Michael Chan no offense but... Brendon definitely doesn’t sing out of tune... Almost never. Every vocalist has bad moments but Brendon Urie is a master of the voice as far as pitch, tone, and technique goes. I’ve never heard him sing out of tune.
I don't know if it's that they can't or that they choose not to do certain things with their voices. Patrick does this soul melisma thing and sometimes allows his voice to sound broken and vulnerable. Brendon does the strident high pitched Freddie Mercury thing and the big band lounge singer thing. It's a reflection of their personalities. I prefer Patrick's voice even while acknowledging that Brendon is the better showman.
+Broken Heart it’s more hard for him to do that with the training he did, Patrick can hit low notes better and high notes well, but not as high as brendon. It’s weird I know
@@flourfacegerard1019 I'd actually like to hear how their voices blend considering their singing styles are so different. Actually, I wonder how Frank Iero and Patrick would sound together.

I think Brendon Urie has better control over his voice, so I'd have to vote him. I love the sound of Patrick's voice overall more though (at it's best)
brendon's four octave range is outstanding and his technique is flawless - especially when it comes to belting. the latter allows him to sing these skyhigh notes with this incredible ease without sounding tired or cracking. i LOVE his belts and never get tired of them!! he's even able to do (vocal fry) screams with a healthy technique. his color of voice and top-notch phrasing allows him to be an incredible emoter. i also appreciate his vocal creativity a lot. favorite vocal performance(s): climax of 'casual affair', that whole acoustic set back in 2011(?) with spencer, girar con me questta note (rare footage flying around here on yt), dream on, emperor's new clothes acoustic/studio, bohemian rhapsody, golden days, singerview 2016... what i love about patrick's vocals is his timbre (especially in the verses of 'thnks fr th mmrs' and 'mskwyditd'), i also like how his voice has this rasp at times, mostly present in the srar and soul punk eras. but the biggest reason is that, to me, there's so much comfort and emotion in general in his voice, like everytime i'm feeling low it lifts me up as if things definitely ARE gonna get better. to me, he sounds more soulful. when he sings he's like 'yo, i got a soul voice'. favorite vocal performance(s): basically every performance where he really gets to show off his soul voice e.g. climax of young & menace, stand by me, that 'what a catch, donnie'-performance where he sings the run in front of the bridge in head voice(if you're deep in, you'll know which one i mean lol) etc. due to the both of them being lyrical tenors, the both of them can really sound identical at times. just listen to the studio version of '20 dollar nose bleed' and try to find out who is who when they are singing at the same time. also, patrick aswell as brendon are able to sing in multiple genres which speaks for their versatility. their vocal stamina is on fleek and allows them to sustain notes for about 10-15 seconds. to conclude, i'd say brendon is the better singer technically and when it comes to vocal creativity. patrick's vocals are better when it comes to emotions and soul in general, but that isn't meant to neglect brendon's ability to emote, it's just that patrick's vocals touch me more, just a personal choice. i love both of them equally and they have a special place in my heart. ♡
They are both my favourite male vocalists ever, but I think generally Brendon does have a better range and control over his voice. Brendon is comparable to Elton john and many famous broadway stars in the way he sings, probably why he did kinky boots. Patrick however has one of the most unique and distinguishable voices ever. He truly does have a soul voice and an amazing edge and power in it. They are just both so different that it's kinda hard to compare. Basically Brendon=Professional Broadway Singer, Patrick=Soulful Rocker. Love them both but I think Brendon is the winner based on his technical abilities.
I guessed the person who compiled this was a Brendon Urie fan because there was some bias in the selection of the clips. I need to hear Brendon sing the US national anthem before I decide who's the better singer.
Erline Andrews I took most of Patrick's clips directly from "Patrick's best vocals" videos to avoid bias. Although there still may be some, i tried to avoid it.
Well i feel like it would be hard to compare them based off of one song because of their different singing prefrences and the song would have to be slightly easier for one of the singers. And I know that I might be biased, but i would say Brendon's better. But they're both amazing. And i feel like has a better vocal range. But just my opinion
Not to be that salty person but you didn't really use good videos for Patrick like you cut off the great vocal parts of This Ain't A Scene and SRAR and there are so many more amazing videos of him singing like the life on mars cover and you didn't really showcase his range but whatever nice video I'm just that one cranky person
I see what you're saying but many of these clips were taken directly from "Patrick's best vocals" videos so i figured they were alright to use. Appreciate the comment though :)
Patrick wins for me, always, I love Beebo so much, and he might have better voice, but there's something special in Patricks voice, that makes me happy no matter what, he just has the most beautiful and unique voice that I've ever heard 😊❤
BEEBO! Hes got the looks 💞 He's got the voice 🎤 He's got the kindness 😘 He's got the maturity 🙏 He's got a outstanding control over his voice 🎶 He's got good song styles 💁 He's very relatable 😍 He's amazing with instruments 🎹 Overall he's perfect 💙👑😘 (Just my opinions though I respect everyone else's thoughts about him.)
I don't honestly think it's a fair comparison like basically all of the Patrick examples are given shit audio in a concert from some random kid's iPhone and Brendon's got these professionally recorded videos (also, there are professional recordings of some of the Patrick clips that were shown, I just think it's a little biased towards Brendon I mean look at the name of the channel.)
I love both so much but brendon, he just has more range & control & can hit notes better, occasionally patrick doesn't hit high notes though he has a beautiful soul voice & is very strong due to his many stolen lungs
brendon has a larger range however patrick can belt way higher. He is also able to sing really softly and gently in a way that brendon cant. Brendon can hit his whistle tones really easily but patricks belt is stronger.
Patrick's voice is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, but, I gotta admit, Brendon's voice is probably one of the best of this generation. He has such great control and his vocal range is even bigger than his forehead. It's just so amazing. However, Patrick's voice is so beautiful. Still, I gotta choose Brendon. 💕
I have more of an emotional attachment to Patrick, though obviously I adore both of them, but Brendon definitely has the better voice as far as technique and range, though Patrick just really has that butterfly causing emotion to it
I'm a bigger fan of Brendon actually. But Patrick is also a great singer. I'd probably prefer Brendon's vocals since he encouraged me to bust my vocal range, but I love Patrick's voice as well. Do not ever ask me a question "who is better" ever please.
I love both voices, Brendon wins in my book. He can literally sing anything, I feel like he has the perfect tone in his voice for any genre if that makes sense.
I prefer Patrick's tone and vocal style. Brendon has an absurd range and is a five star performer. They both have incredible control and really could sing any kind of music or make any style choice and pull it off with perfection. 2 of the greats.....
In my opinion Patrick is better. He doesn't rely on his falsetto as much as Brendon does. He uses very well supported high belts. His chest voice on a good night can fly into the 5th octave with ease. I like his style better. Brendon has a very limited rock style to his voice, I love his voice but *IN MY OWN OPINION* Patrick is better. Also Brendon smokes cigarettes and weed all the time making his voice sound tired and pinched. Again my opinion. Edit: I noticed you used half of the Brendon clips from that live acoustic session from 2011 when his voice was at its best (in my opinion). It seems very biased and you didn't pick the best clips for Patrick.
Patricks's voice is sooooooo much better but his videos were crap so the comparison wasn't fair. But Patrick all the wayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! FOB for life!!!!! 😍💗
Brendon defiantly sings really high and holds them a lot and it's really impressive and proves he's not bad at all with the low notes which proves he's an incredible singer in a lot of ways. But then again so is Patrick, he doesn't do extreme high notes like Brendon, but when their is high notes he hits them almost perfectly every time. Folie live always show his talent so much cause it gives a good middle ground for the notes. I'd say Brendon because of the notes Brendon can hit and hold on the scale low or high
Thank you so much for including that performance of Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet because I worship that video like nothing else and was hoping so much that it would be included
I can see most of the comments section has never taken a chorus class or voice lessons. The closest thing most of them speak about regarding technique is range smh.
