played, as it was between the Mets, Dodgers and Braves that looked to be the teams going through. All three teams with over 100 wins and all three sitting home watching this. That's October baseball!
I’m a Padres fan who also grew up in Philadelphia. As much as I love San Diego, I also love Philly and the NE. I grew up listening and watching Phillies games with Kalas and Ashburn. What a time to be a Phillies fan. This makes our previous 11 years of suffering to be worth it. EDIT: For all those saying, "what suffering" or "11 years isn't long", we were one of the most mocked and made of teams in MLB for OVER A DECADE. And now you're suddenly pretending that we had nothing to complain about during this past decade. You can't have it both ways. Grow up.

So proud of our Phillies! The whole family are Phillies fans. My grandmother was a fan her entire life, those were "her Phillies", you would have thought she was a coach the way she would scream and hollar at the tv . When she passed in '08, they won the World Series, she would have been so happy, just like now she would be beside herself that they made it!! Love it! This game was right before my birthday, I celebrated with a Phillies cake! ❤️💙❤️
I was there man I was too young to remember 2007,2008,2009,2010, and 2011 I was crying my eyes out from the moment Harper hit the homerun till the final out. This means so much to me. Thank you Bryce Harper
Congratulations Phillies! A manager change in the middle of the season when 22-26! Least number of wins with 86 of all playoff teams! Winning the National League pennant! Nothing like David vs a Goliath in the World Series!
When they were 22 wins and 28/29 loses I told my friend that Fhillies team look damn good on paper if they can straight this thing up they have the personal to play deep into the playoffs. Guess what? World Series bound 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 (Cubs fan here) rolling with Schwarber/Castellano & Harper Goodluck next series Fhillies you guys deserve it ✊🏾
It’s so nice seeing all these fans of different teams give their respect to the Phillies. As a Phil’s fan it feels so good to finally have a good team to root for. Go phightens baby
Was rooting for SD but the Phillies deserve all the respect. SD did a great job this post season. I think Harper deserves a championship, though, Nationals won it all right after he got traded....he's dedicated his entire life to the game and it shows. Hope they can beat the Astros.... go Phillies!
When Harper originally signed that contract I thought the Phillies were nuts. This postseason though he is proving his value. One of the most clutch guys I’ve seen come up to bat in the postseason. It’s like he comes up every time saying I HAVE TO make something happen here, and he does.
As a Braves fan there are only a few teams that would make me root for the Phillies, but the Yankees and Astros are definitely two of them. Having three NL East teams win the WS in such a short time (and none of them being the Mets) would be cool to see. Plus, Harper is too good to not have a ring so we’ll see how it goes. Good luck Philly!
I believe if the Phillies did not make the playoffs your Braves would have been back in the World Series. Hey its hard to repeat. My Phillies was three games away from beating the Yankees in 2009. Hey your team won a ring and the division so its not like the Braves did not achieve anything this run.
@@hamhockbeans Yeah I just think they got burnt out from the division race with the Mets, I knew it was gone be a difficult task to repeat what we did last year but they tried that's all I can ask for and for us to get knocked out the playoffs by possible WS Champs im fine with it
Such an exciting series! Padres were right there, a few plays made the diff for each game, but each game was so close! Hats off to Phillies esp Bryce Harper. Dude came through big time!
When Rob Thompson took over as manager, the Phillies were 22-29. All hope looked lost once again. Now, they're in the World Series. Philly Rob has completely turned this franchise around. You could see the team start to blossom in June, July, and August. And while September was less than ideal, it wasn't enough to destroy the season like it used to. Now, in the postseason, with no more curses to worry about, the Phillies have become the world-beaters we all hoped them to be this year. This is a magical season. This is truly special. Padres, keep your chin up. Your team was excellent this year. You have a loveable group, and as long as Preller plays his cards right, you'll be back.
Who would have thought that we would make turnaround like that? When we fired Girardi, I didnt think much of the This team for the rest of the season. Boy am I glad I was wrong. Let's go Phillies!
Yo we're playing with house money. No one had us goin anywhere after the start we had with Girardi. This has been an incredible run. Our hitting core got hot and hopefully stay that way.
As a Phillies fan I’m glad it’s over, but as a baseball fan I’m kind of sad that the most entertaining series of the playoffs is over. Let’s do it again next year SD, that was an awesome series!!!
Athletes become big time players when they come up big time in big situations. Harper is now cemented as a big time player because that was the most clutch hit during a time where the team and our city needed him the most. And then Suarez coming in to close out the game. No matter what happens with my Phillies, I’m beyond proud of their accomplishments and heart this baseball season. One of the most magical stories that I’ve watched unfold right in front of my eyes. ❤❤❤. I love this team!! Go Phillies!!!
I'm proud that the padres made it to the NLCS taking down behemoths of teams along the way. Phillies pitching was clutch this series. Hoping to see a new generation of padres baseball taking off and not just a one off year.
Nothing but respect from this Phillies fan for the Padres and the fans. Those two games in Petco were insane and the Phillies had the lead like 70% of those two games, but the fans were never out of it for an inning. Super proud the Phillies were able to out last that great team!! I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if this is a repeat NLCS next year. These teams showed you SWAGGER accounts for more than anything and both these teams have tons of it.
Although I'm a Padres fan, I think Phillies have a pretty good chance of winning the WS. All of their batters are just firing up. Kyle Schwarber .400/.571/.1000 in NLCS, Bryce Harper .400/.400/.800, .222/.300/.899 for Hoskins, and foremost, Phillies Bullpen finally seems to be back on track!
11 years I've waited for moments like this for my phillies and i couldn't be more proud of these guys. Bryce harper is gonna go down as one of the greatest players to ever play for the city of philly. This team has outperformed expectations and gave us an absolute treat of a postseason run. i believe we can slaughter the astros but get back here a couple years from now and win another one. 2022 has been an amazing year for philly and all of our teams. lets go win the world series and party at broad street baby. go phillies!

Suarez is the best fielding pitcher in the National League and we needed him for that bunt. A cool customer.
The best
A little rain and some boys having fun playing baseball. What a game, what a run for Phillies.
Braves fan here. Congrats, Phillies! Hope y’all win it all!
Harpers reaction to the dugout , looked like sheer confidence. He knew he was hitting a homerun.
As a lifelong Phillies fan, this series was incredible! A fantastic group of resilient players that never gave up. This was a game for the ages! World Series bound!
the Phillies are going to the world series! NO way!!!
Damn bot seeing you every where you was rooting for niners and they got beat
And Eagles 6-0. Good time to be a Philadelphia fan.
y’all this is baseball not football
Yo
Yeah way!👍
Harper's epic HR is the stuff in which legends are made. The guy has ice water coursing through his veins. For him to hit that clutch HR in those conditions and with so much on the line is something truly special. The pitch before he hit the HR I told my grandson this is when you need your superstars to deliver.....BOOOOOM! Let's Go , Phils!
Love seeing my Phils in the WS again. I've got to see em play 3 in my lifetime. 1-2 when I been alive. Would love to see em win this year. Congrats to the Padres successful season. Both our teams went a lot further than people thought n we took out the best of the season to meet each other.
Chills. Lifelong Philadelphian living in LA the past 7 years... so proud of this team, if we play the way we've been playing all playoffs, we can beat anyone, LETS GO!
I’m a white sox fan but I was covered in goose bumps watching this. The crowd was just amazing
The Phillies deserve a salute for their play. I'll be pulling them in the WS.
My god that Harper home run. Just the absolute definition of clutch, couldn’t have written a movie script any better than that moment. Haven’t had that chill from sports since the 2017 Eagles
As a Braves fan I have to congratulate the city of Philly the energy from that crowd is electric I didn't think we'd have a problem with y'all and y'all were the better team the Dodgers are the best team imo but I'm not sure they even would have beat y'all btw Bryce Harper just solidified his Hall of Fame status! I'm not a Philly fan and even I felt chills when he hit that ball!
As a Dodgers fan I agree with you. The Phillies are the best team in the NL. They definitely earned their way. They are a very dangerous team and I won't be surprised if they win it all.
@@richr.7698 I am a Phillies fan and thank you for the kind words...but sadly I dont see them beating the Astros.
I'm a Dodger fan but much respect for these 2 teams. Especially to the Phillies who was the 6th seed in the NL in the postseason and earned their right to the WS. Hopefully they win it all. Make that WS Trophy stay in the NL and shock those Astros(which will obviously win the AL Pennant). Goes to show how much baseball is so fun watching come October and who wants it more win it all. Goodluck Phillies to the WS.🔥
Ha!
I will never forgive the astros, no matter how long. I will never be able to trust them again

Why even play the season.
I'm a life long Pirates fan and haven't seen a WS since 1979. Usually despised in the PA state rivalry, the Phillies have been my favorite this year. What a talented team...From Pittsburgh, Go get em Phils!
Braves fan here... Congrats Phillies Fans! You guys are the Braves last year. Now go win it!
That Bryce Harper homerun will go on in Philadelphia sports history for ages.

When the Phillies won against the Cardinals, I thought, okay, any team can get hot for two games, but they have been hot this entire post season. Helluva team! 0-:
I just really don’t know what to say. What a team and what a CLUTCH HR by Harper. And for the Padres they are also an incredible team and I can seem them back next year. Lets just see what happens next week. GO PHILS
So proud of my Phillies!
National League Champions!
I'll never get tired of watching this. I swear I could almost hear those cheers in Center City. Go Phillies!
As a Padres fan, congrats to the Phillies. I’m not even upset about how my team played. These games were close, and the Phillies were just slightly better. That’s playoff baseball. So proud of them for beating the Dodgers but the Phillies were hotter. Now go and beat Houston!
I’ll tell ya this Phillies team has got a lot of guts and are extremely resilient. They have a flair for the dramatic and it’s a lot of fun to watch. They will not be intimidated by the Astros or Yankees I can promise you that
Went to this game with my mom and her friend and it was an experience, it was cold and rainy but the energy of the crowd kept us warm and I don’t think I’ll experience something ever like this again
I’m a Phillies fan, and I was watching the game with my dad and when the last pitch I was just hoping it would not drop and then we caught it and me and my dad went crazy
From a Cubs man I congratulate the Phillies I hope you guys take it all
Not many expected this series to be played, as it was between the Mets, Dodgers and Braves that looked to be the teams going through. All three teams with over 100 wins and all three sitting home watching this. That's October baseball!
As a cardinals fan, I’m glad the Phillies went the distance and made it. Congrats to everyone on that team and Good Luck from Missouri!
I’m a Padres fan who also grew up in Philadelphia. As much as I love San Diego, I also love Philly and the NE. I grew up listening and watching Phillies games with Kalas and Ashburn. Became an Eagles fan. While I’m bummed that the Padres didn’t win, I’m happy for the Phillies and Philadelphia. Great team you guys have. You made clutch timely hitting and made the pitches when you had to. Clearly, the better team won. Go Phils, beat Houston!!!
I'm very sad as a Padres fan. But I'm glad that we had a great series and run. Thanks Phillies for this séries! And good luck in the WS against the astros
Gg
You being a padres fan , are you still wondering why Hader was not in at that situation.
The entire AL will be rooting for you Philly! No matter if it's the Astros or Yankees... TAKE 'EM OUT!!
Speak for yourself. I personally know a number of fans of various AL teams who will be rooting for the Astros if they get there.
It's going to be the Astros and don't count them out against the Phillies.

My 1st year actually learning baseball from stats 2 history and this series was good af
As a Dodgers fan I wish the Phillies the best of luck and win the World Series!!
Grow up.
And continues our long suffering
You call 11 years suffering??? This is how you get negative karma..

When they were 22 wins and 28/29 loses I told my friend that Fhillies team look damn good on paper if they can straight this thing up they have the personal to play deep into the playoffs. Was rooting for SD but the Phillies deserve all the respect. SD did a great job this post season. I think Harper deserves a championship, though, Nationals won it all right after he got traded....he's dedicated his entire life to the game and it shows. Hope they can beat the Astros.... go Phillies!
This Phillies run is beyond amazing. Keep defying the odds and win it all smashing expectations
I can't believe as a Mets fan i'm happy the Phils advance to the WS.Probably, because i'm also a National League Fan.
GL in Houston, Phils. You're gonna need it. Here's hoping you slay the beast.
Congrats to the Phillies, now we need the chip for us NL East team fans (braves fan) ‼️
I believe if the Phillies did not make the playoffs your Braves would have been back in the World Series. Hey its hard to repeat. My Phillies was three games away from beating the Yankees in 2009. Hey your team won a ring and the division so its not like the Braves did not achieve anything this run.

Congrats, Phils. I'm a Braves fan and they beat us fair and square, and pretty easily. They remind me a lot of us last year.
Such an exciting series! Padres were right there, a few plays made the diff for each game, but each game was so close! Hats off to Phillies esp Bryce Harper. Dude came through big time!
I've been a fan of Cleveland, Cincinnati & Philadelphia ever since I was child & I'm super happy to see the Phillies going to the World Series!
As a Philly fan who moved to San Diego this year, amazing series, Padres. You’ll be good again next season for sure. Nothing but respect.
Good series philly, we played well yall just played better. Hats off to you guys, well be rooting for you
Hey keep your head up. Remember both our teams were the bottom two wild card teams and scorched earth on the best teams in the NL to face each other.
Yeah and right now Joe Girardi is rolling over in his bed cussing at the TV screen. How dare they win without me.
Who would have thought that we would make turnaround like that? When we fired Girardi, I didnt think much of the This team for the rest of the season. Boy am I glad I was wrong. Let's go Phillies!
I believed in these boys after the 9 game (8 with Thompson) winning streak
Yo we're playing with house money. No one had us goin anywhere after the start we had with Girardi. This has been an incredible run. Our hitting core got hot and hopefully stay that way.
Girardi was so Over Rated.

Athletes become big time players when they come up big time in big situations. Harper is now cemented as a big time player because that was the most clutch hit during a time where the team and our city needed him the most. And then Suarez coming in to close out the game.
It’s gonna be tough for us.mouth unlike the Yankees the Phillies batters can work the count more, that should help a little
11 years I've waited for moments like this for my phillies and i couldn't be more proud of these guys. Bryce harper is gonna go down as one of the greatest players to ever play for the city of philly.
